However, it is very full in the season, so a late arrival is not possible. As it is located directly on the A8, it is very noisy. How anyone can have a permanent pitch here is inexplicable to me. The noise level is comparable... to a highway parking lot, except that there is a shower facility and (clean) toilets. However, EUR 32 for 2 people plus EUR 1 per shower token is sporty in my opinion, as the pitch otherwise offers no comfort whatsoever. Perfect transit campsite by the lakeThis campsite is ideal for transit travelers with camper vans or caravans on their way south or north. There is plenty of space even for large caravans, even in the rain if the ground is firm. Electricity connection at the pitches, waste disposal at the wash house. The lake invites you to swim in summer... after a long drive and the restaurant serves schnitzel and chips or currywurst.
The central wash house is functional, clean and heated. If you don't have toilet paper in your caravan, you're ill-equipped anyway and will naturally be annoyed by the rule here that you have to bring it with you to use the toilet. If you know this, you won't have a problem.
If you expect more, you should drive on. If you are annoyed by the clear address of the campsite warden, you should drive on, if you don't want to pay for your overnight stay in full on arrival (including tokens for hot showers), you should drive on and look for something else.
The direct hearing distance to the highway is irritating but relatively muffled in the caravan and easy to bear. The many permanent campers also live with this fact.
WLAN is available on site but is subject to a charge.
If you arrive after 8 p.m., the transit pitches will be cramped.
All in all, professional campers won't break a sweat here if they are just passing through. If you spend the night at the highway service area, you will have a much worse time than at Seehamer See-Camping.

The advantage is the proximity to the highway and that you don't have to uncouple the caravan, so you can continue your journey immediately the next day. Divided into an area with permanent campers and the transit pitches, you stand, usually not even disconnected, next to many other campers like on a truck stop. Chairs behind the caravans and you're done, just like in a truck parking lot.
The sanitary building is... ok, although not a feel-good oasis.
The restaurant opposite was (permanently?) closed. You have to drive to the surrounding villages to eat out, there's not much on offer. Shopping in Miesbach.

The highway cannot be ignored - but it never disturbed us at night. The inn just across the road has our recommendation. Also the bathing area by the lake there.

On recommendation we stayed overnight at the CP Seehamer See. The reception was very friendly. The sanitary facilities were very clean. You can take a very nice walk there to relax. A road with little traffic separates the site from the lake. The check-in was friendly and uncomplicated. Overnight pitches for caravans directly behind the reception. The noise... from the highway is bearable and didn't bother us. The sanitary facilities are relatively clean. They are locked but can be opened with a combination lock, so not every swimmer from the lake can use the facilities. You get the toilet paper when you check in, which didn't bother us. However, towel paper should be available at the hand wash basin. Internet access has to be booked and paid for at reception, which is absolutely out of date. The restaurant is on the opposite side of the street and has a terrace overlooking the lake. The food was rather mediocre and very greasy. At an overnight price of €32 for a caravan, 2 adults and a child with electricity with these facilities, the price/performance ratio is not right for us, neither for the pitch nor for the restaurant. Moldy showers and charging extra money for them? Filthy toilets without toilet paper that has nothing to do with service or customer friendliness.
