Beautiful place directly on a small beach with a bathing island.
Nice simple place right on the water. Good starting point for a visit to Stockholm by ferry. Ferry terminal approx. 3 km away. Sanitary facilities are old, simple but always clean during our visit. At first we were concerned that there were not enough sanitary facilities. But waiting times were always very short.

Sometimes very busy depending on the pitch. Sanitary facilities simple and a bit outdated.
Super location
The site is located at the end of the island in a very idyllic spot by the water. There is a sandy beach for swimming, sunbathing, playing beach volleyball and kayaking. We went on great paddling tours from there. There is also a very nice hiking trail (2 km) around the campsite, along the water and... through the forest. Stockholm can be reached by car in just over half an hour. There is also a ferry, but it leaves from the other end of the island (3 km from the campsite). Travel time 75 minutes each way. Sanitary facilities are adequate, but there could be more, especially as the distance can be very long depending on the pitch. Rule of thumb: The further the distance, the quieter the pitch.

Tip for people who can do without Rambazamba
Simple, clean sanitary facilities with plenty of hot water. Long, uneven terrain where you can choose your pitch. As there is only one sanitary building, it is possible that you will have to pitch a little far away. If you stay longer, you can correct this on the second day. For children there is a great... sandy beach and a small forest where they can let off steam. If you can hear children playing during the day, it's as quiet as a mouse at night! The campsite is right by the water, but the first pitches are a bit far away and the view of the beach is almost obscured by the forest or the small restaurant. You can get to Stockholm by bus, about 300 m from the campsite, or by regular boat (approx. 1 hour journey time) from Vaxholm, about 3 km from the campsite. The price for a return trip is 140 crowns, 100 crowns for pensioners. If you don't want to walk, you can park your car near the harbor. The campsite doesn't put much effort into maintaining the meadow. This is not really a problem, but it should be mentioned.

Too few sanitary facilities for the size of the site, the sanitary facilities were too far away from the tent site and could only be reached via an unlit path. Nice location for visiting Stockholm or paddling in the archipelago.
