Branka B.June 2024PositiivisetLocation on the BoddenNegatiivisetUnclear parceling - everyone stands as he wants, we don't pay attention to distances (fire protection) at all; you can only get to the power connection with a seminar groundskeeper and then you need 100m of cable, without this being pointed out when booking; completely unclear division of the areas; old GDR slab paths and old buildings rotting away.DisappointedObviously a lot has happened in recent years if you read the comments from 2021/2022 - there were no more recent ones to be found here. There is at least a second modern and clean sanitary building, but the sanitary containers in the area of the surf school are an imposition and look as if they were... set up decades ago as a temporary solution and then forgotten. There is no lighting on and around the camping meadow, so always take a flashlight with you if you have to go out at night. Unfortunately, there is no parcelling out, so that everyone can stand as they please, without regard for other campers and distances, which should be quite important, especially for a campsite in the forest. However, no one really checks, but the groundsman comes to unlock the electricity box - which delays departure if you want to leave early. But there simply don't seem to be enough connections - no wonder if you don't know who is standing where.
There is now supposed to be Wi-Fi, but this cannot be guaranteed across the board and also costs extra (€4/day for 2 devices if I remember correctly), which in this day and age is cheeky and extortionate.
Oh yes, unknowingly I went to the bakery in the morning and just wanted a coffee, because I hadn't ordered bread rolls, but the completely chilled employee said he was about to finish work and therefore the machine was already off, but it was still 7 minutes until closing time, but apparently they don't need to be customer-friendly. I was hugely disappointed and don't give second chances in such cases because I think it's simply cheeky and impertinent to send the customer away so far ahead of time - very few people can afford that and it shows once again that Germany is still a service desert.

They would be cleaner for longer if guests were asked to change their shoes in the anteroom of the shower and washrooms. I have experienced this at other campsites in Europe and was impressed by the effect and effectiveness in keeping them clean.
The... opening hours and closing days of the sandwich store on the site caused me some confusion. First open in the morning and evening, then closed, then only open in the morning. Unfortunately, however, the caravans and cars often take up a lot of space. Cars are often positioned in such a way that as much space as possible is created. Caravans, including cars, take up much more space than motorhomes anyway.... As a result, there is naturally much less space for guests.
This should also be taken into account when setting prices. Designated parking spaces could possibly be allocated.
The situation at the barriers at the entrance is unfortunately a disaster. On a campsite where the bicycle is the means of transportation of choice, it should be possible to build sensible paths past the barriers. Instead, however, a sign is erected with the words, "Cyclists dismount - risk of accident". The campsite is not quite cheap but we appreciate the concept that everyone can choose their own pitch and there are no predefined pitches. This results in a very natural and colorful look, which corresponds to our attitude towards camping and reminds us of our favorite places... in France on the Atlantic. We also really appreciate the shade and the proximity to the Bodden.
What we miss: the children's entertainment was apparently not resumed after Corona (rising prices with a more limited offer. Unfortunately, Regenbogen is no exception these days). The barrier closing time and thus midday silence of car noise on the site between 12&15h.
Otherwise completely satisfied. The cleaning of the sanitary facilities was also much better this year than in previous years.

The temporary pitch we had for sleeping had to be cleared, but we knew that and the nice groundsman helped us with everything.
Ok, the bread rolls are very expensive, you can get them at Edeka in Born for a lot less money.... You don't have to buy them.
There was plenty of space for the caravan and it was nice and shady in the heat.
Beautiful, new sanitary blocks, nice blue path lighting, nice reception.
All in all, we can say: we'll be back :-)
