- Andreas S.May 2018Panoramic view from the pitchAround one third of the pitches are located directly on the shore with an unobstructed sea view. The vehicles are always parked on level gravel surfaces and the adjacent lawns are in good condition but very soft. Please do not ride your bikes on them. WLAN is free, but only available at reception. Everything else has already been said. It should also be noted that there is music playing in the wash house, which I always find very pleasant.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Gunter S.August 2016PositiivisetGood location, caring managementNegatiivisetactually noneLovingly managed placeWell located pitch on the water with a view over hills and ruins. Good accessibility, gray water disposal on the pitch, also chemical toilet emptying. Sanitary facilities old, but well maintained and clean. Large pitches, easily accessible even with large caravans and camper vans. Very friendly staff,... lovingly furnished music room where campers come together in the evenings to listen to Irish folk music. Electric piano, whistles and guitars are available. The fireplace is lit. Starting point for exploring the Ring of Kerry, fishing and boat trips. Yes, there is a discount on presentation of the book "Mit dem Wohnmobil nach Irland", even if it was just for fun...Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Iris P.June 2016Positiiviset- Location - friendliness - special atmosphereBest Camsite of Ireland, we'll enjoy the reunionOn our round trip this year, we ended up at our pre-selected Mannix Point campsite in the south-west of Ireland. To be honest, it has to be said that it doesn't have any special or better CP infrastructure than others, but it is unique in its flair and friendliness. Cahersiveen is a small town with 1... main road. The highlight is a church that was deconsecrated in the 1970s, where pizza and antipasti are made from regional products and served. A different kind of restaurant. 300 m from the campsite there is a well-stocked supermarket in the petrol station that caters for every need. The campsite itself has a great, quiet seaside location with mountain views. Great cloud-sun-light conditions. The site is very lovingly laid out, with lots of well-tended flowers and herbs. In the summer months there is the friendly Dubliner who spends his retirement days on the campsite and always looks after things, tends the flower beds and is never averse to a chat with holidaymakers. He is also the heart of the site, alongside Mortimer (the owner of the campsite) and his cat Whisky. In the kitchen there are 4 tables and 8 benches so that you can eat what you have cooked on site. Cut flowers are naturally scattered on the tables and throughout the kitchen. Behind the kitchen, next to a flower garden, there is a covered wooden breakfast nook (for approx. 12 people). The kitchen is fully equipped with 2 fridges and 1 freezer (very clean and well maintained), 2 gas stoves, pots, pans, crockery, sharp knives, cutlery and glasses. All you have to do is bring your ingredients, start cooking and enjoy. Of course, washing-up liquid and dishcloths are also provided. In addition to the kitchen, there is a laundry room and a cozy lounge, which is equipped with a fireplace and various instruments. The fireplace is lit every evening with peat. If you want and can, you can play instruments or just lounge around in a wing chair, read or small talk. Great. The sanitary facilities are simple (with shower tokens) and always clean. The ladies have a large hairdryer. The pitches are generously laid out on gravel. ASCI card holders get a really worthwhile discount. This is a campsite with a "family connection", because the campers of all nationalities are also friendlier and more open-minded than elsewhere, relaxed and communicative. The excursion options are varied (Knocknadobar, Valentia Island, Skellig Islands, Ring of Kerry, etc.) and this campsite is the perfect starting and finishing point for all these things. You can also get insider tips on request and casually during a conversation. If we are in Ireland again, we will definitely go back to this campsite.Käännetty automaattisesti.

Super clean and well thought out in every detail. Ideal for excursions (hiking, cycling, boating). Suitable for longer stays. Free Wifi at all pitches.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Kira K.July 2014PositiivisetRing of Kerry, Valentia Island and puffin tours around the corner! Beautiful and very nice people on the site.NegatiivisetHidden and therefore easy to overlook.Super location! We stayed at this campsite 5 years ago and have now returned on vacation. The people are super nice. There is a cozy living room that you can use, a large kitchen and everything is comfortably furnished. The site is right on the water, some of the pitches are only 5 meters from the shore. The view is... therefore a dream. The cat (Whisky) is affectionate and cuddly. There is a small covered wagon where you can sit down to eat, a barbecue, garden furniture under the canopy and a small courtyard behind the main building. Everything is beautifully planted with flowers. There is even a lookout point so that everyone can enjoy the view over the water. There is an old castle ruin nearby, unfortunately not accessible, although the traces in the grass say otherwise. There are also old round buildings that you can enter and experience directly. A great place from which to explore the Ring of Kerry. Valentia Island is nearby. Here you have to pay an entrance fee in some places, which is unusual for Ireland. But the descent to the lighthouse is intense and fun if you have the right car. :-) You can book puffin tours and dolphin tours nearby. There is also a museum about the Skellinge (two rocky islands off the coast). The town is colorful and quaint, but not as beautiful as others in Ireland. The entrance to the site is hidden, but it's worth looking for.Käännetty automaattisesti.
