Nice sanitary, but the light goes out very quickly if no one is in the motion detector. As a result, it is suddenly dark in the shower. very uncomfortable because the motion... detector is outside. Completely faulty design.
Great for bike tours. Price/performance could be improved.

And to call this place a Mosel pitch is really outrageous. At best you would have had a view of... the ramp to the Moselle. And the cyclists who drove through every day were also totally annoying, especially as they were not guests of the campsite. Unfortunately, this time was different. The new operator obviously doesn't attach any importance to satisfied customers. When we arrived yesterday, we were allocated a pitch in the meadow, which was in a slight hollow. We politely... asked if we could get another pitch (about 3/4 of the pitches were empty). This was refused as all the pitches were supposedly taken. This morning 3/4 of the pitches were still empty...
Due to the massive rain in the night from yesterday to today, our pitch was about ankle-deep in water and we were standing up to our ankles in mud. The rainwater had also penetrated the tent at some point, so we had to break off our weekend trip this morning as the air mattresses, blankets and sleeping bags were also wet. Up to this point we would have said: "adventurous weekend". However, we were taught better on departure: we had to pay for all 4 days. The incredibly unfriendly lady at reception just said: "It's not my fault, a booking is a booking." We see it differently: if the pitch is no longer usable due to the weather, we find it surprising if you still have to pay for it.

The reception was great. The space was sufficient for our camper van. The view of the vineyards on the other bank of the Moselle was beautiful. We were lucky that the wine festival was taking place in the village.
The sanitary facilities... are still very new and were always clean. The food in the small restaurant on site was good. This year the campsite has new owners. We left at 7.45 in the morning and we opened the gate which is not even locked. The new owner Nadine actually yelled at me in a high voice at checkout for this! I have never experienced anything like this before... in my life! There was also another incident earlier with her, but not like this. Her husband seems nice and polite. I feel sorry for him. Lots of annoying dogs!Unfortunately not so nice anymore!Even if the facility is getting on in years, you can expect clean sanitary facilities. When the place is full, it is only cleaned once in the afternoon.
When we remarked that it was dirty, we were told: We don't get any staff!!! On other campsites there is also little staff, but there is a quick wipe... in the morning at noon and in the evening!
If you want to use your hose to fill up with water at the campsite you have a problem, the taps don't have an external thread - no adapter (and I have 5 sizes with me) will fit. A jug or canister is the order of the day.
You have to like dogs, no part of the pitch is reserved for dog owners. So the annoying barking is spread over the whole site.

After the previous tenant let the reins slip, as they say, everything has now turned around for the better.
The site has been brought back into shape
and it's really fun to spend your free time here again.

No investment has been made here for a long time. The sanitary facilities have grown historically, are narrow and angled, poorly lit and difficult to keep clean when the place is busy. But the cleaners make every effort. If you have to go to the toilet in... the dark, there is no way to switch on the light. A flashlight is recommended. The pitches are very small and there is no privacy. The outside sinks and the basins at the water taps are in urgent need of renewal.
