K.June 2024PositiivisetGood starting point for the hike to Preikestolen Choose your own place Had no problem with rain and there was plenty of it nice staff clean sanitary facilitiesNegatiivisetA little restless in the morning hours Sometimes very long distances to the sanitary facilities, there should be several of them.Good starting point for PreikestolenMany people come and go on the site, which is certainly just a stopover on the way to Preikestolen. Sanitary facilities could be improved, modern is not everything, the distribution on the spacious site must also be taken into account.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- R. D.July 2022Positiiviset- best location to Preikestolen - free choice of seats with - timely arrival - friendly staff at the reception reception - souvenirs - Sufficient number of showers, waiting time reasonable - Shopping in the immediate surroundingsNegatiiviset- very restless and bustling place - garbage bins full - some places from mud and mud not usable - bad WLAN, " without Internet connected" - Broken barbecues scattered around the siteA desert of mud when it rainsWe visited the site for 3 nights on this trip. For this price we found it the worst of all the places we used.
The site is really only usable to use the Preikestolen and then drive back. The campsite is quite restless, from 3 a.m. the van doors open and close and there is a lot of hustle and bustle from... cars setting off for Preikestolen. During the day, the site is correspondingly quiet. You could say that the WLAN doesn't really work. There was a power and water cut 3 times in one evening. There was probably an emergency generator running. The place was full, every green strip was used for camping and parking.Käännetty automaattisesti. - Andreas G.July 2020PositiivisetPark-like groundsNegatiivisetnoneVery nicely laid out campsiteThe campsite is exceptionally well laid out and almost resembles a park. The facilities are very good. The sanitary facilities are modern and always clean. The reception is professional, friendly and uncomplicated. Guests are free to choose their own pitch. There are well-gravelled pitches for camper... vans or meadow pitches in small niches or by a small pond. Everything is very tasteful, right up to the reception building.
There is a small restaurant there. The coffee and cakes are very tasty.
Due to its proximity to Preikestolen, it is of course more of a transit campsite, which detracts somewhat from the very good overall impression. The site is also very suitable for a visit to Starvanger, 30 minutes away by car.Käännetty automaattisesti. - Bernd E.June 2019PositiivisetLocation to PreikestolenIdeal for hikingQuite a large campsite with everything you need, good and clean sanitary facilities, which are included in the price. - Wilfried V.August 2017PositiivisetProximity to PreikestolenNegatiivisetPitches not parceled out, so first come, first served.Spacious transit areaIdeal place for hikes to Preikestolen or sightseeing (Stavanger), Lysefjord. It is always coming and going so very busy. Friendly staff, sanitary facilities could be cleaner. For 2 or 3 nights it's ok.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Patrick G.July 2017Positiiviset- Close to Preikestolen - Dog friendlyNegatiiviset- Soaked pitches - Sanitary facilities could have been cleaned more intensively - PlaygroundIf you want to go to Preikestolen...The site lives from its location on Preikestolen, so it is a logical consequence for visitors. The sanitary facilities were well frequented, but not quite up to the standard in Germany. More regular cleaning would have been desirable. The rainy weather certainly contributed to this impression. The rain... also left the pitches (at least the meadows) heavily under water, which made them difficult to use / drive on. However, there are also gravelled pitches if you like that... The pitches are not parceled out and it can get quite crowded. The children's playground is rather uninviting. Dog owners can leave the site anywhere and go for long walks.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Lutz M.July 2017PositiivisetA short walk to Preikestolen. We drove to the Fjellstue parking lot at 05:00. Parking fee 200 NOK.NegatiivisetNo pitches, "wild camping".A night of horrorWe stayed at this campsite for one night and we love campsites that are divided into plots, which is unfortunately not the case here. When we lay down to sleep at about 22:30, we were woken up by 2 large Italian families. Large families who had parked their Womo at a distance of 1 m from our Womo. The... loud banging of doors and loud conversation between the families prevented us from getting to sleep. It was not possible to make contact due to the different languages. At 11:30 p.m. we moved our camper van and spent the night in front of the campsite close to the amenities.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Ulrike F.June 2017PositiivisetEspecially in the rear area beautiful idyllic pitches on the meadow, close to the Preikestolen hiking parking lotNegatiivisetWhen the place is really full, too little capacity in the sanitary buildingIdeal place as a starting point for the hike.- very nice spacious place spread over several meadows, surrounded by mountains, free choice of places - in the middle there is a (less idyllic) asphalted area - the nicer places are where there are no electricity distributors, many trees provide shade if you want it - showers are included in the price,... if the place is really full, it could be quite cramped in the sanitary building - place is about 4km from the hiking parking lot at Preikestolen. Bus connection availableKäännetty automaattisesti.
- Stedo u.June 2017Positiiviset- Good proximity to the Preikestolen - WLAN (although very sporadic) - Modern sanitary facilities with large shower cubiclesNegatiiviset- too few sanitary facilities esp. shower cubicles - Price-performance ratio - Meadow very hardened and stony (- very many mosquitoes)2 nights campingSix of us arrived in the late afternoon and had a free choice of pitch. As this campsite is well situated for Preikestolen, we booked 2 nights. The campsite was very busy for June, so some of the good pitches for tents were already occupied by caravans. As this is apparently normal despite the many permanent... pitches for caravans, the meadows were well filled with gravel from the roads and well hardened. The sanitary facilities were well maintained, but after many showers there were often large puddles in the large shower rooms. As the drain was in the corridor, the water was literally pushed between the feet of those waiting. There were 3 shower cubicles (very spacious), which I consider to be too few for the main season (for such a very busy campsite). When a coach full of young people arrived, the sanitary facilities were literally paralyzed. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. WLAN was available. 2 nights > 1 tent, 2 people + motorcycle 500 NOK. (Parking Preikestolen by the way 200 NOK for car, 100 NOK for motorcycle)Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Andreas M.June 2017PositiivisetBus cab to PreikestolenNegatiivisetPrice-performance ratio not ok.Starting point for hikingNice welcome at the tourist-only site, mainly used by Preikestolen hikers. Gravel and grass pitches, although the grass was very soggy after several days of rain. Bus transfer from the campsite to Preikestolen, also bus stop for the public bus line in front of the campsite entrance. Sanitary facilities... certainly not enough when the site is full, but ok and clean during our stay in the low season. Wifi free of charge, kiosk available for the essentials and a small selection of hot meals was offered.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Ulrich 6.July 2016PositiivisetWifi and showers incl. Close to the PreikestolenNegatiivisetToo expensive; too few and too dirty sanitary facilities. Pitch almost unusable, especially in the rain.Nice place, but...Beautifully situated site on a small lake. Ideal as a starting point to Preikestolen. ( Shuttle bus available for a fee ) Parking at Preikestolen now costs NOK 150 ( 07/16 ) The service building and the sanitary building are relatively new. The latter is supplemented by containers. WiFi is free and stable,... showers are also included in the expensive price. The summer helpers speak reasonable English, no Norwegian ( minus point ) The site is very long, which makes it easy to find a quiet spot if you haven't just got stuck after the not uncommon rainfall in this area. The tracks are very clear. A bit of gravel could definitely be laid here, or the tracks could be removed in a timely manner. Unfortunately, there is only one sanitary building (including the container). The paths are too far, especially in bad weather. The site is littered with puddles, the largest directly in front of the passage to the sanitary building. This was already considerably dirty on arrival at noon and was not cleaned before the next day. (Big minus point) The helicopter takes off from the campsite for the Preikestolen sightseeing flight. Here strong noise disturbances are to be tolerated. Conclusion: It is worth looking for alternatives, you have to drive a few kilometers to the Preikestolen parking lot anyway.Käännetty automaattisesti.

- Jens-Walter D.September 2015PositiivisetThe location to Preikestolen and the landscapeNegatiivisetThere was a problem with the power supply in the evening (9pm) which was quickly resolved after a short phone call.Quiet location and ideal for the ascent to PreikestolenWe stayed on the site for 2 nights at the beginning of September 2015 and were given a very friendly welcome. The sanitary facilities were clean and well maintained, washing machine, dryer, cooking facilities and dishwashing facilities are available and in good condition. The site also makes a well-kept... impression and is in a great location for hiking to Preikestolen. At that time the site was only occupied by about 35 motorhomes / caravans / tents, which of course made the whole thing very relaxed. In our opinion, approx. 30 euros / night for 2 adults in a caravan with electricity and showers is reasonable for the location of the site. We felt very comfortable there and can recommend the site from our point of view.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Markus B.August 2015Very nice, clean, cheap and centrally located place!A fairly large campsite, with everything you need. Very clean and well-kept. Very friendly service. Good central starting point for hiking or similar activities.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Marcus O.August 2015PositiivisetLocation to the Preikestolen, free WLAN on the entire siteNegatiivisetexpensive, Sanitary should be cleanerTransit point for Preikestolen hikersWe climbed Preikestolen from here and stayed here for two nights. Staff were very friendly and competent, a very young team throughout. On arrival we were told to look for a space, with the note that they had no more free sockets. We then looked for a space and were able to plug into the neighbors' cable... drums, which was probably the custom there. The next day we were able to re-park once and had a nice spot in a wooded area, which was great. The sanitary facilities are actually ok, but due to the large crowds, they need to be cleaned more often. It's just a transit site.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Fredy B.July 2015PositiivisetInfrastructure. Well-maintained sanitary facilitiesNegatiivisetnoneCP management dynamic and positionedA young team takes care of a well-kept CP. The sanitary facilities are spacious, well equipped and well maintained. There is a restaurant on the site. The campsite is a good starting point for the hike to Prejkestolen. A shared cab from the sanitary facilities takes you to the Preikestolen parking lot every 1/2 hour. A very good place by Norwegian standards that we can recommend to anyone.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Hans M.June 2015PositiivisetLocation, friendly staffNegatiivisetExpensiveFriendly but expensiveWe stayed there for four nights to visit/travel to Preikestolen, Lysefjord and Stavanger. And it's the only place that is situated in such a way that you can do all this within a short distance. Preikestolen so why and I think they pay for it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The place itself is not very nice only functional. Sanitary is very simple (partly in the container) but was always clean with us (little going on).Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Jürgen W.May 2015PositiivisetConvenient location to PreikestolenStarting point to PreikestolenRustic campsite that is probably mainly visited by hikers to Preikestolen. Bread roll service to order, chips, hamburgers etc. for the small appetite. W-Lan is available throughout the site. The shower cubicles are spacious, not very clean but the hot shower water is free, but the pitch fees are correspondingly high. On the whole, the campsite does not make a well-kept impression.Käännetty automaattisesti.
