Always an open ear.NegatiivisetThe rental bathrooms only had bathroom 1, 2 or 3 on the door, maybe you should add rental then people don't rattle at the door when you're in the shower and complain that they're always closed.RateI felt very comfortable and was able to relax on the pitch. Nice quiet location and not far from the dike/North Sea. You can be anywhere quickly by bike as there are great cycle paths. Everything lined up in a row: the caravan has to be here, the car there - regardless of wind and weather! The site owner lived out his passion for mowing the lawn to the full on Saturday and Sunday (lawn mower, brush cutter, ...)! A quiet breakfast was out of the question. We had imagined a quiet, relaxing weekend differently. In the low season we usually know that you can stay until the afternoon free of charge - not here! We won't be coming back any time soon!Quiet campsite?We had been looking forward to a quiet, relaxing weekend a short distance away. Unfortunately this did not work out (see review). Super nice operators and staff. The sanitary building is thoroughly cleaned several times a day. Fresh bread rolls from the local bakery, a small kiosk and a very tasty restaurant round off the whole experience. Further stays have already been booked. Whether it's due to the current situation or a general pain point of the new tenants is impossible to say, but the peace and quiet is over. Lawnmowers, lawnmower tractors and petrol-powered brushcutters all day long, if they're not making noise, then it's people in their cars, coming and going all day long, cars driving back and forth, on coarse-grained gravel this results in an incredibly disturbing background noise in the long run. Perception certainly plays a role here, but what was once a jewel, an oasis of peace and tranquillity, is now a thing of the past. I'm really sorry, even though the Hinrichs family are super nice, the place has changed in a way that is negative for us.NOT for the sake of peace and quietAs already mentioned, in principle a great place, best location. However, the pensioners with their e-bikes and trendy cars, in which they supposedly have a better overview, have now also moved in here. Then coarse gravel on all paths, makes a lot of noise when driving over it, was not a good idea and... is simply a bad solution.
The new playground, wanted but not done. There used to be a wooden ship and a kind of bouncy castle here, which was imaginative, but these have given way to a standard set-up-apparatus-high-house-backyard-play-cage. And as I've already written, I'm happy to do without golf-grass-like motorhome forecourts if they come at the expense of peace and quiet and are worked on daily by brush cutters, lawn tractors and the like. Good place, but unfortunately no longer recognizable, a pity, it was very cozy and quiet, now it is quite terrible standard, but for the already dependent thinking Baden-Württemberger or Bayer apparently just right. Please forgive me, but not everything that is new is good, and time goes by itself, you don't always have to go with it.Käännetty automaattisesti. - Petra T.August 2021PositiivisetThe situationNegatiivisetNew operatorsNever again unfortunatelyWe had booked a campsite, arrived there with our motorhome and actually wanted to stay 9 days, we were parked on a small Womo parking space, (on the right of the path in the front at the back and on the side directly next to it further motorhomes. when we asked the campsite operator, he said he would... park all Womos there. And although we said that we would also pay for a parking space for caravans, we were told that we could leave if we didn't like it and that he could do without such a discussion. The Womo pitch is very small, so that only a table and 2 chairs fitted on the lawn, there was no room for our bikes. Someone was constantly walking across our pitch with their toilet cassette, for example, and then drove over to empty it.
Or our neighbor drove across our pitch with his bikes and then parked them in front of his motorhome.
On the normal campsite where, strangely enough, there were permanent campers, the pitches are really big.
And everywhere, including at the water taps, in the wash house, at the entrance and in reception, there were shrink-wrapped VER and GEBOT signs. Really embarrassing.
And 25 euros for a motorhome pitch incl. 2 people is absolutely too much.
We left early because it has no recreational value for us, too bad not everything that is new is also good. The site is in a quiet location directly on the North Sea dyke and offers clean, large pitches, some of which are separated by bushes.
Super well-kept lawns.

Dogs allowed on the site and the dyke. Sanitary facilities are getting on in years, but always clean and well maintained. The new owner (since last year) gave us a very friendly welcome and explained and showed us everything very well. We immediately felt very comfortable. Originally we only wanted to stay one night, but booked a second night on the same day. The... motorhome pitches are newly laid out and have electricity. The entire campsite is now being renovated. A new playground had just been built on the day we left.
There is a kiosk with delicious sandwiches. The restaurant is also said to be very good. However, we were self-catering. We can't say anything about the sanitary facilities as we used our own in the camper van. However, the disposal facilities were very easy to use.
You can cross the dyke in no time at all and then go on wonderful bike rides, walking or various boat trips from the nearby harbor.
