- Andreas S.June 2023PositiivisetRestNegatiiviset---Oasis of well-beingWe received a very friendly welcome in German and were shown around the site. There is free choice of pitch. The site with an estimated 50+ pitches is run by a Dutch couple and most of the guests also come from there. The site is located on a slope and is laid out in terraces. Spacious plots with lawn.... Many trees, especially ancient olive trees, characterize the impression. Well suited for campers. Beautiful view over the landscape. No permanent campers. There is a dog walk in the upper area.
Sustainability is important and we ask you to use water sparingly as it is a scarce resource. Free WLAN is available free of charge. Dinner can be pre-booked as well as bread/rolls for the next day. Every Friday at 8:45 a fruit and vegetable vendor comes to the campsite and offers his goods.
The nearby small town of Melo has been spared from tourism and is well worth a visit.
We felt very much at home here.Käännetty automaattisesti. - Arta Georg D.April 2017Positiiviset- Nice place - Good management, friendly and accommodating - Beautiful surroundings (mountains and villages)Nice place with good facilities and nice, friendly operatorsWe stayed at the campsite in mid-April 2017. According to the season, the occupancy rate was not high. We can only confirm the reviews from previous years - "everything has remained the same". In this case, that is a very positive thing. You should definitely take advantage of the communal dinners. They are entertaining and you eat really well. It also makes sense to take part in the guided hikes on offer.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- René R.June 2015Positiiviset- Very good sanitary facilities - great pitches with a view - very committed site ownersNegatiiviset- nothing seriousExcellently managed courseThe reception on arrival was already great: the site owners (a Dutch family) ask about your preferences and show you the right pitches as you walk around the site. The site is terraced with a wide view over a valley. Part of the way is up a steep gravel path. If necessary, the site owner provides towing... assistance for caravans. The spacious pitches are surrounded by greenery on grass, some of which are quite sloping. The sanitary facilities are in very good condition and are cleaned thoroughly on a regular basis. The showers are very spacious with a separate anteroom. Only the washing facilities are too cramped and not enough. There are proper washing machines with extra drying space for hanging laundry. There is poor WLAN on the pitch, but free of charge. There is also a nice swimming pool with a small bar. Detailed tour suggestions are available on booking. Bread rolls are available to order. In general, the owners were very active, there are local products (e.g. their own olive oil), guided hikes and the owner cooked 3 times a week (registration required). There are no permanent campers or rental properties on the site, there is still a pure camping atmosphere here, which is unfortunately very rare to find.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Patrick S.August 2013The site is located right next to the small town of Melo on the outskirts of the city. The site is laid out in terraces and consists of spacious plots that are not separated by buildings. The beautiful main building is located below the pitches. Here you will find the reception and the bar, where you... can buy snacks as well as drinks. Dinner menus and breakfast can also be booked. Bread rolls and bread can also be purchased here if ordered in advance before 6 pm. Behind the main building are the toilets, showers and the wash-up area. Everything is very spacious and clean, with the visitors also actively helping, which you notice as soon as you arrive. Very pleasant. A highlight of the campsite is of course the pool, which invites you to cool off after a hike, for example. The terrace in front also invites you to linger. Here you can enjoy a delicious Galao or a cold drink in the shade under the kiwi plants. Of course, the place is predestined for hikes or mountain bike tours in the Sierra. The small tour guide provided by the campsite on arrival is also great. But the towns in the surrounding area also offer plenty of sights and are well worth a visit. Last but not least, a big compliment to the managers, who are super friendly and helpful and are really there for their guests. To sum up, for the €21 charged for a pitch with 2 people and electricity, you really do get a very nice and quiet pitch here. Here you can relax, explore the cities or nature, but also spend your time actively and sportily. A clear recommendation! Top place!Käännetty automaattisesti.

- Ingo S.August 2011Can fully confirm the positive assessment of jan-67. The circular tour through the Serra by car or camper van is also highly recommended and the site provides a small map. You should plan a whole day for this, but then it's a beautiful route through the Serra!!!Käännetty automaattisesti.
