We saw "wild" horses, donkeys and many bird species. At night you can hear the jackals crying, great!
The campground is quiet and neat. Sanitary facilities are clean. Kitchen also. Hostess is very friendly and speaks good German.
Bike rental is unfortunately not there yet. So bring your own.

Rarely have we found such a great, shady spot.
In the immediate vicinity is an old Roman imperial city: Sremska Mitrovica

I feel completely at home here. Super nice, quiet campground with lots of amenities. Super hospitable people who are always there for you. From here you can go in every direction to get to know Serbia. Especially as of yesterday there is a super new road with a separate bike path along it. Otherwise we felt very comfortable here, with this heavenly peace. A night watchman came at night. If coming to Serbia then Camping Zasavica is a must.NegatiivisetNone!Superb CampsiteSite is well laid out with electric and water to cater for Motorhomes and Caravans. It is small and very peaceful and quiet set in a National Park. I have stayed at this site twice so highly recommend it. The shower/toilet block is the cleanest and most modern i've seen and very impressive...better than... what some may have in a house! There is a small Restaurant and bar 5 minute walk from the site which does a good Goulash, cold beers, and Espresso but if you want to cook you will need to buy supplies from a local shop. Campsite Director Jovan (he speaks excellent English) is an extremely friendly and helpful guy. The town of Sremska Mitrovica is well worth a visit too. This is the only place you can find Donkey Cheese made and sold...you won't find it anywhere else so is a unique experience.

The owner was very nice and talkative man, he gave us a lot of useful informatons about Zasavica...we've spent a nice weekend and we will return again.

The site is very clean and the operator is extremely nice and friendly. The sanitary facilities deserve special mention: they really are the very best - modern, very pleasant and spotlessly clean!
