We currently (May 2021) have no chance of a legal visit due to Corona. We have waited until today (18.5.21) to see if it can work out.

Due to Corona, Friesland in Holland became a risk area, so we were unable to travel ...
Our request to leave the money there and rebook the vacation for next year... was dismissed with the smug remark: "If the German government were to make Friesland a no-go area, they would be sorry, we are cordially invited ... "

We always enjoy it because we do water sports. Our small children also have fun on the beach and in the playgrounds. In my opinion, the sanitary facilities are undersized, especially in the high season (especially when camping is also allowed at the front of the beach). Unfortunately, dogs are once again not allowed on the beach. The pitches are very small. The space we were first allocated for our camper van was perhaps sufficient for a VW T5 or so. Anything larger would not fit there. The view of the site is getting on in years... and doesn't look particularly well looked after. When we were here, there was an endless plague of mosquitoes. I have never seen so many. I have no idea whether this is always the case here at this time of year, but when we asked, the response was rather relaxed. Somehow this is not our place. There is a wide range of leisure activities, and kite surfers dominate the site when conditions are favorable. Cleanliness and service are excellent. Many mobile homes and bungalows, but many seem to be permanently... rented. The sanitary facilities meet the requirements without standing out. There are no sockets for razors etc. at the individual washbasins. The pricing is perhaps the only shortcoming. The pitch is already quite expensive, and there are additional costs for showers and waste disposal. The small supermarket is very well stocked and you can get practically everything you need. But if you are prepared to accept the costs, you can have a great time here. Highly recommended!Automatski prevedeno.

Prohibited by the municipality! Pitches are large. Some of the sanitary buildings are getting on in years. You have to pay extra for flushing water. The best way to explore the surrounding area is by bike. Workum and the other small towns are really worth seeing. Would love to come back againAutomatski prevedeno.

Very loud until 2:00 a.m. during festivals on the beach. Only conditionally suitable for dogs.Close to the IjsselmeerVery nice location, but about 2km from the village. This is no problem by bike. Good supply and delicious bread rolls from the supermarket on site. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Thanks to the online registration and advance payment, you can drive to your pitch without further registration... thanks to video recognition. The pitches are divided into groups of 4 or 6 (dog area) and are not excessively large. The beach is very spacious and slopes gently into the water, making it ideal for a vacation with small children in summer. When it's windy, kitesurfers are allowed here all year round. Be careful with the lines on the beach. There are large meadows... behind the small dunes. Everything is generously laid out here anyway, just like on the C pitch. Very quiet here. There are plenty of parking spaces for cars. The pitches are generously laid out, surrounded by tall trees and bushes. Take a long hose with you for the water supply! Sanitary facilities (in the "dog area") are a bit dated, but offer everything and are clean. Beautiful footpaths, also for dogs. Everything is well maintained, lawns are cut regularly. The store has everything you need. Open daily 8-18h. Fresh self-service bread counter. We'll be going back next October.Automatski prevedeno.

Rather unsuitable for a "normal" beach vacation, unless you do other things such as cycling. We were with a dog and were only allowed to stay on the pitches designated for dogs. We felt a little discriminated against with a dog, as there were no-dog signs everywhere... on the other large part of the campsite. The campsite should rather decide whether it wants dogs or not. The nearby marina is very nice. We used the sanitary building at the beginning of the campsite. Reason: dog owners are discriminated against. Although we had registered by phone and told them that we had a dog, there was no room for us. They wanted to put us in front of the campsite on the campsite's soccer pitch. It doesn't get any worse than... that. The lady at reception was also very unfriendly. When a colleague said that there were also places available in the campsite, this information was ignored. We then drove on, even though we were registered with two motorhomes. This is incomprehensible to me. Perhaps the site should be closed to dogs straight away and potential guests should not be allowed to arrive and then park on the soccer pitch. We will certainly never go there again and will spread this behavior on the pitch far and wide. Tip to the operator: Even if we are dog owners. We camped with 5 people. Price performance simply top. No overpriced supermarket, fair prices and a large selection. The beach is beautiful, the water relatively clean. Unfortunately totally overcrowded with kiters and surfers. Dangerous for children playing in the water. The sanitary facilities are tidy and are cleaned 3 times a day. Unfortunately, dog owners feel somewhat discriminated against here, as there are only a few places available and you are not allowed to enter the rest of the site - let alone the beach - even with a dog on a leash! You can't even go... on the beach when it's windy and at weekends because it's teeming with kiters. The restaurant on the site is not to be recommended as it is expensive and not very good quality. The sanitary facilities are excellent, but the showers etc. can only be used with a credit card. Unfortunately, you can't set the water temperature yourself.Automatski prevedeno.
