Of FOUR stoves in the kitchen, FOUR were defective.
In the men's washrooms, some sinks were so clogged that they didn't drain properly. (EKELIG)
It was the same with some of the urinals.
The camping butler was also, how could it be otherwise *DEFECTIVE*

No information in advance that the hot water in the kitchen and shower/sink did not work. But delayed shower card without credit. We stood undressed under the shower in the sanitary building and there was no water available.... An unparalleled back and forth. In addition, the comments that you shouldn't make such a fuss and that you can get by without hot water.
The food is also not exactly of good quality and not very tasty. It wasn't always like this. We have been coming to the lake and the restaurant as day guests for many years. The interior furnishings are poor and unappealingly outdated. Toilets mostly not very clean. The outdoor area is quite unsightly, especially in high season, due to full ashtrays and used dishes from previous guests. However, this is quite understandable given the short staffing of the service team. The green areas are good, but three of the 11 washbasins in the men's section are defective. One of only 3 wash cubicles is defective. For the ladies, out of 10 washbasins, 4 are defective and some of the lights are faulty.
Some of the water points are not turned... on or there is only a small amount of water.
This has been the case for over a year.
I've been to many campsites and even with old facilities, a fault is rectified after 2 days.

We are totally thrilled and would definitely recommend this campsite to others. The actual and real disadvantage is that we waited almost an hour in the restaurant, maybe that can be worked on - at the moment... you hear a lot about staff shortages in all sectors. We'll turn a blind eye here. Everything else was really great. Very clean, including the sanitary facilities, very nice and friendly staff, our dogs and our daughter (14) really felt at home, as did the parents of course :-) We have already booked again for 2024.Käännetty automaattisesti.

The sanitary facilities are clean and the food in the restaurant is also delicious.NegatiivisetYou should avoid motorhome pitches that are close to 249 to 259, as these are used as tent pitches. We have just experienced this, at the weekend there were several large groups there with lots of loud shouting and music, you couldn't get any peace and quiet from morning until late evening, sometimes at night. Outside in front of our mobile home, it was not possible to have our own radio or a proper conversation, so please be careful, it was not designated as a campsite, let alone pointed out to us, we were simply allocated a pitch. Too bad about the money for such a bad weekend!!!Sad but true!!!We give the campsite only one star, who is only concerned about getting the place full, must expect that there is criticism. As many tents as on the weekend can't go well. Different youth groups and other language groups showed no consideration for the guests who were 1 row in front of them. We will not be back. This led to a lack of plugs at the electric columns in one area of the site. The problem was quickly resolved with the help of neighbors.

First-time offenders, so to speak.
All in all a nice weekend. Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio is not right at all! As our pooch slept in its own small igloo tent (on the same pitch as the caravan), we were charged an additional... €6.50 per night for another (tent) pitch. This resulted in a nightly rate for three people of €44.50 including electricity plus showers. That is too expensive for the service! And this (insane) price for a small tent is unfortunately not included in the price list. To make matters worse, the calculated price does not match the homepage price list: For a "tent mini" it should actually only be €6.00. What a shame!!!Käännetty automaattisesti.

The tourist pitch in the second row was nice and big and absolutely flat. The pitches for the caravan bikes were paved with grass and the paths were paved. Fresh water near the pitch, waste water at the sanitary building, electricity at the pitch.... The path lighting is switched off at night, so it can be very dark. There were quite a few dogs there, but they weren't a problem. Freshly baked bread rolls in the morning - I can't say anything about the other catering options. There are other restaurants within cycling distance (3-4 km). Father's Day celebrations with the permanent campers took place, but were not disturbing in terms of volume - you have to be allowed to celebrate sometimes. The staff are friendly and courteous. There was always a cleaner in the sanitary building - it was always clean. You can shower with a chip card - so you have to hurry a bit. The garbage collection point had clearly exceeded its capacity on Sundays.
There are trampolines, Kettcars etc. for children.
There's plenty to see in the surrounding area - the Kaiser Wilhelm monument, Minden, Bückeburg and more. That's too much for a one-off short vacation. So we will be back :-) We liked itKäännetty automaattisesti.

Unfortunately, we have witnessed the downward trend, right down to the lackluster management by municipal employees.
Gone...
The new operators are clearly making an effort to breathe life back into the square, which is also worthy of great... recognition from a financial point of view.
You can see it in the square: new play equipment, exterior redesign of the buildings, integration of gastronomy.
The pitches are spacious and the sanitary facilities are clean.
The only drawback is the baked rolls in the morning.

The staff are friendly. The sanitary facilities are modern, very clean and are cleaned twice a day. The beach with children's playground was nearing completion during our stay. There is a kiosk on the beach where you can buy ice cream, food and drinks. From the... campsite you can easily cycle to Bad Oeyenhausen, Porta Westfalica or Minden. If you want to go to Bad Oeyenhausen, you can also use the "Amanda" ferry, which shortens the cycle route by several kilometers. This campsite is located on a lake.
