Een spa is bij ons nog altijd een wellness en een wellness heeft sauna's. Op de website staat dat in de overnachtingsprijs de toegang tot het zwembad is inbegrepen. Dit impliceert dat de toeslag voor de spa de toegang voor de sauna inhoudt. Je zou verwachten dat de 8 eur toegang voor de spa voor bezoekers van buiten de camping is. Uiteindelijk moesten we wel extra betalen om in de sauna te kunnen. Waar is de SPA toeslag dan voor? Een zwembad op zichzelf is geen spa en het zwembad zit volgens de website inbegrepen in de overnachtingsprijs.Prachtige camping, een klein dorp op zichzelfHet is werkelijk een prachtige camping met ongelooflijke faciliteiten waarbij werkelijk overal aan gedacht is. The all-round service of the campsite is simply great.
Unfortunately, over the years the food in the restaurant at the campsite has gotten worse and worse, tarnishing the otherwise great image of the campsite.
The completely overpriced... baked goods at the kiosk are also very bad.
An operator/baker with heart and soul should be in here, offering crispy fresh rolls and bread and delicious cakes and small dishes at reasonable prices.
But restaurants and bakeries are just a few minutes away.
Unfortunately, there are no small garbage cans for disposing of dog waste bags.

Restaurant, ice rink, toboggan run. Pitch 45 has been "our vacation home" for years. For some years now, we have also enjoyed the luxury of a private bathroom.
The guest fee includes a ticket for local public transport. This means that all nearby sights... can be reached easily and free of charge (e.g. Neuschwanstein Castle, Füssen,...). No need to search for a parking space. Discounts on various attractions (including the cable car) are also included.
The campsite itself also has an indoor pool - including a children's area - and a sauna area. You can also book various treatments / applications such as massages.
Children are also well catered for. With an entertainment program, sports field and a huge playhouse, there is no chance of boredom even in bad weather.
The well-stocked store is located directly on the campsite and offers everything you need, including fresh bread rolls.
Another highlight is the direct location on Lake Hopfensee with a view of the beautiful surroundings.

After a rather cool and unwelcoming welcome, we were given a pitch right next to the lake, which was unfortunately so small that we wouldn't have been able to put up our actual awning if the car had been on the pitch (and we don't have a large caravan).
Additional... tent for children not allowed; we've never had one!
The absolute "hammer", however, was the request to use the shower area of the sanitary building exclusively BARFUSS!!!! Yikes, where do you get that? Athlete's foot sends its regards, not to mention the liability if you slip on the wet tiles and injure yourself. Does the campsite then also bear the liability risk? Probably not... I wonder if the accident insurance fund/TÜV/other inspection institutions have never said anything about this?
Despite cleaning, the sanitary facilities are not as clean as we are used to from other campsites in this category.
But signs everywhere saying "don't do this, don't do that".
When we mentioned the circumstances, we were dismissed with the remark that the management would be informed.
On a positive note, we would like to mention the really great play facilities and offers for children and the direct proximity to the lake is also very nice.
However, the price-performance ratio was not visible for us, as I said, we are used to completely different places.
If you are looking for a campsite with "barefoot sanitary facilities", lots of restrictions, small pitches and expensive prices, this is the place for you. I have rarely seen such a variety of leisure facilities (indoor pool, wellness, cinema, lake with a great beach, etc.). The cleanliness of the sanitary facilities was also always excellent. Whether WC, shower, sink: everything in sufficient quantity, so no waiting... times. Super!!!
However, I was disappointed with the check-in. Here I was "treated" by a younger man. No friendly hello or warm welcome. He just rattled off his text and was reluctant to ask questions. As my wife is severely disabled, I had asked about barrier-free sanitary facilities. "Yes, they're with the others," was the curt reply.
A colleague must have overheard the not exactly child-friendly monologue and spoke to the young man.

One negative aspect of our stay, however, was that the residents of Hopfen am See do not want larger vehicles such as motorhomes, camper vans and the like in the village.
