- Monika M.elokuu 2020PositiivisetVery beautifully situated place on the Ilz. Pleasantly unagitated and not typically German...! Friendly operators with their heart in the right place...!NegatiivisetNone...- but not the right place for German wellness campers with huge camper vans!Vacation summer 2020A wonderful place to relax in unspoiled nature with kingfishers, great crested grebes and eagle owls...!Käännetty automaattisesti.

- Anne K.elokuu 2018PositiivisetWonderful for hikers and those seeking peace and quietNegatiiviseta little out of the way for shopping...Family-friendly idyllic nature campsiteIn the Schrottenbaummühle you will find a family island in the middle of the Iltz, which cannot be accessed by cars. There is another site for events and group camps, pitches for motorhomes and caravans. Beautiful, clean sanitary facilities in the main building and very good food at reasonable prices. A bread roll or breakfast service is also available. We felt very comfortable and stayed there for a week after a long tour with two motorcycles.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Klaus M.lokakuu 2017PositiivisetRomantic location in the Ilz Valley - at least in the low season.NegatiivisetNot an easy journeyAttractive mini camping - at certain timesThe Schrottenbaummühle is a real idyll at certain times of the year. Beautifully situated directly on the Ilz river, ideal for romantics without demands for hiking or mountain biking. Camping is clearly a side issue here, pitches with electricity only, attractively renovated sanitary facilities, but... simple and not always clean; certainly not sufficient if the site is well frequented. Even in the quiet fall season, the sanitary facilities are used by the many day visitors, which is not good for them. A recommendable and inexpensive minicamp in the low season.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Wolfgang B.syyskuu 2017PositiivisetEverything already writtenNegatiivisetnoneRoom , Overnight staySUPER rooms, all new and for this price. Catering typically Bavarian, just as it should be. 5 stars. Friendly service and the chefs resolute and competent.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Alois Z.elokuu 2017PositiivisetRestNegatiivisetAccess, staff have too little time for registration and deregistration runs alongside the restaurant business.Short vacationWe were on the site for 3 nights and the access road is not without the inn on the other side of the guest garden very narrow and quite steep. The pitches are not very big. Sanitary facilities are also used by the guests of the inn therefore much too small and also not very clean. Otherwise a quiet place to relax and hike.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Sonja S.elokuu 2017PositiivisetPlenty of space for campers during the week, inexpensive, no booking necessary, swimming in the Ilz, lots of nature to hike inNegatiivisetAt weekends there is a lot of noise at night and no sleep is possible as it is used by locals as a party locationOnly recommended during the weekWe spent ten nights at the Schrottenbaummühle on the edge of the Bavarian Forest. The Schrottenbaummühle is unbeatably cheap. We paid €12.50 for 3 people per night. It's also great that there's a huge meadow for tents, with plenty of space to play badminton and the like. There is also a special area... for families with small children. The Ilz is also dammed, so you can swim in the Ilz right next to the campsite. However, there are also negative things to report. There were few tourists camping, many of them only for one night. The campsite is mainly used by locals at the weekend. At the weekend it is packed with party people, which means that many come without a tent, but with lots of beer crates and loud music. As the alcohol level rises, so does the volume of the music, which goes on all night long, including the bawling. As we spent two weekends there, I assume that this is normal. Despite good earplugs, sleep is out of the question at the weekend. You also have to be prepared for drunks stumbling over the tent cords. The infrastructure is also borderline with 3 toilets, 2 showers, 3 washbasins in the bathroom and 3 washbasins in the super-small washing-up area for the weekend. As far as cleanliness is concerned, it has to be said that the toilets are not cleaned very often, especially at weekends. That's when they should be cleaned more often. The toilets themselves were left clean by the gestures, there is nothing to complain about. However, the floor was constantly dirty with soil from the campsite. Also, the toilet paper was hardly replenished in the first week or on the first weekend, so it happened that there was no toilet paper for a day and was only replenished after I complained. The staff's focus is clearly on the guesthouse or the Schrottenbaummühle restaurant, the campsite tends to run on the side. I also got this impression when I checked in, when they didn't even want my address but just wrote down my surname and town of origin. Checking out was even stranger. Never before have I experienced someone collecting the money, turning around and disappearing into the kitchen immediately. Without a good trip or goodbye, anything nice or even being asked once, everything is fine. The staff made a very stressed and busy impression and as I said the restaurant comes first. During the whole time I didn't see anyone checking the campsite or the campground. Also, no one was available or approachable regarding the nightly disturbances at the weekend. Although there are campsite rules that are posted in the appropriate places, there is no one there to enforce them. So my conclusion is: in view of the reasonable price, the Schrottenbaummühle can be recommended, but I recommend arriving on Sunday from 12 noon or leaving on Friday by about 3 pm. I can only recommend a weekend stay with a clear conscience to campers who come with a caravan, the tent meadow is only suitable for people who want to party themselves. People who want to sleep, e.g. because they want to hike the next day and want to be fit, should avoid the weekends. Excursions can be made from the Schrottenbaummühle: 3 Burgensee, Passau, Czech Republic, Lipno Lake with treetop path, Lusen Zoo, hikes in the Ilz Valley and much more.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Harald S.huhtikuu 2017PositiivisetPeace, friendliness, no cell phone receptionNegatiivisetnoneGreat placeIf you value "all-round care" and perfect infrastructure and like to "go out in the evening", you've come to the wrong place!!! But if you love peace and quiet, clean sanitary facilities and friendly operators and staff, this is the place for you. We spent the first long weekend in May on the site and... were delighted - despite the initially bad weather. The restaurant with its great cuisine deserves a special mention. Always worth a recommendation. It's just a shame that the site is relatively far from the highway and therefore not ideal for a stopover.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Torsten H.elokuu 2016We were there in August 2016!The location and tranquillity of this place are simply brilliant, you can really relax and enjoy nature. Even my son (18 years old) didn't miss the lack of cell phone reception. All in all a great place! Gladly again!Käännetty automaattisesti.

- Wolfgang L.huhtikuu 2016PositiivisetActually, everything fits.NegatiivisetA bit out of the way if you have to go shopping.Simply greatWe have been going to the Schrottenbaummühle 2-3 times for years. We always find it relaxing if you don't crash in the restaurant with good food, i.e. too much alcohol. Great for hiking. Along the Ilz you can often see trees being worked on by beavers. Canoeists and kayakers often get into the Ilz from the site.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Wilfried G.syyskuu 2015PositiivisetQuiet location, pure nature, relaxationNegatiivisetNo cell phone connection possible in the Ilz ValleyNature - pureI have been a regular guest at the campsite for years. The associated restaurant with garden, the friendly staff and the very good cuisine can even be recommended for a day trip. For hikers (Panduren hike) there are cozy, clean and generously furnished rooms available. All in all - reasonably priced.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Jo S.toukokuu 2015PositiivisetPeace and quiet - beautiful hiking trails along the Ilz - rustic inn with good fish dishes - everyone very friendlyNegatiivisetThat would be whining on a high level..... (no shopping facilities on site)Small, fine - in dreamlike surroundingsA cozy, small campsite in the quiet seclusion of the Bavarian Forest, with wonderful hiking trails along the Ilz.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- axel k.heinäkuu 2014Wonderfully quietWe were there for a week in July and it was very relaxing. The restaurant belonging to the campsite has good regional cuisine. Sanitary simple, but clean. Hiking from the CP or in half an hour almost everywhere in the Bavarian Forest. We don't need any more and will definitely be back.Käännetty automaattisesti.
