"Pleasant place - Friendly welcome, large pitches without partitions, level, grassy, under large deciduous trees (semi-shaded). At our time the site was about half full. A small river borders the site (no swimming, somewhat overgrown, SUP rental). Very quiet, not very well lit at night. Toilets no longer new, but clean. Bread can be ordered (very tasty), otherwise very little food. Nice village within walking distance with restaurants, castle tour. Free entry to a small public swimming pool right next door.

"Camping to explore the area - Community campsite not far from the castle, HS, electricity and 2pers Euro 19.- Right next door there are camper pitches incl. water, electricity and WC for half the price. The campsite is large, large pitches and never full, even in the HS. Friendly service. Bread service. The sanitary facilities were ok...not outstanding, but clean. Mowing the lawn from time to time would be an advantage. Access authorization.

The Le Sabot campsite benefits from a pleasant location in the middle of the Loire Anjou Touraine Regional Nature Park. Just a few metres from the campsite, you can reach the historic town centre of Azay-le-Rideau with its few shops …and admire the prestigious castle. Located on the banks of a river, this is a great place for nature lovers and those seeking peace and quiet. Large pitches, sunny or shady, a completely flat campsite designed for all types of vehicles. Electricity is available on most pitches (10 A). Please note: don't forget your European adapter to benefit from it! The Le Sabot campsite offers 182 sunny or shady pitches. In high season, you can order fresh bread and croissants every morning at the reception. Ice cream, cold and hot drinks and local products are also sold in the small shop on the campsite. We practice ecological pastoralism on site! You will no doubt see (or hear) our two sheep helping to maintain the green spaces. To make the most of the summer, take a dip in the pool! This municipal swimming pool, located next to the campsite, has a large 25-metre pool and a paddling pool for the little ones! Activities, swimming lessons, freestyle swimming: a moment to share... Free access for all campers. We have thought of the little ones! A play area for children has a large inflatable structure (for children aged 3 to 10), a suspension bridge and swings. For older children, a relaxation room with a television is available throughout the day. For the more sporty, a table tennis table is freely available. Enjoy a moment in nature by the Indre river, directly from the campsite! Alone or in a group, you can rent a paddle boat at the campsite thanks to our partner Paule & Mike. Free or themed walk to the foot of the Château d'Azay-le-Rideau. This activity is suitable for all ages.
