- Britta K.July 2023PositiivisetSize of the CP, beautiful view, swimming pool, playground and play hall for childrenNegatiivisetMud placecozy campsiteThe campsite is really nice, we had a great pitch with a direct view of the mountains. The only thing was that we got pretty soaked in the bad weather, the water was standing on the pitch. Otherwise everything was great, the wash house is modern (except for the toilets, which are probably still being... renovated). The showers were great, although the squeegee suddenly went missing after 2 days (and didn't reappear), leaving the floors very dirty. CP is centrally located for numerous activities. We particularly liked the cycle path to Mayerhofen. It's also really nice for children. We will definitely be back 🤗Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Joachim P.June 2022PositiivisetWell-kept facilities, Economy, friendly operatorsNegatiivisetI can't think of anythingHighly recommended! We were very positively impressed by this beautiful and well-kept pitch, especially the sanitary facilities were in a class of their own!Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Wim H.August 2021PositiivisetSmall cozy campground, centrally located, with very friendly staff. The sanitary facilities are super and the pitches are spacious. The restaurant is excellent with pleasant prices. Reasonably fast WiFi, also in the evenings at the "popular" times. There is a bread service.NegatiivisetThere is a chance that you will be built in by large RVs, obstructing your view. The distance to electricity can be great, there were guests whose cable was too short to connect. Our site was next to a road over which noisy mopeds rode quite often.Pleasant stay in Zell am ZillerWe found our stay to be very pleasant and the expectation is that we will dock here more often.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- July T.May 2021PositiivisetClean sanitary facilities, excellent restaurant, children's program, hiking program, pitches with sun or shade, children's playground, town can be easily reached on foot in 10 minutesNegatiivisetEverything perfectFamily campsite with swimming pool and restaurantWe received a very friendly welcome. The check-in went really well and we were able to choose a seat ourselves. The great restaurant is still run by the Hofer family themselves. The bathing area and the swimming pool are very well maintained. Everything is decorated with love. The sanitary facilities... are thoroughly cleaned. The guests adhere to all current measures in an exemplary manner. We liked it so much that we booked our favorite place again for August.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Jürgen R.August 2020Positiiviset- Top view depending on pitch - Nice showers - Centrally located in the Zillertal with many excursion destinations and hiking opportunities.Negatiiviset- Narrow driveway - Exit not easy due to hedgeNice little place, centrally located in the ZillertalWe were there with the caravan in August and had a nice pitch (Feld-Weg 21) with a good view and still a bit of shade, which was quite good at 30 degrees. The restaurant on site offers good food at a slightly higher but still acceptable price.
The staff on site and in the restaurant are very friendly....
The entrance regularly becomes a bottleneck, a marked waiting zone or instructions would be helpful here. Tip: Take a look at the whole thing beforehand with Google Streetview.
The center of Zell can be reached in about 10 minutes on foot. The campsite is very centrally located in the Zillertal with many excursion destinations and hiking opportunities.
Good offer of rafting and canyoning tours from regional providers.Käännetty automaattisesti. - ilse z.May 2020PositiivisetCentral location in the village. Good bus connection. - Rüdiger G.October 2019PositiivisetGreat location and transport linksAgain and again !We were here a week ago and are totally thrilled. Despite the building site and fresh country air, we would come again. The reception was uncomplicated and friendly. The sanitary facilities could be really cramped when fully booked. Otherwise everything was ok. The distances to all excursion possibilities... are quite short. As the valley is quite flat, you can cycle along the Ziller with the family. If you want to pitch an awning, you should bring sturdy tent pegs. The ground is partly like concrete.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Klaus A.August 2019PositiivisetQuiet, central, clean, cozyNegatiivisetNoneNice clean placeThe campsite is very centrally located, 10 minutes to the train or bus, so you can explore the entire Zillertal without a car. There is a restaurant on the site itself and others in the nearby village. The sanitary facilities were very clean (if the guests in the toilets allowed it). Showers and toilets are available in sufficient numbers, I never had to wait during the 14 days of my vacationKäännetty automaattisesti.
- Rolf A.August 2019PositiivisetpersonallyPersonal and very pleasant1 night with dog, 10 min. walk to the center with lots of restaurants, sanitary facilities WC very modern and clean, highly recommendedKäännetty automaattisesti.
- Jolanda G.July 2019Wonderful Stay in ZillertalAll in all we loved our stay and can recommend to anyone who enjoys quiet holidays on a boutique site .. Looking forward to our next holidays there.
- Anja E.July 2019All in all very satisfiedWe were there in July and the campground hosts went out of their way to find us a spot. The sanitary facilities are new and always clean. We will definitely be back!Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Jörg F.July 2019PositiivisetIdeal location for excursionsNegatiivisetNot suitable for large trailers!Small beautiful campsite with a few small quirksWe stayed with the Hofer family for 2.5 weeks. It was a nice little site if you're not necessarily traveling with a large caravan and have two children (4,7) with you. The sanitary facilities are in good condition but could be cleaned a little more often when fully occupied, unfortunately in my opinion... there are not enough toilets and showers available, waiting times are inevitable. The access to the site is very narrow, with large caravans the caravan has to be unhooked first to get through the entrance. The site is very popular with regular Dutch guests, to whom the operator is very friendly, while guests who are here for the first time tend to be more direct. It is a small, quiet site, ideal for couples traveling alone with a small caravan.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Astrid A.July 2019PositiivisetGenuine hospitality, great sanitary facilities, cute swimming pool. Location of the site, shopping facilities in the village, the really good restaurant.NegatiivisetThe vacation goes by too quickly.gets better from year to yearMy family and I have been coming to this campsite for many years now, it's like a positive virus, and we're not the only ones. Many camper families have been coming here for several generations. It is not a place of luxury, a place that places great value on the needs of its guests. No one is forced... to set up one way or another here, lots of camper freedom with plenty of hospitality. The owner family lives the camping host in an impressive way, chapeau. We will definitely be back.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Florent v.June 2019PositiivisetFriendly, price performance is right. Pitches big enough. W-Lan free of chargeNegatiivisetUneven pitches ,a place in a beautiful area !!!!!!!a place with a beautiful view, pitches about 80 - 100 m³ large, unfortunately quite uneven, and little shade, sanitary facilities not always clean, (not always the operator is the scapegoat, but unfortunately many campers). Bread rolls on pre-order . no shopping possibility on site . several stores in the village or nearby . Beautiful excursion destinations in the immediate vicinity.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Peter H.June 2019PositiivisetClean sanitary facilities, very friendly, good leisure facilities in the regionCamping in a great regionUnfortunately, we were only there for four days, but we had a great time. Our neighbors were mostly from the Netherlands, who were, as expected, very nice. The Hofer family and their staff were also always friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back and hopefully stay longer. Many thanks to the Hofer family and their team.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Uli W.July 2018PositiivisetLocation. Leisure activities. Activities possible without a car.NegatiivisetNone.Wonderful location with many leisure activitiesA small, but not too narrow place in the middle of the village, which offers many leisure and sports facilities nearby. The great outdoor pool (5 minutes away by bike), many hiking trails, the free hiking bus, the Zillertalbahn or many beautiful bike paths testify to the successful leisure activities... on site. It is quiet, a small refreshing outdoor pool on the square, W-Lan with changing reception and nearby stores (by bike 5-10 minutes maximum) round off the good location. Friendly staff and a good price-performance ratio have convinced us to come back soon, maybe also in winter for skiing.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Philipp A.July 2018PositiivisetCampsite with lots of air around, lots of charm, super nice operator family, fine gastronomy, nice little swimming pool, super sanitary facilitiesNegatiivisetUnfortunately, the vacation here always passes far too quickly. The apricot schnapps in the pub is just too good!!!????!!!!Small but very nice campsite with lots of charmSmall campsite run with a lot of heart. The owner family Hofer has the motto "Where guests are also friends" and you can feel this in everything. Here you will find a campsite that is not uniform, but gives everyone plenty of individual options. The Wirtshäusl with its culinary delicacies and the friendly... staff round off the overall package perfectly. The village of Zell am Ziller is beautiful and offers everything for daily life as well as for leisure and strolling. Small, well-run stores round off the offer. Shopping facilities are in close proximity to the campsite, so it is also very interesting for motorhome drivers. The highlight of this campsite is the host family (young + (old)), they are very committed to their guests and fulfill all possible wishes. The weekly guided hikes by the host couple are really recommendable and you learn a lot about the region. We have been coming here for many years and are not the only ones to do so, which is the best advertisement!!!Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Thomas S.July 2018PositiivisetFriendliness of the operators Location restaurant Peace and quiet The service New sanitary facilitiesNegatiivisetNot for meA beautiful vacationThis was my 3rd time at this small, quiet, family-run campsite. I will certainly come back more often. Super friendly staff, both at reception and in the restaurant where you can eat very well. Canper wishes are read from the eyes and fulfilled. CAMPERS ARE FRIENDS HERE, you can feel it. The sanitary facilities are new and relatively clean. On some days a 2nd or 3rd cleaning a day would make sense. Great value for money.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Judith B.June 2018PositiivisetBeautiful place in a great location, very good restaurant at the campsite, dog-friendlyNegatiiviset-Vacation in the camping village Hofer only to recommendWe stayed at Camping Hofer for just under a week at the beginning of July - with a camper van, two adults and two small dogs. Unfortunately, the reception was closed over lunchtime when we arrived. But they had put a notice on the door with pitches that were free for the next 10 days. A great idea, so... we were able to have a look around and choose a nice pitch. The campsite consists of two parts with a small road running through them, but that doesn't bother us at all. We didn't like the rear, sheltered part of the campsite as much as the front, but the pitches facing the meadow with a view of the mountains were particularly nice. Depending on the pitch, however, you can hear the road leading into the village a little. The site is very well located, it's only a 10-minute walk to the center with several restaurants and cafés as well as a supermarket. The cable car is also easy to reach by bike. We really enjoyed eating in the restaurant on the campsite, the pizza was top class - better than many a pizza in Italy, the service was great - really recommended! It's just relaxing to be able to walk the few meters over to the restaurant to eat, we also liked the beautiful outdoor terrace and our dogs were allowed to eat with us. The World Cup matches were also shown, which was a real bonus. We would have liked to try a few more dishes in the restaurant. The shower facilities in the sanitary building have been completely renovated, really great facilities and clean. Unfortunately the toilets have not yet been renovated, hopefully they will tackle that next. Although the toilets are also good, they are of course a bit outdated and not quite as clean as the showers. The scullery has also been renovated and is very modern. Zell is a nice little town, it's easy to cycle around as it's very flat. Unfortunately, our cycle tour to Mayrhofen on the last day fell victim to the weather forecast... We recommend a hike to the Schulhaus restaurant. The hike to the Gerlossteinwand, which is not exactly easy, also offers exceptionally great scenic experiences. The cable car from Hainzenberg is small and comfortable. For me, the Rosenalmbahn was the exact opposite of small and cozy - far too much halligalli, nice for children perhaps, but for me it has nothing to do with mountain hiking and experiencing nature. There was also a building site on the mountain, which was unfortunately also very noisy and the construction vehicles constantly driving past you stirred up a lot of dust and didn't exactly contribute to relaxation. The only thing that spoiled my relaxation on this vacation, and of course it's not the campsite's fault, is that there seem to be plenty of ticks in the Zillertal. Our dogs had several bites and I was bitten once myself. I am vaccinated against TBE, but my dogs are not. I've never had this experience in the mountains and it seems as if these useless beasts are spreading more and more. Certainly important to know before traveling to the Zillertal. Incidentally, the week at Camping Hofer was quite good value as we were able to book a weekly package, a great offer! All in all, many thanks once again to the friendly staff at the campsite and restaurant, we had a very nice vacation!!!Käännetty automaattisesti.
