- Steffen L.July 2018PositiivisetBeautiful locationNegatiivisetNo longer existsLast season Om de NoordEverything was ok. The site no longer exists and unfortunately had to make way for a bungalow park which is due to be completed in 2019.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Astrid H.October 2016Positiiviset- well-kept site - clean sanitary facilities - central location - free wifiwell-kept campsite on the outskirts of De KoogWe received a friendly welcome on arrival and were provided with some information material. In October 2016, the campsite was no more than 25% occupied, so it was very quiet there. The pitches are spacious and generally well maintained. Only where there were always awning carpets, there was no grass... growing and it was sandy. The sanitary facilities were clean and heated. On "our" pitch, the free Wifi signal was of good quality, which especially pleased our son ;). Due to the location on the outskirts of de Koog, we think that supply options such as bakeries and supermarkets are easy to reach (by bike and also on foot), even if there is no supermarket/kiosk on the campsite itself. The beach can be reached via a paved path through the dunes (approx. 2km). We like the central location of the campsite on the island. However, we also noticed that there was a lot of dog waste on the footpaths and cycle paths around the campsite (but this has nothing to do with the quality of the campsite itself). If we go to Texel again, we will most likely choose a pitch on "De Shelter" or "Om de Noord" (the two campsites belong together and are roughly opposite each other on the same road).Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Alex S.July 2016PositiivisetQuiet despite lots of children.NegatiivisetDog waste bin all aroundPositively surprised!!!Place turned out to be bigger than expected. Pitches good, in our case with sanitary block - so I can't comment on the rest of the sanitary facilities. Good place, unfortunately without shade, but who stays at the caravan during the day when you can also enjoy the day on the beach? Top location, not... far from the beach or De Koog - both can be reached in a few minutes. The place seems very clean, even if a few have not yet recognized the purpose of the dog bags. It only gets worse or really bad when you leave the campsite, all around the paths, whether to the beach or to the city, are more like a big dog toilet! What a pity it used to be really nice on Texel! But it doesn't matter which place you choose on Texel, it's the same everywhere. The staff is very friendly, albeit with extreme calmness, (you should bring a little time with you, then you will be helped in the best possible way :-)) For your information, we have been going to the island every year for more than 12 years, at least once a year, but will probably not come back so soon! What a pity!Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Petra B.March 2016PositiivisetLarge pitches, clean, tidy, friendly staff, beautiful beach nearby. We liked it very much.We spent Easter at this campsite with 2 motorhomes and really enjoyed it. We came without a reservation and were given two nice, large pitches on grass with electricity, water and drainage. The sanitary facilities are clean and tidy. I was also able to wash and dry my laundry there. As it was still low... season, the ACSI Card was accepted. A short path leads through the dunes to the North Sea. The beach is beautiful and there are several cafés/restaurants directly above the beach. The small town invites you to stroll through small stores and many pubs of all nationalities leave nothing to be desired. We will be back again in the summer.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Rainer S.August 2015PositiivisetVery clean sanitary facilities, friendly staffNegatiivisetTexel doesn't have a useful scheduled bus service, except for one line to the harbor. This is very bad for campers and in the rain. Not very suitable for motorhomesIt is a 15 minute walk to the village. Too much during rain and storms, as the campsite does not offer any facilities. No restaurant, snack bar or store. Bread roll service only if ordered in advance and only from 9.00 am. It is even further to the beach, through the dunes, almost impossible to carry... luggage. Texel is only ok with a car. Cycling is also possible, but when it rains you are wet through to the town, and it rained 5 out of 10 days in August 2015. The promise of sun offered by the krim group when booking is probably just a publicity stunt.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Elso R.June 2015PositiivisetQuiet, clean, conveniently locatedNegatiivisetNoneAn all-round successful vacationWe stayed at the Om de Noord campsite from 25.06. to 04.07.2015 and were very satisfied. Very friendly staff, very clean campsite and a pitch with its own wash house, which was just great. It was also very quiet on the site during this time, although a lot of pitches were already occupied. The short... distance to the beach and the town of De Koog with its shops and restaurants was also ideal. We have already planned another vacation there next year. Thanks for everything.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Florian S.June 2015Positiiviset- Sanitary facilities - Location (also for dog owners)Beautiful campsite, great locationWe stayed at the campsite at the beginning of June. We can recommend the site with a clear conscience. The pitches offer plenty of space and all have their own water and electricity connections. The sanitary facilities are comfortable, are cleaned daily with a steam jet and are therefore usually very... clean. It's not the operator's fault that some campers can't behave. The best thing about the site is its location. The beach and the center of De Koog are within easy walking or cycling distance. The nature reserve De Muy and De Slufter can also be hiked from here. We will definitely be back!Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Dieter D.May 2015PositiivisetClean sanitary facilities, clean place ingesammt, accessibility and friendliness in the info center, very good.Recreational vacationIt is particularly quiet at the back of the pitch. The front is more suitable for families with children.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Anton P.May 2015PositiivisetCentrally located. Good shopping facilities and many restaurants nearby.NegatiivisetNONESuper placeWe have a "Comfort Plus" pitch with its own WC and shower. Large pitches with water and waste water connections. Good internet connection. Friendly reception and a folder with the necessary information is provided. Ideal location for hiking and cycling.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Marcus H.October 2014Positiivisetthe peace and quiet and relatively short distance to the beach (1KM)NegatiivisetThere is a lack of smaller plots with more privacyVery pleasant and quietSure, there's not much going on in October. Despite the NRW fall vacations, the site was hardly frequented, it was clean and quiet, electricity and water connections as well as waste water were optimal.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Michael G.September 2014PositiivisetQuiet, sufficiently large pitches, clean sanitary facilities, very reasonably priced thanks to ACSI.NegatiivisetNo shopping facilities,Rest and relaxationYou first have to register at the De Shelter campsite, which is 100 meters away. The site is located on the outskirts of De Koog, which is also within easy walking distance. The pitches are large enough to accommodate a car. The sanitary building is clean and well maintained, even in the evening it was... still clean. Absolutely quiet during the day and mostly at night. De Koog is about 1 km away, to the great beach it is 1.3 km, whereby it is very hilly through the dunes. But you can also drive to the parking lot by car, the way to the beach is then about 600 hilly meters. The site is well maintained, the grass is cut and the site makes a very well-kept impression. Cycling tours are very easy. Dog-friendly site, children should also feel comfortable there, there is a nice playground. Unfortunately, there is no store on the site where you can buy something. When we go to Texel, we only go to Om de Noord, which also accepts ASCI.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Christoph H.August 2014PositiivisetLocation, location, location...NegatiivisetA total of 9 showers for 100 seats. Cleanliness correspondingly moderate.Average campsite in a good locationThe location near the town and beach is really good. However, our pitch was not very spacious, hardly any room for the car and 2.50m to the neighbor. The site is sold out during the vacations and noisy (even at night), no reception, no night watch. There is only one sanitary block with 6 showers + 3... family showers for 100 pitches (the other 100 have private sanitary facilities). At 39,- per night not cheap either. Therefore the rating is satisfactory!Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Heike S.April 2014PositiivisetThe campsite offers very nice large pitches.NegatiivisetI think the place will be very busy in the high season. We were delighted with the location of the campsite, the proximity to the beach but also the proximity to the town. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. The ideal starting point for hikes, even with a dog.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Michael L.April 2013Always a great place to relax! The private sanitary units on the Comfort Plus pitches are pure luxury, but the other sanitary facilities are also always well maintained. Electricity is charged separately according to consumption, which is fair. The reception is on the neighboring pitch but always friendly and helpful! We always like to come back ....Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Marion F.September 2012We had the late summer offer with comfort-plus-pitch (own san.building on site) from 24.08.-14.10.1012 for 425 € :-)) Quickly in town and on the beach, great bike paths, an island to feel good!!!Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Joerg S.August 2012Great starting point: beach 10 minutes on foot, town with cafes and supermarket 5 minutes away, cycle path directly from the campsite. Walk through the dunes possible. Well-kept site. We would love to come back.Käännetty automaattisesti.

- Stephan L.April 2010First of all, I would like to put the prices into perspective. We stayed at the campsite in the low season in April with 2 adults/1 child, costing approx. 21 euros per night. As we stayed for two weeks, we were also reimbursed the ferry costs of 90 euros (!). That makes approx. 15 euros/night. Even in... the high season, I could make friends with this campsite despite the higher price: Extremely well-kept and clean, very nice staff, relatively spacious pitches and well thought-out little extras (free dishwasher (takes 3 min.), cable connection socket at the pitches, etc.). There is a brand new playground for small and older children. De Koog is just around the corner; we never ordered bread rolls at the campsite, but always cycled quickly to the town in the morning (less than 5 minutes by bike). Same distance to the beach. Otherwise, the central location means you can reach everything on the island within 12 km by bike. We were thrilled. However, the campsite is aimed more at families, couples and senior citizens, as it is quite "orderly". I would tend to advise against young campers who are more interested in action and partying, as it is too boring. They might not feel quite as comfortable here as we do. In terms of atmosphere, other places are certainly more suitable for this target group, e.g. the Kogerstrand campsite in De Koog.Käännetty automaattisesti.
