Some arrived before the start of the sacrosanct lunch break (11.30-14.00), others after. He refused to accept registration of the group by those who arrived first. When the rest arrived ten minutes after the start... of the lunch break, he forbade them to set up their tents. We lost a day's vacation as a result. Never again. The campsite warden was keen to emphasize that he was not a donkey. But donkeys aren't stupid. Just stubborn.Automatski prevedeno.

And: you can shower just like at home. Without coins with tap on - water on, tap off water off!
And now that dog ownership in Germany feels... like it has doubled and owners (have to) move from hotel to campsite, this is a wonderful place for (small) children. (without dogs!)

There are about 10 pure motorhome pitches with asphalted pitches. If these are occupied, then you can also go onto the "meadow" to the caravans and tents. No reservations are
No reservations are made in advance. When I asked by phone,... I was told that there was enough space, which was indeed the case.
The food on the campsite is not the best, but there is a great bakery in the village for baguettes and croissants, which is also open on Sunday mornings and can be reached by bike in 2-3 minutes.
In the neighboring village (about 1 km from the campsite) there is also a Super U with a good fish counter and very friendly staff.
It's easy to explore the area by bike with the children. We took the free ferry across and "cycled" through the Rhine meadows on the German side of the Rhine, a kind of primeval forest in Baden.
However, the kids were most excited about the bathing lake. It provides a positive atmosphere from morning to night.
There is even a small swimming pool, but it can only be used with a swimming cap.
The slides can only be used with swimming trunks, but I am allowed to wear the swimming shorts we usually wear.
All in all, really recommended... and if you stick to the rules, you won't be reprimanded by the sometimes rude and unfriendly groundsman (according to various Google reviews) and you'll have a great time.Automatski prevedeno. - Rosemarie S.September 2019Dobre straneIdyllNegativne straneWater points distributed around the square would be nice.Heavenly peace in beautiful early fallIn front of us, the meadow and the bathing lake, deserted. Next to us, three motorhomes and the chicken enclosure: idyllic and quiet in the off-season. It may be different when the site is full. It's a bit of a walk to the sanitary facilities, but they are cleaned with a detergent that leaves a very... pleasant scent in the rooms. Cycle tours to Strasbourg along the canal or into the Rhine jungle on the German side (alluvial forests near Rheinhausen - beautiful). The small towns in the area are probably not spectacular, but really pretty.Automatski prevedeno.

On-site restaurant very tasty and very reasonably priced. ~1km to the shops - can be easily done on foot. Bicycle, quad rental and much more. Unfortunately, the toilet paper ran out regularly, so it led to long queues... at the toilets. Generally clean and well maintained - not always hot water. If you don't drive in fast enough, the barrier closes again. There should actually be a presence loop. I don't know of any barriers that only work with a light barrier. A fairly small site on a farm, run by a family. Everything is kept very clean and well-maintained, even the old, very outdated little wash house. Very nice large pitches, but sometimes hardly any shade... as the trees are still very small. The lake is just great, super water slides and it goes very shallow into the water. Pleasantly inexpensive.Negativne straneSpecial features (no disadvantages): Swimming cap compulsory in the swimming pool, complete ban on dogs on the campsite, no reservationRelaxed family campsite in a dream location RECOMMENDED!Friendly welcome in French or even by a German-speaking member of the owner's family and a really spacious pitch, e.g. on the meadow above the bathing lake and restaurant "always between four trees" (partly already shady, partly still small) to choose for yourself. Wonderful! Own bathing lake with marked... non-swimmer area, water slide facility. In the evening, simple, very tasty dishes on the restaurant terrace. Friday evenings in high season with longer music and special meals. Baguette service in the morning, further shopping facilities outside the campsite (approx. 1km). Rather basic sanitary facilities at the meadow by the lake, which are carefully kept clean. Relaxed, very child-friendly atmosphere, really quiet after dark. Only the chime of the church in Rhinau can be heard. Other parts of the site, also with paved motorhome pitches, better-equipped sanitary buildings and a well-kept swimming pool (swimming cap compulsory). The local Rhine car ferry (free of charge) takes you less than 10 km to the "Europapark" in Rust. Ideal starting point for excursions to the Black Forest and Alsace. Kinzigtal, Voigtbauernhof in Gutach/ Schwarzwaldbahntal; Colmar, the Albert-Schweitzer towns of Kaysersberg and Günsbach, Haut-Koenigsbourg ... We will be back!Automatski prevedeno.

Reservations are not possible, despite vacations and great weather there were still plenty of pitches to choose from. We chose one right by the lake and the slides. The pitches are spacious and surrounded by fruit trees.... Products from the farm can be bought at the information desk. Sometimes the farmer himself comes and offers apple juice for bottling. We really liked that. What's not so great is that the sanitary buildings are quite old and not so clean. You are not allowed to use the slides in swimming shorts. You have to wear tight-fitting swimming trunks. We couldn't really understand that. The location is great. Many excursion destinations are nearby. We can highly recommend the Affenberg and of course Europa Park. The swimming pool is probably not used because of the swimming cap requirement, but the slides and the bathing lake all the more so. We didn't want to camp in Rust because of the price/restlessness and parking lot character. We found a site in Rhinau on a small quarry pond in a small town with a bakery/butcher/supermarket. It's a super nice place with a small bathing lake, ideal for children with a water slide and playground. In summer, July-August, a small snack bar is open. The rest of the time there are several places to eat in the village. There is a large supermarket approx. 1 km away.... The campsite is quiet, which is important to the owner. So there is no party at night. The sanitary facilities are not up to date, but when we were there everything was clean and there was hot water around the clock. The owner was always very friendly. He regularly does his rounds on the site and always asks if everything is OK. The price-performance ratio is very good here. We will always come back here.Automatski prevedeno.
