"Actually a nice campsite, many things could be improved - The campsite has a sufficiently large and well signposted access road. The barrier opens automatically with license plate recognition. Reception at the reception was ok. The pitch we booked was very steep, so we couldn't park our caravan parallel to the path. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities also left a lot to be desired. Some of the toilets were broken and/or not really clean. Unfortunately, we always had to queue to wash up as there were only 4 sinks available. The mini market was unfortunately closed, bread rolls had to be ordered in the restaurant (little choice). In the restaurant itself, food and drinks had to be picked up independently (with a beeper) at the counter. However, the Biggesee and the surrounding area are really beautiful. Conclusion: For us, not a campsite that we would visit for longer than 3/4 days. Very suitable for weekend trips or short vacations as a group.

"Worst New Year's Eve in a long time - I checked with the operator beforehand to find out how extreme the fireworks are here on New Year's Eve. There is a ban on the site itself, which unfortunately was not adhered to. Nobody is available in an emergency. In addition, the site actually has an associated private parking lot that can only be passed through a barrier to get to the actual campsite.... But this was OPEN FOR ALL AND THE PARKING LOT LIMITS DIRECTLY TO THE PLACE LINE 20 METERS. I SPENT THE WHOLE NIGHT IN MY DOG'S BASKET. We haven't had such a noisy New Year's Eve for a long time and for the price of 202 euros for 3 nights. The disposal of the camping toilet on the Rehweg was defective. Sanitary facilities are good and clean. At this time of year everything on the site is closed. The village of Sondern can be reached on foot in 20 minutes via a beautiful path. But we just wanted peace and quiet.

"Never again - I've been a camper for decades. I have visited dozens of campsites in my life as a camper. In all these years I have never experienced a more unfriendly receptionist than here. If you can't cope with all the digital bells and whistles, you should retire. Just the fact that I wanted to book an extra day presented the lady with an almost unsolvable problem. After I was supposed to pay almost 50 euros for one night (traveling alone with a car) and I interrupted, I ended up paying an additional 34 euros. If I hadn't been a member of a group, I would have left with flying colors. Beach not pleasant to walk on for disabled people like me. Downhill, lots of steps, no seating. On the so-called bathing beach........ full of duck droppings and unkempt. I wouldn't have let my children play there. Minimarket, this name corresponds to the assortment. Restaurant, chip shop

"great campsite even if the dog goes with you! - We celebrated New Year's Eve in a caravan on the campsite with two dogs. We liked it very much, our impression was: clean, well organized, well-kept, friendly, and a quick janitor who immediately made a small repair to the disabled toilet. We will definitely be back in the spring!

Everyone’s welcome whether it’s for an overnight stay or long term camping. Our all-season camping offers pitches for caravans, motorhomes or tents throughout the year. We look forward to your visit! The Lake During the summer season Biggesee provides an abundance of water activities, but if you don’t feel like joining in, you can always enjoy yourself on the private beach or relax on the spacious lawn. Playground No campsite is complete without a playground for smaller guests. Ours is within easy reach from all directions of the campsite. Children will find plenty to do to make their stay unforgettable. There is also a smaller playground for children up to 6 years old accompanied by an adult. Football and Training pitch The first thing you notice when arriving to the campsite is the football pitch. If you are planning to set up a football camp, the local football club is only too pleased to assist. Table Tennis and In-line Skating The in-line skating track and sheltered table tennis area are popular with older children and teenagers; good for catching-up and meeting new friends! (In-line and roller skating is not allowed around the camp site.) Diving The Biggesee diving club welcomes divers of all abilities; whether you’re an experienced diver with your own equipment and want a safety check carried out, or if you’re a complete beginner who always wanted to have a go at this exciting sport, visit the diving club. The diving school’s shop within the campsite is fully equipped with all the leading brands. Lessons in diving are of the highest standard with PADI and ANDI certificates available on completion of the course. Sauna There is nothing better than a relaxing sauna session after an eventful day. Our campsite Finland Sauna can accommodate up to five people, there is a cozy relaxation area, a generously laid out wet area with dousing include. For reservations please contact our service staff. Function Room The function room can be booked throughout the year. If you want to hold a birthday party, have a family gathering, or maybe a camping club get together, contact the reception desk and our staff will reserve it for you. Seminar & Meeting Room Our multi-purpose rooms can be reserved for various events. An overhead projector, screen and flip chart can be provided on request. For further information please contact the service staff. Indoor Barbecue One of our favourite attractions is the barbecue house; the cosy atmosphere on cold dark evenings turns every barbecue into a great sociable gathering. For reservations please contact our staff; and if you don’t have the time to go shopping we will arrange everything for you!
