"Nice place near San Gimignanp - Lots of trees on the campsite. Located right next to San Gimignano station, so it can get noisy. For larger motorhomes there are fenced and gated pitches in front of the campsite, but some without electricity or water. Sanitary facilities not clean. No bread rolls, only very expensive croissants.

"Beautiful place to visit San Gimignano - If you want to visit the town of San Gimignano, you can't miss this site. The reception is very friendly and the sanitary facilities are a bit outdated, but very clean. Breakfast can be ordered in advance at the counter in the restaurant. The restaurant with a great view is highly recommended, but it should be pointed out to out-of-town guests that you should not talk loudly in front of the fence of the campsite in the middle of the night, leaving engines running (especially not with motorcycles). Those who are there on Sunday can look forward to loud music from the neighboring sports grounds. AC/DC fans will get their money's worth. Unfortunately, the stadium announcer kept interrupting the music. The swimming pool was unfortunately closed due to the coronavirus.

"Great place - The location close to the city and its accessibility by bus (departure directly in front of the campsite gate (75 cents one way)) has already been written about several times. The location itself is also very nice, the way it is laid out. Some of the pitches are under trees or on terraces with no shade. There are also some simple and inexpensive motorhome pitches (use the small footpath immediately to the left behind the entrance gate and then walk up and along the embankment to the left in front of pitch 75). There was always something going on on the adjacent sports field and the Italian soccer mentality was always audible. There is a public outdoor pool about 200 meters away, which can be used free of charge with the campsite tickets. But now I have to mention the sanitary facilities. Not only are they as good as new and very clean, but each toilet room has its own washbasin with mirror and most even have a bidet! Sensational! Okay, but the showers don't have a shelf or you have to use the upper edge of the wall. All in all, a great place, but you have to arrive in good time. There are not many pitches and now in the low season everything was occupied from 3 pm at the latest, late arrivals were turned away.

Camping Boschetto di Piemma is just 2 km far from the town of San Gimignano, which can be reached traveling along a road which offers great panoramic views. From the campsite, nested in a hundred-year-old holm oak’s wood, surrounded by …olive groves and vineyards, you will enjoy a splendid view of the town of towers. The campsite has been restored and extended, protecting the surrounding landscape while aiming to improve its quality and comforts. The campsite has big spaces for tents (some of which with private car park), campers, bungalows and mobilehomes. Every spot is supplied with electricity. All around the campsite you can find lots of “water point” taps. Some spots are reserved for “no limits” campers that can get to their place also before and after opening hours. A magnetic entrance card will be given to every guests. The brand new toilets have hot water showers and self-cleaning w.c. There’s also a well equipped laundry. Inside the campsite you can find card phones, wifi, satellite tv and a mini-market with traditional supplies. The Restaurant and Pizzeria Selva delle Torri offers, either in the big intern spaces or in his panoramic terrace, the most tasty dishes of Tuscan and Italian traditional cook. You can also enjoy our rich breakfasts in our brand new bar. The campsite, which is well linked to San Gimignano by public transport. If time is not your main worry, you can walk to the centre of the town in about 20mins along a wide and well lit panoramic road. The campsite is located in a tourist public park which provides recreational facilities. This enable you to combine “campsite philosophy” with a wide range of sports activities: walk along natural paths, trekking, swimming, soccer and tennis (equipment hire service and courses are available). Campsite events include: local products and locale wine tasting, musical nights, as well as guided visits to the town and trips to discover the surrounding countryside. Tickets for museums and cultural events can be booked at the reception.
