Electricity limited to 4 KW, but ok. The Hochschwarzwald campsite is highly recommended. If you like skiing, you couldn't be closer to a lift. This is on the other side of the road. This time we had another person with us, who stayed in the campsite's own rental caravan. For winter camping, the drying room (for clothes) could be a bit bigger, but it works just as well.Solid, beautifully situated campsite on the ski slopeNice location, ski lifts right next to the CP was ideal for our 2 children. No wellness or frills, but everything you need, including a small drying room for skis, 1 family bathroom, bread service, restaurant with home cooking (burgers were good). The Dutch manager was nice and helpful, even when I had... to reconnect the electricity and wanted to leave an hour later than planned. Most of the pitches are seasonal camping in winter (they seem to be a nice bunch with a snow bar party on Saturday evenings), only 11 tourist pitches, which are very easily accessible at the entrance - great for our first winter camping attempt.Käännetty automaattisesti.

The location was perfect for skiing 🎿. Our 3 boys (aged 7, 9 and 11) enjoyed the slopes. The operators are very attentive and friendly. We also visited the restaurant often. Super nice there too and the burger was great. There's... also a ski bus that goes past the campsite, so it's easy to get to Feldberg... The sanitary facilities were always clean. The drying room could be a bit bigger, otherwise everything was fine. We have booked the pitch again for next season. However, in the high season probably too few showers (3 for the ladies) and too few toilets (3). Hochschwarzwald, , A beautifully situated campsite at 1050 m altitude in the Black Forest. Nice large pitches enough for caravan front tent and car, on horizontal terraces. Electricity nearby (10A),only water taps are scarce. Sanitary buildings are modern... and beautiful. Showers are free of charge. Also shower rooms for family and disabled. No play equipment for children. WIFI is €2 per day and €5 for three days. Up to the caravan. Owners are Dutch and also speak German French and English. Unfortunately, our experience was very different. We wanted to stay for 2 nights with the camper van in October. The welcome was extremely reserved and we were told straight away that this would be bad as the permanent winter campers might... be arriving soon! Although they had seen our 7-meter-long camper van, they wanted to allocate us a pitch that was so narrow that it was almost impossible to drive onto it. What's more, the pitch was so unbelievably sloping that even with wedges it was still unspeakably crooked. When we told her after the unsuccessful attempt that we would be driving on, there was not a word of regret, just a short "Yes, that's fine", not a word of regret and no "goodbye". You could tell from the start that you were unwelcome, which had never happened to us anywhere before, as we generally approach everyone with a smile, even the grumpy ones. I took another look at the sanitary building, which didn't necessarily invite us to linger. In addition, the pitches in the lower area are absolutely unacceptable due to the constant noise from the street.Käännetty automaattisesti.

Hikes from the site are possible, great bread roll service, very nice and helpful operators. Generally very quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Great panoramic hikes in Todtnau-Berg possible from the Ratschert parking lot, excursions to Freiburg, Basel and the southern Black Forest possible. Actually, it's better to keep it a secret tip so that we can get a place again next time. I can only write for the winter, we haven't been here in the summer yet. The operators are super friendly, helpful and... fair. The infrastructure is simple, the sanitary facilities are old but clean. In winter there is a bit of a draft in the shower, but since it was such a nice vacation overall, it's hardly worth mentioning. The gastronomy is also simple, but good like at mom and grandma's. The place is - when it thaws muddy, a tarpaulin under the awning carpet helps (if you set up an awning in winter) Otherwise it is close to the ski lift, also has a good ski school in the village.Käännetty automaattisesti.

The ski lift is within walking distance and the prices for the ski lift and ski school are reasonable and cannot be compared with ski resorts in Austria. Tip: opposite the campsite in the forest, in the direction of "Stübenwasen", then in the direction of "St. Wilhemer Hütte" on the Feldberg. Then once around the Feldberg and back again. That's about 30 km and easy to cycle. The campsite is... mainly frequented by Dutch people. The operators are also Dutch. Unfortunately, there was no bread roll service. I was sent to the next village. That's 14 km there and back. Well.... Operators are only friendly to a limited extent. When I asked if they had bread rolls, they first discussed the whole thing in Dutch. Result: "Drive to the next village, there is a bakery opposite the town hall". The next village is Muggenbrunn, without a town hall. They meant Todtnau, well. I found the staff a little reserved and not very friendly.Käännetty automaattisesti.
