The barrier opens automatically with license plate recognition. Reception was very friendly and courteous. An Activecard is handed out with which 130 activities in the region can be used... free of charge.
Great pitch with water, waste water and electricity. All pitches are equipped with grass pavers so that caravans/motorhomes stay clean.
The site has a very modern sanitary building, which was always clean. The sky pool is absolutely amazing and the sauna area is also really great!
The restaurant and bar on the campsite are highly recommended. The breakfast buffet also leaves nothing to be desired. (only with advance reservation!)
Conclusion: A really great place that calls itself a resort. Great surroundings for hiking and mountain biking.

You have to pay €20 per person per day for the sauna and it doesn't open until 3pm. The kicker, however, was that the disposal of the black water was not free of charge. Two euros are charged for this. We've been campers for years and we've never really experienced this before. The site also has a nice view, but is rather sterile and has far too much concrete. 1 normal Kaiser roll costs €1 (outrageous),

Indoor playhouse with only table football, billiards, table tennis and maxi Lego bricks.

When you come out of the pool you freeze your A.... off, there is no airlock for cool days!
Conclusion:
Nice place with room for improvement.

The staff, whether reception, hotel,... kitchen, service, cleaning, groundsman, always courteous, helpful and friendly.
We have been there several times a year for short or long stays since it opened and can rate the place.
And yes, this service and luxury comes at a price. But it is worth it.

To the town center max. 2 km,... there are shopping facilities, restaurants, . .
There is a lot to explore in the surrounding area.
In front of the CP bus stop for the local bus and others.

Overall, there is no pleasant true camping feeling. The store is moderately equipped. Not a classic store for a campsite. But you can get everything in the village. We didn't go to the restaurant.... The restaurants and inns in the village were more attractively priced. It wasn't the right place for us. What wasn't so nice when we made the reservation was that we were offered a €100 carefree package without being asked. I think that's cheeky, especially because you only find out what it's all about when... you ask and are told that you can leave it out.
Nevertheless, the campsite is clean, has a nice green area next to the pitch and all the necessary connections.
The playhouse and the playground are well maintained and great for children. really high praise.
We also made extensive use of the activity card, as the tourist tax is steep enough and you have to take everything you can with you.
On departure, we were in for a second rip-off surprise. The kWh price of no less than 95 cents. Even at the height of electricity prices, I didn't pay 95 cents. The customer is really ripped off again on the last day. It was a real luxury experience! 🏕️✨ From three saunas 🧖♀️🧖♂️🧖♀️, an infinity pool 🏊♂️ with breathtaking views, to a gym 🏋️♀️ - this campsite had everything to offer.
There were more than enough rental... bathrooms 🛁 and I was particularly impressed with the disabled facilities, which were some of the best I've ever seen in Germany. The sanitary facilities were fully accessible by elevator! 🚻♿
The reception area resembled that of a luxury spa hotel and the staff were incredibly friendly and courteous 👩💼👨💼. Not to mention the restaurant with its excellent cuisine 🍽️🍷. The taste and presentation of the dishes were simply outstanding!
All in all, I can highly recommend this campsite. The pitches are clearly structured and large enough. The sanitary facilities are tip top and always clean. The staff are extremely... friendly and helpful. The Skypool is indeed worthy of a 5-star rating. The regulation of times for children and adults is well organized. You can read the house rules in advance!
The price level is high but justified.

After seeing a movie about the campsite on YouTube over a year ago, we were keen to visit it. On Google and Camping.INFO, you can find lots of reviews, some of them contradictory. Apparently, the campsite in Bodenmais only... gives you two choices: you either love the campsite or you don't. You can tell straight away that the campsite was planned and designed on a drawing board or computer. Of course, the planted trees don't provide any shade due to their age, as the site is only in its third "year of life".
I also had doubts as to whether we would be able to park our camper van properly on the site, which is optimized for rain run-off. After all, we only have the standard Fiamma drive-on wedges. We were allocated pitch 410, where it was no problem to park our Womo horizontally. A check with the spirit level we had with us confirmed this. Although the pitch assigned to us was a smaller pitch, it was big enough to park our luggage trailer without any problems.
The Camping Resort Bodenmais is exemplary when it comes to sanitary facilities, no expense has been spared here and a new standard has been set in Germany. Which campsite has Keuco products?
We didn't want to visit the swimming pool on 12.10.2022 with an outside temperature of 16 degrees, even if the water temperature was more than twice as high, as we are also not sauna goers, the only thing left was a walk to Bodenmais, as we didn't want to leave our almost 13-year-old dog alone in the evening, we didn't go to the restaurant for dinner in the evening. At the beginning of our review of the CRB, I wrote that you either love it or you don't. My wife and I love it. My wife and I love it.
