Very nice for an active vacation
Cozy little campsite that we used with three children as a starting point for excursions. We bought the Kärten Card and used it for a week for mountain railroads, boat trips, museums, panoramic roads etc. Of course we also went to the lake a few times, but we liked the nearby Dellach lido the best. Entrance... fees to the lidos are unfortunately very expensive (5 people 18-23 euros per day, sometimes there is no lifeguard).
The owners of the campsite are very friendly. Overall, a very good place on Lake Millstätter See if you don't primarily want a beach vacation.

I thought it was great that, unlike the campsites by the lake, it was more natural. The owners do everything themselves and do it really neatly. Everything is clean. Geese with their babies greet you every day and graze around the tent.
Negatiiviset
I don't see any disadvantages. Possibly that I don't think there is a bus service down to the lake. You need a car.
Super Camping
The campsite is manageable. Large pitches and space for tents. It is possible to order bread rolls. You can also buy snacks and drinks. To get down to the lake you have to use your car (but we didn't ask as we had a car). You have a great view from the campsite and can watch the beautiful clouds in the... mountain scenery at sunset. The owners do everything themselves and are on the farm from morning to night. In the morning you can hear cows, roosters, pigs, birds and geese. A great nature experience. Also exciting for children. And there is also a playground. The price-performance ratio is great.

Rustige, gemoedelijke camping met een wijds uitzicht op de bergen en met een vriendelijke gastheer en gastvrouw. Vrij centraal gelegen voor uitstapjes in de wijde omgeving.
Negatiiviset
Before you can start your excursions, you first have to get off the mountain. There is no view of Lake Millstatt from the campsite. My view was obstructed by one of the beautiful large huts, but: with stoel and tafeltje verkassen en het probleem is opgelost.
Relaxed camping
Mooie, schone en niet massale camping met prima sanitaire voorzieningen.
Good coffee and you can also eat a delicious pizza!

If you want an active vacation, this is the place for you. There is a great playground and a small petting zoo for children. If the weather doesn't play along, there is a games room. Bicycles can be locked away.

Very steep approach
The best sanitary facilities in the world!
We were at this campsite last year, in 2015, but because no one has written a review here yet, I'm doing it now. The place deserves it! The location is quite remote and the approach is extremely steep in places. We only had a small trailer with us, but our car had to struggle. The location is quiet,... the site is manageable and the pitches are quite spacious: There are great sanitary facilities, very modern, especially the family bathroom. And it's always spotlessly clean! There is a complete clean twice a day, with regular checks and improvements in between. We have never found sanitary facilities as clean as here. Second plus: the operators are very, very friendly and helpful. The site is an old farm and there are still stables where horses, pigs and chickens live. Runner ducks also waddle around between the tents. The problem we had had nothing to do with the campsite. It is incredibly difficult to find a lake in Carinthia where you can go swimming with your dog. There is a kind of dog beach at Lake Millstadt, but it's very crowded and not necessarily nice. You have to look for it and possibly go for a "wild" swim. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely stop off at this great place again.
