Great location and almost directly by the sea
We felt very comfortable here as a family with 2 children. We found a wonderful place for the car and the caravan. Quiet location, great view of the sea, direct access to the sea and beautiful hiking trails. Nearby great beach with great waves.

Municipal site with an estimated 200 pitches. Friendly reception, but only in French and free choice of pitch. A large part of the terraced site is occupied by permanent campers. To get a pitch with a (limited) sea view, you should arrive very early, even in the low season. The pitches are rather small... and have sparse grass or what is left of it by caravan awnings with ground cover. Unfortunately, what the previous writer said about the smell in the wash house still applies. The lighting in the sanitary area is apparently controlled by a motion detector in the corridor. After about 3 minutes in the cubicle you are sitting in the dark. (No glasses, no paper,...no light) The morning baguette is available between 8:15 and 9:15 at the inconspicuous wooden stall next to the entrance. The "Baguette Traditional" is fantastically good. A footpath runs along the sea in front of the campsite. The "Pointe du Grouin" is about 20 minutes away (2 restaurants on site). In a southerly direction, the path leads after 15 minutes to a small bay with several restaurants/brasseries. Cancale is about 5 km away. A staircase leads directly from the campsite down to the beach, but this is only narrow (at high tide) and only partially suitable for sunbathing due to algae deposits. We paid 24.80 for a mobile home with 2 people and electricity in mid-September. Barbecuing with charcoal is permitted.

The location is really great, especially if you can get a pitch with a sea view. The sanitary facilities are sufficient in terms of number, but the cleanliness left a lot to be desired and there was a very bad smell in the toilets. (2009) Unfortunately, the smell in the toilets has not improved, but it is just sooo beautiful there. And in Cancale itself, the vacationer has everything his heart desires (2013)

Like pretty much every municipal site, the price is quite reasonable. The site is largely parceled out with medium-aged trees. Separate area for motorhomes and overnight stays. A few pitches on the lake side with a great view of the Baie de Mont - St. - Michel; this is easy to see in clear weather. Otherwise... a well-kept site with clean sanitary facilities in a single block. There is direct access to the hiking trail along the coast on the sea side. However, this is steep and has no bathing beach, only a stairway down to a tide-dependent boat landing stage; you can possibly go swimming there - in my opinion only for fit people because of the waves. Friendly staff. Unfortunately, no catering on site.
