"a place in the middle of (seemingly) exotic, flowering plants and pine trees - A very small, flourishing campsite with artistically crocheted tree trunks. In an absolutely rural location, very quiet. The staff are pleasant and friendly. The sanitary facilities are modern and always very clean. The path to the small, hidden and little-visited beach is about 500m. It is a shallow sandy beach where you can also go for a swim. The site is in a suitable location for excursions to Cherbourg, including the "La Cite de la Mer" exhibition with the Redoutable submarine, to Barfleur, one of the most beautiful villages in France, and to Saint Pierre Eglise, a small medieval village.

A small, intimate campsite half a kilometre from the beach: Camping de la Plage is located on the north coast of Cotentin in Normandy. With pitches among the flowers, free showers and some luxurious glamping tents, you'll quickly feel at …home. After a few minutes' walk, you'll be standing on the sandy beach of the rugged Atlantic coast. From Caen, the N13 takes you north via Bayeux to the Cotentin peninsula. You drive through a flat landscape with lots of forest and picturesque stone cottages here and there. Once you have passed Valognes, it is barely half an hour to the campsite, where a dedicated couple will make you feel right at home at Camping de la Plage. Between flowers and trees The pitches are carefully laid out among the flowers and beautiful grassy fields. The wooden hikers' cabins and the large glamping tents are something special. There are also forty pitches reserved for permanent guests, mainly French. They are all friendly holidaymakers looking for peace and cosiness in a small setting. The tour campers come from all corners of Europe to enjoy the quiet life on the Atlantic coast. Only four hundred metres from the campsite you will find a small bay with a sandy beach. There you can sunbathe on the beach or take a dip in the sea. Small and intimate At the campsite you will find great playground equipment, a mini golf course and a bowling alley. The recreation room has a cosy bar with seating. The modern sanitary facilities are incredibly tidy.
