Magnificent view of the lake and the mountains behind it. Beautiful hiking tours possible directly from the campsite. Very friendly and hard-working cleaning staff. Everything works and always clean thanks to the hard-working cleaning staff, but no longer up to date'.Great and quiet locationWe had a very nice vacation at this campsite. We were lucky enough to get a pitch right by the lake. The campsite is kept very simple and there's no fuss here.
The location of the campsite is great. You can go hiking here or just relax by the lake.
Excursions to Bad Tölz, Murnau and Mittenwald are well... worthwhile. A visit to the hydroelectric power station is also a must.
The family that runs the hotel makes every effort to please its guests. The menu is fairly straightforward, but what is on offer is fresh and tastes really delicious. You are used to more from larger campsites. However, I fully understand the lunch break from 12:00 to 14:00 and the early closing of the restaurant at 20:00. It starts at 8 a.m. and when the restaurant closes at 8 p.m., the operators are far from finished. In any case, we felt very comfortable on the pitch and would like to thank the whole team. Friendly owners, camping restaurant to be recommended, food and drink at fair prices, only hotspot there. Leisure activities on foot or by bike nearby, Kochel a little further away, no problem... by bike. There is also the nearest train station for excursions without a car and shopping facilities. Place has otherwise not so much to offer, Therme is great in bad weather. Dogs are not allowed to run free and nowhere to swim in the lake, required by law. Sanitary facilities unfortunately a bit outdated and too small, cleanliness by users often not available. Cleaned, perhaps too rarely? Nevertheless, a place to be recommended. Just behave yourselves, then everyone will be friendly!Feel-good place - 1st class without frillsWe have been coming there regularly since 2013 and have always received a very friendly and warm welcome. Unfortunately, we notice time and again that some guests don't know how to behave on a campsite. These people should use their brains before giving bad reviews. We are already looking forward to our next vacation at this campsite!

Apparently the owners are overworked. We realized this in the evening when we wanted to come back for dinner. When we saw... the food and got to know the unfriendly service, we left this impossible place and got the tip from other campers to go to the nearby Renken campsite for dinner, where there was a great surprise. The behavior of the tenants is very bad. Often unfriendly and grumpy. Order brought incorrectly and then claimed to have ordered incorrectly. But 6 witnesses heard the correct order. The restaurant is better than ever and on Saturdays there's pork knuckle and chicken from the grill. The sanitary facilities have been renovated and renewed and the number of caravans available for hire has been increased. Unfortunately, the facilities and the condition were in need of improvement, but that was okay with a reduction in the rent. The site is clean and the groundsman is really very nice and helpful. Sanitary facilities always clean and if the users all knew what the squeegees in the showers... were for, it would be even better, toilets also always clean because of the flushing.
