The site was very clean and well maintained. What I missed a little is that the pitches are not gravelled. Otherwise, the site is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. The food on offer at the Kormoran restaurant was also excellent in taste and reasonably priced. All the staff made every effort to ensure the camper had a perfect stay. I would like to emphasize the employee Frank at the children's bouncy castle. Always friendly to the children and always ready to answer any questions. I would also like to highlight the two security staff. Both were always in a good mood and did a great job. Keep it up.... And finally, I would like to mention Mike Will, the boss of the facility. He is incredibly nice and courteous. He has his store fully under control, as we "Swabians" say. Keep it up....Mike...!! We will definitely be back!!! It was a great stay with you... Overall a great stay with great impressions of a beautiful campsite.
The site is manageable and easy to walk around.
I was very satisfied with my stay here in Wettenberg.
We had great camping days at Wißmarer See.

As soon as you drive in, you get the impression in some places that you are driving through a scrapyard. Of the 3 sanitary buildings, 2 are totally outdated, some of the showers don't work (despite expensive shower tokens, 6 for 9! euros), mold on... the ceiling, disgusting shower curtains, shower cubicles far too narrow, disgusting smell, no barriers at the washbasins. In the new sanitary building there are a few individual showers and a communal shower! Nobody needs that anymore! Not a single water tap on the pitch, you always have to go to the sanitary building, which is sometimes several hundred meters away. You have to be careful not to break your bones at the garbage dump.
Totally unsuitable for a feel-good vacation. 2 days are just enough to keep the feeling of disgust within limits.
This place is not recommended. You could do so much with it. The location on the lake is beautiful. The place would have a lot of attractions to offer but everything is broken. The sanitary building seems to be new but is impossible because there is no ventilation. It stinks and is unkempt. All this is bearable for one night.For me, this is one of the places where "we don't have to go to so much trouble"I would only recommend this place for swimming. Food was good but unimaginative. It is better not to occupy the owner's personal parking space. Unfortunately, you have to guess where it is. There is no indication. And the parking space is also located in the entrance area of the wash house. But... it's better not to park your bike there.
We only found out about the drone used by the campsite operator to monitor the site after the fact.

In the meantime the reference is missing on the website. There is only a general reference to camera surveillance. Hair in the drain, on the walls of the shower. The shower curtain at the sink was already moldy at the bottom!!! Toilets were not really clean either. Not even seen a cleaner there in 4 days... there were only 2 sinks for washing dishes, you always had to queue. The pitches themselves were not really well maintained either, the lawn had not been mowed for a long time, next door are permanent camper pitches that look as if no one has been there for years, there was just garbage in the garden. I wouldn't book there again.OK for a few days but nothing more.Dogs are not allowed in the lake, they should go into the stream next door, where the current is strong and there is not even a slope.Käännetty automaattisesti.

The sanitary facilities at the restaurant, including the disabled bathroom, were very clean.
We spent wonderful days at the campsite. A big thank you to Mike and his whole team - always in a good mood, always friendly words, a... "chat" and always a smile, no matter how busy you are.
The restaurant "Zum Komoran" spoiled us with delicious food and fresh bread rolls in the morning. Children are also very welcome. Our grandchild had a lot of fun on the new big jungle gym and on the clean sandy beach. You can also hire pedal boats.
We have found our feel-good oasis with you....

New clean sanitary facilities, you need a card to enter, so no bathers come into the facility. Restaurant with terrace on site. The lake has a lovely wide sandy beach, which is cleaned daily. We had a great time here and explored the surrounding area with its great castles and old towns.

helped us a lot in an incredibly difficult situation. Our wife and mother didn't wake up after an operation and we had to accompany her to hospital, which is almost 300 km away from our home. We couldn't find a vacation apartment or an affordable hotel room anywhere nearby... for such a long time. When Mrs. Will heard about our situation, she immediately did everything she could to help us. This allowed us to be on site very flexibly and inexpensively. It is impossible to put into words what the campsite, including the caravan, meant to us during this time!
The most beautiful place in the world, with all its people. Thanks to Mrs. Will with her big heart.

- Daniela N.August 2022Positiiviset- The lake is of course the highlight - Well-maintained, renovated sanitary facilities - at least at the restaurant - Large pitches - You can cater for yourself completely on the pitch through the restaurant - Direct access to the Lahn, also for canoes or boats - you can rent pitches around the entire lake = so you always have access - the sandy beach and entering the lake are very pleasant due to the sand - relatively quiet, only at night can you sometimes hear a train or a few carsNegatiiviset- Power connections are not at every pitch => 60m cable was just enough - No WLAN, not even at the main building or in the restaurant - many prohibitions: no dogs in the lake, no alcohol, no ball games, no music - the worst, however, is the lunch break from 1pm to 3pm: so if you want to have a leisurely brunch and then do something afterwards, you have to plan carefully so that you can get off or back on the pitch! - There are also times for garbage disposal, which was a bit strange for usNice pitch, but short lineWe liked the pitch very much. After we managed to overcome the problem of the electricity connection, we no longer had any obstacles and were able to enjoy our stay very much.
The geese and ducks are used to people and come to the pitches in the evening to dispose of the leftovers.
The sanitary facilities... are well maintained and guests have their own access with a card so that campers don't have to share the toilets with the day guests.
