Money easily made!Very expensive and poorly maintainedThe negative points are all there: excessive prices, no maintenance, no conviviality...Käännetty automaattisesti.
- Dina C.April 2022PositiivisetThe structure is good and has everything to be a good park, with many spaces, a good kitchen, etc.NegatiivisetNot having someone responsible in the park every day for a few hours to control the cleaning and try to keep everything in proper conditions, because people pay and it's not cheap, they deserve better treatment.Worst campsite in IcelandI stayed here 4 nights last April.
As it was the most expensive park of all and in the capital, we thought it would be a good park, but on the contrary it was the worst campsite in all of Iceland.
The website says that it is cheaper for those who book online, but there is no other alternative, as there... is no one responsible in the park. Even if someone wants to complain about something, they will have to do it via email or by phone and there are issues that are not resolved that way.
Despite all the security, with codes provided via email after paying, we found a drunk homeless man, who entered the kitchen because someone opened the door and in addition to sleeping there, he left everything dirty, in true chaos.
The cleaning was done by two ladies, who cleaned everything in less than an hour and obviously nothing was very clean, because immediately afterwards I went to the shower and under the benches there were piles of garbage and even underwear that had fallen there.
Maintenance also has not been done for a long time, because there were showers and toilets that didn't work, clogged drains that cause flooding of water in the bathroom, a sign in the laundry room saying that the machines were broken.
Unfortunately, the image they leave is that they only look at tourists as a source of money, instead of worrying about their well being. They have a lot to learn from the Grindavik campsite, for me the best park in Iceland.Käännetty automaattisesti. - H. Good accommodation for tent campers. However, also the most expensive CP on my trip to Iceland.Käännetty automaattisesti.

- Jürg B.July 2013Typical city campsite with good infrastructure, friendly, helpful staff, reception in the HS open 24 hours, therefore also busy at night, but peace and quiet is ensured. Sanit. Facilities more or less clean depending on time of day. Swimming pool approx. 3 min. walk away. Ideally situated for sightseeing... Reykavik and the surrounding area. Bus stop at the campsite, approx. 15 min. to the center, as there are many small stores in the pedestrian zone. Be sure to visit the "glass harp" in the harbor area, the conference and concert hall and the Hallgrimmskirche with its 73 m tower, beautifully illuminated in the evening.Käännetty automaattisesti.
