After a friendly welcome, we parked our camper van with a view of the slope. Each pitch has either a wooden lounger or a table and bench.
It's only a short walk across the site to the piste and then you're ready to go.
The wash house was... always clean and warm. The bread rolls are extremely tasty and there is free Wi-Fi.
You can hear the road at night, but it didn't bother us.

MTB, road bike, touring bike, running, skiing, cross-country skiing and hiking are all possible here. Very clean and has been visually updated several times (toilets, showers, etc.) It has always been clean.NegatiivisetThe country road is nearby and audible, but the Sauerland sleeps early😀Total nature and sport!The campsite operator gives his all. In the morning he delivers bread rolls to order, at lunchtime he delivers gas and you can get small snacks from him or from the local butcher's vending machine. The catering works. We have always received a super friendly welcome and everything has always been done to our absolute satisfaction! (Earlier arrival, later departure, requests to stand together with friends....)
The campsite is right next to the lift,... offers a drying room for ski equipment and these are cleared TOP in winter.
There is a small but nice sauna and all this at very fair prices 👍 The sanitary facilities have been renovated and are and have always been in very good, clean condition.
The bread roll service is great and the rolls are delicious...
You can get to Winterberg (where it's quiet or party, just as you like) on foot or by bus.
The site is definitely one of our favorites.

Reasonably priced Tidy and cleanEverything you need is thereThis campsite is located on the outskirts of Winterberg and directly on the Kappe adventure mountain. You can do a lot there. The site was almost full when we were there, but the wash house was still reasonably clean. Everything looks very well maintained. The site doesn't offer a lot of bells and whistles,... but we didn't need them because there's plenty to do in and around Winterberg. I was there to go on long MTB tours. Designated tours start directly in front of the CP. A great range of MTB tours. The site itself is very basic, but ok. Friendly staff, clean sanitary facilities. The campsite is mainly occupied by permanent campers, the pitches for tourist campers are very small and are more like a motorhome pitch in winter (I wouldn't want to have to stand here in summer at this price level).... The sanitary facilities were centrally located, quite awkward for a family with only one key, as only one person had access at a time... (but you can certainly get a second one) In winter the sanitary facilities were perfectly adequate, but I wouldn't want to be in a hurry if it was fully occupied in summer.... Surprisingly, the place is little to almost not prepared for skiers. Although it is in a great location directly on the ski slope, it unfortunately has too few or no ski and boot racks. Only a few clothes drying racks. No drying facilities at all. Nevertheless, we liked it and might come back again. What I didn't like at all, however, was that when I disconnected the electricity, I noticed that the electricity meter showed 6 KW less than the amount on my bill (which is about €3). You are accompanied to the Szellplatz and it is even helped with pushing the caravan.also the staff or operator ( ?) was very friendly and helpful.the toilets and showers were very clean, as well as the whole place.showers cost 1 euro... extra. As I have read, some find it expensive. I am happy to pay 1 euro if I find clean showers. 2.90 euros for a pot of coffee or 2 euros for 0.2 liters of beer in Winterberg is also not too expensive and is paid. Bread rolls can be ordered at the reception and are quite good. Unfortunately, there is no store on the CP for newspapers and small items, but you can reach Winterberg in 2.3 km on foot or by car, where you can find everything. there are actually many good restaurants there, but we recommend the Kartoffelkiste or Volldampf. about the pitches: they are a bit small and gravel underground, so you can't get a normal peg for your awning into the ground. take special pegs with you. For example, 30 cm steel pegs with hooks, available from camping accessories. 90% permanent campers, but most of them are friendly, and they didn't bother us.Käännetty automaattisesti.

The sanitary facilities are dark and old, the tent meadow is stony and overcrowded, there were probably places designated for camping where you couldn't put a caravan with the best will in the world. The sanitary facilities were ok; unfortunately there were not enough showers when the site was full The leisure facilities around the site are great - bobsleigh run, climbing forest, bike arena, panorama bridge...... The campsite is dominated by permanent campers which didn't bother us. The sanitary facilities were perfectly fine.
