- Uschi S.June 2023PositiivisetQuiet location in the forest Bathing lake with sandy beach and beach bar Uncomplicated online booking Barrier with license plate recognition Good range of restaurants Supermarket with fresh bread rolls every dayNegatiivisetNoneBeautiful campsite by the lakeThe site is located just over the German border, 8 km from Venlo.
We liked the quiet location in the forest.
Most of the pitches are under trees. This means there is plenty of shade in summer, but no satellite reception.
It is possible to book online and choose a pitch (+35€).
Our pitch had water and... electricity and was level.
We could decide whether we wanted to book a dog area or a dog-free area.
There are 2 sanitary buildings spread across the site.
Nobody has to go hungry either...bistro, beach bar, restaurant and well-stocked supermarket with fresh bread rolls.
The lake with its sandy beach offers plenty of space for relaxing, swimming and SUP'ing.
The swimming pool is more fun for families with small children.
The sanitary building was clean at all times.
We will definitely be back again ☺️Käännetty automaattisesti. - Oliver R.March 2023PositiivisetThe lakeNegatiivisetShe didn't notice anyNice place to relaxThe campsite is beautifully laid out.
The lake is perfect for swimming or SUPing in warm weather. The site is in very good condition. The staff are always very friendly and take excellent care of the site. There is an indoor playground, supermarket, beach bar and
indoor pool with whirlpool is available.Käännetty automaattisesti. - Horst C.August 2022PositiivisetLocation, bathing lake, nice restaurantsNegatiivisetSanitary facilities are absolutely outdated, not particularly clean and urgently need to be renovated.Sanitary facilities very outdated and in need of renovationWe were here regularly at Whitsun until 2001 and now in 2022 for the first time again. We were told on the phone that both sanitary blocks had been renovated. We cannot confirm this. Some of the tiles are missing, the water pressure is insufficient and everything is outdated. It is also far from clean.Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Marcus K.May 2020Positiiviset+ Reopened in 2019 with new owners + Quiet location + Great lake with beach area + Delicious pizza + Much already modernizedNegatiiviset- Supermarket with very small offer - Corona-related washing containers not clean - Restaurant overwhelmed with orders - A garbage problem over Pentecost? - Lots of oak trees and oak processionary moths directly behind our caravan!Space with potential, but currently still weak pointsWe stayed at Camping BreeBronne with our caravan over Whitsun 2020.
The site was only half full over Whitsun and the wash houses were closed due to corona, but shower and toilet containers had been brought to the site, which could be rented.
The site was reopened by new owners in 2019 and you can see... some modernizations on the site.
The site itself is located in the forest and is surrounded by fields and has a great lake with its own sandy beach.
The washing facilities were unfortunately closed due to Corona, but you could rent a private sanitary facility in a toilet/shower container for 10 euros per night. Unfortunately, these were not really clean and were also very open, so that leaves etc. flew in there again due to the wind.
We ordered pizza and fries on Saturday evening and despite ordering in advance and the pick-up time, it unfortunately still took 30 minutes on site :-(
But at least the pizza was delicious...
The newly built supermarket unfortunately only had a very small range of goods and there weren't even any bread rolls (Weckchen) and I didn't even get any bread rolls or baguettes :-(
Unfortunately, there are almost only oak trees on the site and we had a whole row of oak trees behind our caravan and unfortunately had to remove oak processionary caterpillars from our awning, table and chairs every day. Unfortunately, the hairs of the caterpillars are very dangerous and so we had to keep the roof hatches on the caravan closed and had to be extremely careful and also explain to our children that they must not touch the caterpillars. Fortunately, we didn't have any skin irritations, but this can easily happen when caterpillar hair flies around.
On Whit Monday, the site unfortunately had a "garbage problem", as the two large garbage containers near the beach were full and everyone simply put their garbage bags next to them, which attracted animals. The next day at 10.30 a.m. the garbage had unfortunately still not been cleared away.Käännetty automaattisesti.
