"Site characterized by permanent campers - We stayed on the site with the caravan for an overnight stay. The site is characterized by permanent campers, but at this time of year there were very few of them. The sanitary facilities are modern and well maintained. The restaurant was closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, so we ate out in Nesselwang. Bread roll service is no longer available at this time of year due to lack of demand. Just under 45 euros in October for two people, caravan and electricity is not exactly cheap.

"Clean place with little flair - The child-friendly campsite is located directly on the Grüntensee. The reception was very friendly and easy. The sanitary facilities are clean and attractive. The washing-up water is hot and the site is generally very clean and the bread roll service is pleasant. The kiosk by the lake mixes really first-class drinks and the operators are very nice. The groundsman is extremely helpful. However, there are a few drawbacks. - Why can't I park my caravan the way I want? Please don't park it crossways. What nonsense. - The lake is not suitable for swimming, at least not on the campsite's own beach. It was completely muddy and you had to swim out 100 meters to get out of the mud. - Our pitch was much too small. The access road was very narrow. You had to maneuver several times to get out by car. This is not in keeping with the times - The lack of parcelling does not create a cozy atmosphere. - The site's own sewage treatment plant does cause a certain amount of unpleasant odors. - Measured against the size of the pitch, the stay was simply too expensive. In general, as there are already incomprehensible offers of child-free hotels, I would like to see campsites that are dog-free. The constant barking gets on my nerves. But that's not the campsite operators' fault.

"Camping directly on the lake - Great family place in the Allgäu. Many great hikes can be started in the immediate vicinity. The kiosk right by the lake is great and everyone is very friendly.

Experience the Allgäu and enjoy the summit and bathing fun in the midst of the magnificent mountain world of the Oberallgäu. Our idyllic, generously laid out campsite is located between Oberstdorf and the world-famous royal castles, between mountain slopes on …one side and the shore of the Grüntensee on the other, with a large and well-kept play and sunbathing area. It is ideal for both summer and winter holidays. Whether you are staying in a caravan, tent, motorhome or in one of our exclusive holiday apartments or rooms, the new ‘igloo huts’ or the directly adjacent motorhome parking area by the stream for 12 motorhomes with water and electricity connections – here you can experience, relax and enjoy. There is something for everyone in the family, including a large play and football area, a TV room and a room for teenagers, a fitness room, a pedal boat and SUP board rental, a sauna igloo hut, a new barbecue area by the lake with an open fireplace, and a range of activities in the surrounding area, including hiking, , swimming, sailing, surfing, fishing, climbing, cycling from leisurely tours to demanding mountain bike tours, two golf courses and in winter the cross-country ski trail with direct access to the grounds and ski lifts just 100 metres away or in other nearby ski resorts. Winter and snowshoe hikes, tobogganing, curling, ice skating or horse-drawn carriage rides are also on the programme during the cold season. The extremely comfortable 5-star sanitary facilities convey a real feel-good atmosphere with plenty of space and practical, child-friendly services, 2 family showers, hairdryer, make-up corner, washing machines and dryers, a generous washing-up area, a disposal basin and a dog bath with dog shower. In the cosy restaurant with a large sun terrace, you can indulge in Italian dishes, Allgäu specialities and fine homemade cakes, while you can enjoy the peace and quiet in the secluded kiosk by the lake and enjoy a snack for in between. Kempten, with its traces of Roman history, is particularly suitable for a city trip. Culture lovers will get their money's worth in Wertach, a climatic health resort and family-friendly village 3 km away, with folklore evenings, village and mountain festivals, concerts and autumnal cattle drive festivals.
