- Heidrun F.September 2018PositiivisetCleanliness, well-kept environment, nice staffNegatiivisetRailroad tracks nearbyBeautiful campsiteWe were given a very warm welcome here. Our motorhome is just under 8 meters long, but that wasn't a problem. We have been offered worse pitches in Italy in this respect. Sanitary was always clean, large pool invites you to relax. There are parasols on the beach and drinks and snacks are also available. Nice gesture on the occasion of my birthday by giving me a T-shirt. All in all, the Don Antonio campsite can be recommended without hesitation.Käännetty automaattisesti.Vastasi Don Antonio Camping Village November 19, 2018Dear Mrs. Heidrun,
What a pleasure to read your review!
Many campers express their satisfaction on departure and we are glad that you were also satisfied with your stay at Don Antonio.
Regarding the T-shirt, we are pleased to give our guests a small gift on the occasion of their birthday. It is much appreciated.
Thank you very much and see you next time! The sanitary facilities were clean but could have been torn down twenty years ago. Partly far to the beach, which we didn't find great either. There is a small well-stocked store, we tried the advertised food trucks once, worst pizza (made warm in the microwave).... The seats are very small with a few exceptions. Reception was friendly, otherwise I wonder how ADAC and ACSI get over four stars here, was there money flowing?Käännetty automaattisesti.Vastasi Don Antonio Camping Village November 19, 2018Dear Mr. Bernd,
We are very sorry that you did not like our campsite.
In any case, we take the liberty of saying that you spent little time with us; probably you could not discover all the services included in the price, such as the beautiful outdoor swimming pool with water slide and water mushroom....
As for the size of our pitches, in May there are usually several free pitches, small and large, all available to ACSI/ADAC members. On arrival, guests are always helped by our staff to choose a suitable pitch. It seems strange to us that you did not find a large pitch in the low season.
Our campsite has long been included in the ADAC and ACSI camping guides and every year we welcome many ACSI/ADAC members. Some have been coming for more than 10 years and spend a long stay here.
If Don Antonio Camping Village was so bad, these people would certainly enjoy their vacations elsewhere.
Regarding the sanitary facilities, we are aware that a renovation is necessary; we will realize it as soon as possible.
Our aim is to satisfy our customers so we hope that you will give us a second chance.
With kind regards. Rosalia - Responsible for the receptionKäännetty automaattisesti. - Ingo J.July 2017PositiivisetDirectly on the beach. Clean polo facilities. Cheaper prices than on the northern AdriaticNegatiivisetRailroad line in the backgroundFor the 2nd time on Don Antonio and next year againVery nicely laid out site with somewhat small pitches. However, this is not a problem as the cars are parked in a separate, enclosed parking lot next to the campsite. Direct beach access from the campsite, you only have to cross a cycle path. The railroad line is in the background. There is a small supermarket... on the neighboring campsite, which offers everything from vegetables and fruit to meat and sausages at moderate prices. On the campsite itself there are various food trucks that offer everything your heart desires, from grilled meat and fish to pizza and pasta. Giulianova can be reached by bike or inline skates via the separate cycle path in just a few minutes.Käännetty automaattisesti.Vastasi Don Antonio Camping Village October 12, 2017
Dear Mr. Janes,
Thank you very much for the good and detailed review!
We are pleased that you enjoyed the products and typical dishes of our country. Our Street Food Zone was planned for this.
You spent your holiday on a "Bambi" pitch, which is the smallest type. In any case, there are other larger... pitches on our campsite, which you have to book in advance.
The railroad line runs along the Adriatic coast, so all the campsites on the Adriatic are adjacent to the railroad line, unless they are far from the beach, but this is not our case.
The Don Antonio is right by the sea, as you said, and that can make up for the railroad line in the background.
Thank you for your years of loyalty and we look forward to seeing you again next year! Pool very clean (swimming caps compulsory). Cp out via a pedestrian or bicycle path already on the beach. House rules must be adhered to as staff patrols are made and offenders are reprimanded.Käännetty automaattisesti.Vastasi Don Antonio Camping Village December 6, 2016Dear Mr. Björn,
Thank you very much for your kind feedback and words of praise. We were very pleased to receive it.
As you wrote, there are pitches of various sizes on our campsite; some also have water connections and waste water disposal while others only offer electricity.
If you provide us with the... necessary information, we can recommend the most suitable pitch.
With regard to our house rules and our site rules, they are the means that allow us to ensure cleanliness, safety and tranquillity to our guests. On our campsite you will also find relaxation, entertainment and friendliness, namely you have given us the best mark, that is 5, for our friendliness.
We would like to thank you once again and hope to welcome you and your whole family again soon. Until then, best regards! RosaliaKäännetty automaattisesti. - Petr S.August 2016PositiivisetClean sea, accommodation and campsite, programs for children, quiet, suitable for families with children, helpful staff.NegatiivisetMobile homes and bungalows are not equipped with kitchenware. The best of Italydefinitely the best Italian camp. I visit it regularly since 2010 every year in August, sometimes for a week, sometimes for 2 weeks. The campsite is clean, the staff are always helpful and very nice. We have never had any problem. A great advantage is the pool, which is open even during siesta time between... 13:00 - 16:00. For children there are many events, nearby the large water park Tortoreto. There is an ever expanding range of refreshments, excellent service and the menu is in the Fresco Bar. High praise and looking forward to this year's holiday.Käännetty automaattisesti.Vastasi Don Antonio Camping Village October 12, 2017Dear Family,
thank you so much for such a good review and for describing almost all our services.
You have come since 2011 therefore know our village and the surroundings very well.
Concerning pots and dishes there are some news. The brand new mobile homes Pinocchio are provided with them anyway if you... like another lodging there is no problem, you can have pots and dishes for free because you come from abroad. Foreign people receive a basic kit and if they need something else they can ask for it at the reception desk, in accordance with the availability.
We look forward to seeing you again next year. Our warmest greetings!
Rosalia – Responsible for the reception. - Ferry F.June 2015PositiivisetGood price in the low season. Good location, well maintained. Friendly staff.NegatiivisetAnimation sometimes very loud and disturbing. Toilet sinks very far away.Well-kept campsite with a good price-performance ratioI would like to see more sitting toilets installed. In addition, the disposal of faeces in the column is very cumbersome and unhygienic - there are always leftovers from the previous person. A solution would be appropriate here.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Sarah N.July 2014PositiivisetNone, because there are much better campsites and vacation villages just a few hundred meters away!NegatiivisetVery poor value for money!A lot promised, nothing delivered!Based on the website and positive reviews, we decided to take a 2-week family vacation at Don Antonio. Unfortunately, our expectations were bitterly disappointed. The parties advertised under services did not take place at all, the free evening shuttle bus into town never ran! We were taken for fools... and sent to wait at a bus stop on 2 evenings! After waiting for over 35 minutes, we gave up and on the third day, when we asked again, we were told that the bus wasn't running and it was the mayor's fault! Hahaha! The great deckchairs to the mobile home are in the last 3 rows; 9-11!!!! Very boring atmosphere and no organization for older children. The "Forno Moderno" (bakery container), where you got something for breakfast every day, got more expensive every day with the same products. Pure rip-off! The driver and ticket seller of the rickety tourist train also warned us afterwards that if we had been German, he would have charged us twice as much! The capsules for the coffee machine in the mobile homes also cost over 90 cents each! Conclusion: NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Doris S.May 2014Positiivisetgreat location - close to the beach, sanitary facilities are getting on in years but very cleanNegatiivisetShower water takes ages to get reasonably warmbeautiful campsiteIn the early and late season with Acsi a super cheap campsite. However, everything on the beach is only clean and set up for tourists at the beginning to middle of June. At the end of May everything looks pretty desolate. But you can cycle really well and the sea is great and very close to the campsiteKäännetty automaattisesti.
- Roland M.May 2014PositiivisetBeautiful pitches and nice pool. Very friendly staffNegatiivisetOlder sanitary facilitiesNice campsite. Sanitary facilities a bit dated, but clean. Unfortunately no services in the low season (neither market, restaurant nor bread service). Some noise disturbance due to nearby railroad line. Price/performance with ACSI ok. Addendum: Bread roll service now available from May 18. Fast WIFI free of charge on all pitches until the end of May.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Matthias R.June 2013Super well-kept place, great service (daily transport service with the e-car to dispose of chemical toilets) great swimming pool, very courteous staff, we were there with the ASCI card for 16€. Great excursions to the Grand Sasso, you can buy fish directly from the boat in the harbor, it couldn't be fresher.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Sabine B.May 2013PositiivisetFriendly staff, clean sanitary facilities with hot water at all times,NegatiivisetLoud during the dayGreat place, with lots of action. The pitches are sufficient, but not for big ships. There is quite a lot of entertainment on offer, mostly around the pool area, but if you are looking for a quiet spot, you will also find it thanks to the helpful staff. You are only separated from the well-kept beach and sea by a cycle/footpath.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Helmut A.June 2012Nice place right by the sea. However, the noise pollution from the disco was considerable (during the week until about midnight, at the weekend even longer!Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Norbert H.August 2011Don Antonio is a typical ital. Campsite with flair. If you are looking for absolute peace and quiet, this is not the place for you (it is quiet from midnight and also at lunchtime.) The sanitary facilities are clean (as far as the guests allow) but no longer up to date. The pitches Gulliver large otherwise... scarce. Swimming pool central and well equipped (bathing caps). At the neighboring campsite restaurant self-service well - pizza ok. Great restaurants in the area, especially inland and in the neighboring village. The beach is great, directly at the campsite, gently sloping, clean, wide as you would wish. Animation only in Italian. Cycle path over 40km directly on the beach great, also perfectly flat for small children. Inland very nice for excursions, lots of culture. In the low season ASCI Card and ADAC Card, therefore very cheap high season too expensive. Will certainly be backKäännetty automaattisesti.
- Martina F.August 2011I highly recommend it, the price is great: 7 days/6 people (3 adults+3 children)+car + electricity=320€. Sanitary facilities clean, every day animation program for children and adults, free beach is smaller but paid service 100%. We were there in August 2011 and there was no problem at all with the Italians... having a holiday. We went without reservation and they accommodated us without any problems. We just had a patch without water, but our Italian neighbor offered us that he had a long hose and it was no problem to get water in the tank anytime.Käännetty automaattisesti.
