The campsite is nice, clean and cozy.
Plenty of electricity connection.
WiFi connection also sufficient.
Slightly more challenging hikes are possible to the surrounding area to 2 peaks... more than 1600m high with beautiful views. (The campsite is about 700m high).
About 6 km away - St. Aegyd am Neuwalde - there is also a small swimming pool and a supermarket.
There is a small shop and of course a pub :-) .

Marc d.September 2022PositiivisetStarting point for cycling and hikingNegatiivisetUnfortunately no restaurant nearbyStrength lies in tranquillityIn the fall, when it gets cooler after this hot summer, we pack away our SUPs, load up our bikes, get out our hiking boots and set off in search of a suitable campsite.
Camping is all the rage these days and for many people it's obviously a viable alternative. But as soon as the summer is over, it's... easier to find a place to stay again. This weekend, we opted for the Gippelblick.
We arrive there in the evening in the rain and are greeted warmly, which makes us feel welcome. There is a free choice of pitches. The permanent campers are separated from the tourists. The site itself is lovingly maintained and is located in a pleasant and uncrowded valley. The sanitary facilities are adequate and spotlessly clean and we look forward to the next morning. Right next to the campsite is a cycle path into the Traisental valley, which is easy to manage even for us occasional cyclists without electricity. We leave the camel theater and its restaurant on the left, no entrance with dog, but we enjoy the excellent cuisine and pastries of the Mahonie at the sweet station of St. Ägyd.
The Gippelblick campsite is a great starting point for cycling tours into the Traisental valley, to the Hubertussee lake as far as Mariazell, for hikes up the Göller and Gippel mountains, or simply to enjoy the peace and quiet of the surrounding area.

The campsite is really in top condition, the grounds are exemplary and the sanitary facilities - rarely seen so well maintained! It's a shame that the restaurant in the village no longer exists, but with the shopping facilities and the snack bar on site you can get by quite well. It is ideal for children as there is virtually no traffic and the main road is also a short distance away. There are large meadows and woods directly adjacent to the campsite. There is the possibility to play tennis and table tennis. There is also a nice little playground... with a swing and a slide. The campsite is generally very charming due to its many permanent campers. The camel theater is diagonally opposite and is especially worth seeing for children. No store.Beautiful campsite in a fantastic locationThe campsite is located in Kernhof not far from the Camel Theater. It is mainly used by permanent campers, for day guests there are meadow pitches with wonderful views of the surrounding area. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Electricity and water are sometimes a little further away from the... pitch. The sanitary facilities are a bit older, but newly renovated and very clean. Showers and hot water for washing up are charged extra, but are very cheap at 50 cents and 10 cents for rinsing water. Wonderful for hikes in the surrounding area (Gippel, Göller), dog owners (leash required) and cyclists! There is a small cyclists' kiosk next to the campsite where you can buy snacks and drinks at a reasonable price. No bread roll service and no store. The wonderful nature all around and the fantastic location with beautiful sunsets are certainly the hallmark of this campsite.Käännetty automaattisesti.
