"Clean campsite, beautifully situated - The campsite is really beautifully situated in the forest by the lake. There is a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Everything is very clean. The bathing area has a sandy beach, there is 1 bathing jetty and a jetty for boats. Paddle boats can be hired. The sanitary facilities are very clean and easy to reach. There are table tennis tables and a volleyball court, which are a little out of the way so as not to disturb the campers. The mix of permanent campers and day guests is balanced. As the campsite is run by an association, there are also occasional events for all campers, such as Easter bonfires or summer parties. The only thing that is really missing is a small shopping facility for everyday necessities. You always have to drive to Neustrelitz, for example. So you should have everything you need to eat and drink with you.

"Whitsun 2018 at Naturcamping Drewensee - As the weather seemed to be very nice in northern Germany at Whitsun, we made a spontaneous call to Naturcamping Drewensee and asked if we could come spontaneously. We were very kindly informed that they still had a space available for a small camper van. The outward journey on Friday afternoon was sheer horror. The highways were closed and so from Wittenberg we only drove on country roads and didn't arrive at the campsite until around 9 pm. No problem for the friendly site manager, who gave us a friendly welcome late in the evening and a nice quiet spot between the permanent campers. Whitsun 2018 was saved! The site itself is mainly set up for permanent campers. There are few tourist pitches and yet short-stay campers are very welcome. The sanitary facilities are very functional and are cleaned thoroughly. You get a key without a deposit and have to pay 10 euros if you lose it, which would probably be a very moderate penalty. My only small minus point for the pitch is the coin-operated shower for one euro. I don't want to go on about this in this review, because every campsite has its own idea, but personally I find coin-operated showers pretty unattractive. I would prefer to increase the daily price a little and offer free showers. But that's definitely my only small point of criticism. Overall, we felt very comfortable and at home on the campsite. You can go on very nice bike tours from the campsite and you can paddle perfectly across the Drewensee into the Havel waters. We can highly recommend the fish snack bar in Ahrensberg near the house bridge at the end of the lake! So delicious! Unfortunately we didn't make it to the Schwaanhavel near Wesenberg, Pentecost was too short for that, but maybe a reason to come back to Naturcamping Drewensee one day? Many thanks for a wonderful time!
