The staff are friendly and always ready to help. There is also a gas vendor on site and chilled bottled drinks at reception. Unfortunately, the bistro is currently not leased, so you always have to leave the site if... you are hungry/thirsty and don't feel like cooking. However, according to the owner, they are looking for a new tenant. What is also not so nice for the kids at the moment is that the playground can only be used to a limited extent. Unfortunately, the large play tower had to be dismantled due to defects, but according to the owner, something new is planned. Alternatively, the kids can also borrow Kettcars from reception in the summer months to race around the site. You can be in the forest to the right or left of the campsite in no time at all and can go on beautiful hikes. Sights can also be reached quickly by car. The pitches for vacation campers are very clean. Electricity on site, water a few steps away. The wash houses are old but very clean. Food... is very cheap and tasty on site.
The price of the pitch is really great.

Bread roll service (pre-order until 4pm), at the reception is a small selection of wine + beer available but nothing else. The operators were super friendly and helpful. Food in the attached restaurant... was very tasty. Amorbach with several shopping facilities is easily accessible via a cycle path (approx. 6km), as is Kirchzell (bakery + butcher). Good hiking possibilities directly from the CP. We did not test the associated indoor swimming pool. There is currently some renovation work going on at the CP, we did not feel disturbed by it. - Klaus G.April 2019PositiivisetNew sanitary facilities. Hiking with the dog.I liked it :-)Finally, after 21 years, I was back on a campsite, no longer with a tent, but on tour with my own motorhome. What can I say, it was the right choice. I was greeted by the campsite manager, who was very nice and friendly and immediately showed me everything I needed to know as a new camper. He also helped... me fill up my water supply. A large site of around 60,000 square meters lay before me, where I quickly found the perfect spot for my wife, dog, camper van and myself. It should be mentioned that the site and everything that goes with it has been under construction and modernized by the new tenant for about 2 years. That's why the sanitary facilities are almost as good as new and some of the sanitary facilities are clearly used - but everything is clean. The surrounding area is perfect for hiking, it is quiet and there is no aircraft noise. The access road seemed to me to have little traffic. Conclusion: We will be back Käännetty automaattisesti.

The reservation and registration process is simple and uncomplicated. The operators and the entire team are extremely friendly and courteous. The sanitary facilities are well maintained and clean. The bistro offers tasty and generous portions at reasonable prices. Everything... is designed and decorated with love and passion. There are plenty of shopping opportunities in Amorbach, about 5 km away. The swimming pool offers an additional leisure opportunity. The operators are still developing the site and are in the process of creating a real gem. Of course, where work is being done, you will still find the odd small building site or room for improvement. But that doesn't matter. On the contrary, the operator and the team are always happy to receive constructive suggestions and tips. So far I see the place as a real little insider tip and can only say that it is definitely worth a visit. We were on the site at Easter and in addition to the Easter bonfire, the Easter bunny was also invited and gave the children plenty of presents. What a great event! We were in the NS for 3 nights. We had. The luck that Bavaria had no vacation and we stood in peace on a parking space . Our children loved the go karts. The sanitary facilities were super clean. The swimming pool was fantastic. Bread roll service... was great. No kiosks so we had to drive a little further to go shopping. The CP very clean. We are still enthusiastic about the friendly people. With dog the CP is unfortunately a bit bad because we have not found a good way to go for a walk from the CP with the dog. Maybe we overlooked him ??? Cupboards, buckets, electric cables, etc.Once, but never again!Short version: Reception of the young gentleman, very friendly, over all pink-terrible, the "villa" right at the entrance of the boss, does not go at all, if the place deserves zero stars. Immediately after 5 minutes as I was walking the dogs, I was approached by an older man who told me to go outside... with my dogs, that there were 4 exits. One was the driveway, one was a cow pasture, one went no further and one was a meadow. He told me to tell my dogs to lift their legs outside the field first. There were two small dogs. He had a very rude tone, I would have preferred to leave immediately. It later turned out that it was the owner. In that case, this tone was not at all appropriate, especially as, apart from the few permanent campers, the site was very poorly frequented. Before I make such comments, I would first clear up the garbage that lies in every corner, it can be done in a day. Instead of driving around in a golf cart all day, you could do it yourself, not to mention the grim face. The boss should actually be the face of the campsite. The whole thing - simply impossible. After two days we said goodbye - forever. That's not possible. We've been campers for 40 years. We are sorry that you got such a bad impression of us.
I would like to address some of the issues you have raised.
Perhaps I can manage to convince you a little bit that you don't see things quite so strictly :-)
The owners' "villa" that you mentioned, which in your opinion is not possible... at all, serves as their sleeping, dining, living and office space.
As they have to spend a lot of time on the site, a large caravan (country house with fixed awning) is the best solution in terms of space.
I think that you and I would have something like that if we had to spend weeks on the site to work.
That's actually the case with the 4 exits. We have 2 exits into the forest, one exit onto a large meadow and of course our driveway. That you should tell your dogs to lift their legs outside first was probably a bit exaggerated on Cheffe's part and perhaps not meant soooooo seriously ;-) ...anyone who knows him knows that.
Our team, including our boss, has been working for months (we've only been here since August 17) to get the site back in shape. Former permanent campers who left everything on their pitches made a lot of work for us...in the meantime we have also cleared most of that away.
Of course there are still one or two construction sites that we still have to work on and are already working on (wash house 2 completely renovated, wash house 1 just in progress, indoor swimming pool will follow before Easter and wash house 3 already has a new roof, bistro finished etc..., but you know yourself that you can't do it all in one day, although the boss helps diligently.
I know that you carry a bad impression with you for a very long time, but maybe you'll feel like visiting us again sometime and convincing yourself that we're a pretty nice team after all.
We all have an open ear for our guests, because we want you to feel comfortable with us.
A small note at the end... We were allowed to welcome you as our guest every morning for 5 days, not just 2 :-)

I don't want to offend anyone, but we have formed the following opinion based on our experiences: We were there in the fall of 2018. It was relatively quiet and we had a free choice of pitches. There was no real parcelling, although... it was there, but nobody really pays attention to it. 25 meters of power cable can get tight here and there. The operators say of themselves that they are "different". Well, this statement is absolutely undeniable. You receive a friendly and courteous welcome. You have to find out for yourself how different you are and, above all, whether you can cope with it... Humor is very important (I think that's very good in principle), but the whole thing has its limits if you have a serious question and are answered with sarcasm or irony... As I said, if you can handle it, no problem. But not everyone's level of humor is the same, so it can lead to a little "upset" here and there. It becomes clear who wears the pants on the square when you drive past the pink-painted lantern, the pink flamingos and the plastic sheep in the driveway... ;-) But well, I don't want to make any judgments - it was just our observation and too much kitsch for us. But that's not so important. The site is in a very quiet and idyllic location, and the access road over the narrow bridge can be a bit of a sweat for longer caravans. But we had no problems. There is simply no cell phone reception, but there is free Wi-Fi in the registration area, which regularly reaches its capacity limits in the evening. If you don't have cell phone reception, you just use the information material in the registration area - not an issue so far. However, XY's event program from 2017 doesn't help me in 2018 either... The sanitary facilities aren't just old, they're stone-cold and even older and in a questionable condition in places. Not only is there a need for action here, but a major renovation is necessary everywhere, which is also evident from the fact that there is apparently no hot water in one or other wash cubicle due to ancient pipes. The dishwashing room is simple but adequate, the baby changing room is in an unexpectedly "newer" condition, the chemical toilet disposal, on the other hand, is a joke squared: no storage facilities, all cleaning equipment comes into contact with the "goods" to be disposed of and there is no way to operate the whole thing "touch-free". The fact that the toilets only have flush toilets is okay - it used to be that way - but the fact that the "washbasin" in the anteroom of the sani, which is shared by both men and women, is more the size of a cattle trough takes a bit of getting used to. Well, that's one thing. The cleanliness of the sani is the other and here the operators and the cleaning crew are really behind it! Not a hair on the floor, no dirt in the showers, clean toilets and washbasins, absolutely spotless. You rarely see such a blatant clash of "old" and "clean", hats off! Especially when you consider that this ancient work of ceramic, sheet metal, silicone and tiles, where nothing really fits together, also means much more cleaning effort than new sanitary facilities with smooth surfaces... There is a bread roll service and you can pre-order until 4 pm the day before. However, if you're on vacation and not a late riser, this won't help you much, because bread rolls are only available from 8:15 am - that's definitely too late for us. For others, however, this may well suit, so it's a relative thing. Ketcars and pedal cars are available for the children at the campsite. This is great, especially because they are relatively new and in good condition. However, the fact that they cost an extra 1 euro per hour is a bit borderline in my opinion. The playground in front of the campsite is very large and offers plenty of play opportunities for the kids. The associated swimming pool costs 3.50 euros for adults and 3 euros for children aged 4 and over. It is old and unfortunately not very clean. There are particles of the anti-slip mats on the steps and tufts of hair floating around in the water... Unfortunately, we only noticed this when we were already inside. The cleanliness of the pool leaves a lot to be desired compared to the sanitary facilities. There is probably a lot of renovation work to be done in the coming months and years, which is sorely needed. The place is okay for a short stay, but I wouldn't want to spend a longer vacation there at the moment. But if you look at the price/performance ratio, the campsite is fine.Käännetty automaattisesti.

As already mentioned here, the operators and staff are indeed friendly and open. Water and power supply are sometimes really far away. We didn't discover any real division of the pitches, except for the permanent campers. Sanitary facilities are clean but very... dated, there is a real need for action here. The surrounding area is actually only accessible by car, as the site can only be left via a busy country road and this was too dangerous for us by bike. There is an indoor swimming pool, but even there there is a lot to do in the sanitary area. It is a pity that there are no discounted offers for guests. There is no snack bar.
