Popular hikes like Tre Cime are 2.5 hrs away but you are locked in so you will have to leave late. Resident would wait till my husband left the van to linger around and look in my windows. Making me very scared to walk around alone.Locked gates not able to exitPaid online and yet threatened/ and supposedly did report me for not paying. Have payment receipt. Continued to harass me for weeks for the payment.

We did some winter hikes, just perfect in this area.

The campsite staff were very, very friendly and extremely helpful.
The view of the surrounding mountains was impressive.
It's the details that make the modern sanitary building something very special.
During... our stay, the café on the site was still closed. But that didn't matter, as the town center is just a few minutes' walk away.

The sanitary facilities are excellent and the supply of bread rolls etc. works very well. We only enjoyed drinks in the restaurant. Everything was good! You can get everything you need in the village, which is a 5-minute walk away. The hiking area is known to be sensational.
The place is very good and can be recommended without reservation.Käännetty automaattisesti. - Sebastian B.July 2020Positiiviset- mmhm...difficultNegatiiviset- In addition to the newer sanitary building, there is also an old sanitary building that no longer shows (see pictures) - Cramped pitches where the price-performance ratio is unacceptable - Unfriendly staffUnfriendly, cramped and far from what the name impliesUnfortunately, we cannot understand the top ratings and also left early - despite the cost of the days originally paid for:
- Size of the pitch is definitely small and the paths very narrow; the trees are NOT trimmed and scratch the vehicle;
- While the newer sanitary building is good, the older one... is no longer up to date: showers far too small (clothes get wet), toilet paper only available centrally (and woe betide you if you don't think about it, then people are obviously not willing to keep the toilet bowl clean either) and then partly toilet with hole (see pictures)
- No playground and no bread roll service on site (approx. 10-minute walk to the supermarket)
- Unfriendly reception and also only hesitant information for questions about leisure activities - we did not seem to be wanted and also got a bad pitch despite pre-ordering (would have preferred to leave immediately)
Overall, the price-performance ratio is therefore poor.
On site (and this is not the fault of the campsite)
- The name "Rosengarten" is misleading: you have to walk about 20 to 30 minutes to the nearest cable car; there are hardly any parking spaces for campers on site, so it is better to use public transport;
- Places are very touristy (including the large mountain pastures): You then pay EUR 1.50 for a place setting at dinner - we don't know this from South Tyrol, but is possibly already common in Trentino; the quality of the food is OK.
- Mountain railroads are expensive, but obviously even more expensive than usual.
We can't recommend the campsite or its location - at least not as a family. We have otherwise experienced much nicer places (e.g. Seiser Alm, Sexten, Totlacher See, Klausen, etc.).Käännetty automaattisesti.Vastasi Camping Catinaccio Rosengarten August 18, 2020Good afternoon, sorry you had a non satisfactory stay at our campsite, prices are 24/h online and you should have asked for further infos about the pitch, if you did non liked it, nobody obliged you to stay at our campsite.
However, is not a case that most of reviews are between 4 and 5 stars and we... are happy and proud of it.
Please if you have any "accettable" advice we are here to read it and improve more and more our work for our Guests!

We really liked the site. We parked our camper van in the rear area, where there were also lots of tents. It's wonderful to stand there as if in a pine forest - somehow more relaxed than at the front where the larger motorhomes, permanent campers and... caravans are parked. The sanitary building and scullery are particularly great. Clean, modern and designed with great attention to detail. We have never seen anything so beautiful. A cycle path runs directly alongside the campsite, relatively flat, so that you can reach the more distant cable cars by bike and don't have to move the camper. The cable car in Vigo de Fazza is also within walking distance. Very friendly and helpful reception. Great view of the Violet area (Rosengarten) and even as far as the Langkofel group.Käännetty automaattisesti.

Great facilities and incredibly clean. Definitely recommended tav camping in winter and enjoy the beautiful slopes. You are taken by bus from the campsite to the elevator and after 45 min. skiing you are in the area of the Sella round.
