Disorderly and musty registration. Run-down, occupied pitches. Very narrow paths to the tour site. Hardly any division of the pitches. Sanitary area really run down. Dark and 70s. Tarnished toilets, 1 sink for everyone. Showers have probably already been renewed. Nowadays we expect better facilities to feel comfortable. Unfortunately nothing was available over the holiday. The sanitary facilities are outdated and partly unusable due to soiling, alcohol consumption is very important to the campsite operator. The washing machine and dryer are only suitable for washing old rags, but definitely not for laundry that you want to wear again. The only grade that can be awarded is 5-.Unfriendliness and cheekiness in perfectionAs I said, this campsite is not necessarily suitable for normal people. There are some nice people on this site, but you should definitely be careful.
With regard to the operator, it is either good if you are also very fond of alcohol or if you avoid all other rather unpleasant encounters.
Greetings... are usually unpleasant and you always have the feeling that you have done something wrong.
There are only a few water taps. If you want to have water in the caravan, the maximum you can do is either with a water tank or you have your own well.
The electricity bills are rather incorrect, i.e. the electricity meters are most likely not calibrated and therefore the electricity consumption readings are incorrect.
With initially friendly and helpful neighbors, it is better to be reserved, according to the motto "good day and good way".

We were alone on the camping field because it was quite cold that weekend. What we really liked was the great friendliness at check-in, during our stay and also when we left. We were very impressed by... the helpfulness of the operators. No question was too much, a cable drum was simply lent to us (without a deposit or formalities), and the operator also provided us with a fire bowl and firewood free of charge for the evening campfire. There is a really good restaurant on site. The sanitary facilities are older, but spotlessly clean. The ladies' showers are brand new and very nice. Unfortunately without individual cubicles. The site is occupied by permanent campers and fitters, and is really NOT nice. Old and run-down mobile homes predominate. But the tent meadow is separate at the entrance and has nothing to do with it. The walks from there lead around the lake and into the village, which is very pretty. There's also a great ice cream parlor and a little castle by the water. Really beautiful to look at. It's a great place with a nice pub, reasonable prices and very friendly people. The transit site is a bit soggy when it rains, we always feel sorry for the campers. The sanitary facilities are strange: toilets from the 70s (a bit grubby), washbasin room from... the 80s (clean and strangely arranged) and then a brand new shower (with coins). The campsite has known better times, but I actually like it when not everything is so perfect :-) There is a great breakfast cafe/bakery within walking distance. The Hariksee is pretty, the Nettetal valley around it even prettier and the castle town of Brüggen is not far away.Käännetty automaattisesti.

Sanitary facilities: Only cold water in the entrance area, showers without doors. Second facility has hot water but no toilet paper. The site is almost 100% occupied by permanent campers. The tourists stand in a very quiet, sunny corner. The site is otherwise dominated by tall trees and shrubs.... Lots of birds with a pleasant wake-up call in the morning. Only one sink, but there were never any waiting times. Showers without curtains, modernly renovated. Washrooms and toilets have seen better days... There is a restaurant in the entrance area, good if you don't want to cook. If you are prepared to compromise on the sanitary facilities, you will feel at home here. A 15-minute walk to the Hariksee, a fantastic fishing area www.hariksee.com A very good and inexpensive wellness facility in the neighboring village of Börholz can be reached in a few minutes by car. www.myreturn.de... On the Schwalm, a small river adjacent to the campsite, paddling tours with 1 and 2-seater kayaks for hire are possible. The border towns of Venlo and Roermond in the Netherlands are ideal for strolling and shopping. Roermond not only has the shopping paradise outlet center www.mcarthurglen.com/nl/designer-outlet-roermond/de to offer, but also Europe's largest inland water sports area. The pub on the square serves simple but delicious food and is always good for a nice beer. If you want fine dining, you can find it nearby. Claudia K.April 2011We received a very warm welcome at this campsite. The fenced-in children's playground and the fine restaurant were the first positive things we noticed. The sanitary facilities are old and not very clean. The site is right on the edge of the forest in the middle of a huge recreational area and the use... of mosquito spray is highly recommended. The pitch was very unkempt, but the price of 11 euros for an overnight stay with a caravan for a family of 5 is unbeatably cheap.
