Unfortunately, this pearl of space is not treated as it deserves.
A place with a dream location, if it weren't for....
Well, we were there in October, the end of the season. Nevertheless, a lot could be put together.
I would like to mention that we were there in 10.2021 and only now the evaluation follows. (will not happen again!)

When registering, it was quickly clear - NO bread rolls are bought here. In the reception... (if you can call it that) was also the mini store. There was so much smoking going on that we could have sworn the open sandwiches (and everything else too, of course) were smoked.

The sanitary facilities were so catastrophic. Dirty, spiders and their webs everywhere. No wonder, because these buildings were somehow only sporadically closed, the showers with unhygienic and ugly curtains, a wooden chair to change in... Phew, that wasn't easy. Disposing of the toilet was not so easy, as we had to load the cassette into the car (a long way) and then empty it in a toilet.

We were able to hire a rowing boat. It wasn't really in good condition, but it was more than cheap.
The staff were "North German" nice (yes, they were really nice!), but unfortunately the campsite was not in good condition. Maybe it will be better now in 2023!

Soaked floors in heavy rain, sanitary facilities for men are getting on in years but clean.
If you are not demanding, this campsite is a peaceful and idyllic place.
perfect campsite for anyone who can fit into the community. Thank you

Nice people. Good tent pitch. Bread rolls. Beer. A yellow plastic sofa and a blue sheep in front of the registration desk...

No bench for Zelter.
In good hands.
Well suited for campers with bikes and luggage if you want to stay there for one or two nights. The operators are very friendly. The sanitary facilities are a bit dated, but clean and adequate. You can buy essentials such as beer and bread rolls. You can also borrow books: I think that's good in bad... weather. The tent meadow (as on almost all campsites) lacks facilities for tent vacationers: a bench where you can sit down and maybe even a table... But all in all, we liked it very much and would stay there again if our path takes us there.

Very friendly hosts, very easy to find and reach, you can get everything you want from the hosts (groceries, bread rolls, etc.).

Beautiful landscape with many cycle paths and quiet location.
Beautiful place by the lake
We were at the campsite from July 4 to 6. It is located directly on the Bistensee. The pitches in the first row are occupied by permanent campers. The pitches for tourist campers are unparcelled and sufficiently large. There are 2 wash houses, although only the front one has washing-up facilities. Drinking... water must also be fetched there. Unfortunately we had a power cut due to cable damage, but the operators did everything possible at the weekend to fix it

The site is located on the southern shore of Bistensee. Touring pitches are mostly in the shade of the forest. Nice if it is warm. The shower rooms are old. But clean. Good service. Inexpensive. We have been coming there for several years. Good cycling opportunities along the Kiel Canal (NOK).
