Great ambience under old palm trees, beautiful shady plots. Excellent store with siper butcher and quite reasonable bakery. Good restaurants on site.

NO beach!!! The pictures of the long sandy beach behind the dune that separates the campsite are from long ago. The beach was repeatedly torn away by a storm in winter. It will be years before this major construction site is tackled! So only the public beach next to the campsite is available, the waves sometimes reach right up to the dune. Everything is very old and very run-down. Mold stains and mildew stains in the showers, some of which only offer a trickle of water. And still very expensive...
Ok- but more expected
We are used to ADAC top pitches, this one disappointed us. A lot of money for a big, old campsite without a beach. There are certainly better places.

The train line is no longer active.
The drive through the former railroad underpass is adventurous, especially for wide and long caravans.

The volume of the animation and the beach bar until 11pm was really bad. You should avoid getting a parking space near both.
Very beautiful, green and very shady grounds with palm trees
We stayed at this campsite in August 2019. We were in the second row to the sea, near the beach bar (very good bands were guests) with a large tent.

We have now seen a few campsites in Europe. This one is a really very green campsite with lots of shade provided by the many palm trees. There is also... a supermarket with a bakery, hairdresser, bars, restaurants, take-away and souvenir stores - everything you need.

The pool area is really beautiful, but unfortunately always very crowded. We therefore used the nearby and really beautiful beach. It is cleaned every morning!

By the way: the train passing through didn't bother us. You could hardly hear it.

Apart from that, the location is brilliant between the larger tourist towns (Salou etc.) to have some hustle and bustle. Barcelona and Valencia can be reached quickly by car and Tarragona is also worth a trip.

We will be back! But then one pitch further away from the beach bar.

Great place at an acceptable price
We stayed at the campsite for 2 weeks last year. We had booked a Grand Comfort pitch. We arrived at the campsite at 23.00 in the evening. Despite the reception being closed, we were asked to drive onto the site. However, as we didn't want to disturb the other campers at that time of night, we stayed... overnight in front of the barrier. In the morning, we were allowed to go straight to our booked pitch. The staff were very helpful and helped us to push the caravan straight onto the pitch. We were close to the beach bar and were really glad we weren't standing right next to it. Live music is played there regularly. However, it closes at 11 p.m. sharp and it immediately becomes quiet on the pitch. The supermarket is well stocked and the prices were not overpriced. The pool area is very nice and well maintained. It was a pity that extra areas such as the children's pool are not open all the time and can only be used for a few hours a day. A few years ago we stayed at the neighboring playa montroig, which has one more star, but in our opinion is not necessarily one star better. The sanitary facilities are no longer the most modern, but they were always clean. We were very satisfied and will prefer this site to playa montroig in the future. It is a lot more expensive, but not necessarily better.

Simply a great vacation
We stayed here for 10 days in August. We arrived by car and spent 1 night in Lyon (about half the distance from Cologne), the reception was very good and after less than half an hour we were in our mobile home, everything was OK. We had read reviews beforehand that the supermarket was expensive and the... food in the restaurants not so good. We didn't leave the campsite and bought everything there, e.g. a large beer 3 euros and a cocktail 6 euros on the terrace in the evening. Everything was absolutely fine. The Mini Club team did a great job with the entertainment and you could tell they really enjoyed it. The pool is top, and a few hundred meters and you are in the sea, we will come back (family 2 children 7 and 10 years).

Like a second home
I've been there regularly with my family since I was a baby and have been satisfied every year. There is a really good atmosphere and you can really relax. The entire campsite, including the sanitary facilities, is clean and well-kept. In contrast to the neighboring campsites, a lot is invested here... in the design of the green areas and plants. The green illuminated plants create a very special and cozy feeling. Great entertainment for children, disco for teenagers and live music and shows for all generations as well as a movie theater. The pool is always great. The only negative thing I found this year was that there are no more flamenco evenings.

A good place on the Costa Daurada
La Torre del Sol is a beautifully laid out campsite with palm trees and mulberry trees, between the N340, the railroad line and the beach. As usual in Spain, the pitches were rather small with 6/10 amp. fuses and mostly without water/waste water connections. The upper part of the site consists of many... rental accommodations which were hardly occupied at our time. The sanitary facilities were clean and in good condition (including toilet seats and clean brushes). We had no problems getting to and from our pitch at the back, despite the railroad underpass and a caravan length of over 7 meters. What we didn't like were the inconsiderate parking offenders who occupied more than their pitch and made it difficult for new arrivals to find a free pitch. When we registered, we were told that the vehicles had to be removed immediately if we chose a pitch. But who wants to wait for the drivers on hot days after the journey until they finally arrive from the beach or market?

We were there in September 2016. The Camping Card was accepted. Only 6 nights are charged for a stay of 7 nights. In this respect, 15.50 euros is really cheap. WiFi, on the other hand, is not included and has to be purchased relatively expensively. At the same time, cell phone reception varies greatly... over the normal cell phone network, so there is hardly any possibility of establishing Internet access for the laptop via the cell phone itself. This is actually an absurdity nowadays, when WiFi coverage is practically a basic requirement for vacationers. The passageway on the pitch is really quite narrow and low and the many bumps on the supply shafts that run through the tunnel should be a warning to anyone who drives through there carelessly. It's better to ask at reception about the alternative passage. The campers in the off-season were all more or less in search of peace and quiet and behaved accordingly quietly on their pitches. Only in the evening did the campsite operator of all people make a lot of noise by playing live music in the bar. My recommendation for those seeking peace and quiet would therefore be to look for a pitch as far away from the bar as possible. The pitches in the front row with a sea view are already fully booked for a long time. In addition, the Camping Card is not valid here.

We had a wonderful place by the sea, which was simply fantastic. It had a large heated whirlpool. It's a shame that the other pools, including the children's pool, weren't heated better. The staff were very friendly. We will definitely come back again.

Friendly reception. You can choose your own pitch. Pitches relatively small, dry soil, partly under tall trees, little (no) privacy protection. Some of the tall conifers drip red sap, which can only be removed with hot water. Many pitches without / with poor satellite reception due to many tall trees.... Pitch still well booked even at the beginning of October (80% full). Access to the pitches after the barrier is through an underpass (railroad line) only 3.10m high. It is also quite narrow in width. If you ask at the reception, a side gate is opened, to which you can get from the traffic circle in front of the campsite through a larger, higher underpass. Nevertheless, it is also quite narrow on the campsite itself for motorhomes longer than 8.50 due to the bends around the buildings and into the cul-de-sacs. There are also hardly any pitches for larger motorhomes. Sanitary facilities clean, but all toilets without toilet seats (only the pure porcelain toilet plus grab rail available). Toilet brushes with broken handles. Also not great if you want to leave everything clean. Too few soap dispensers (only one per row of washbasins). Beach is nice (piled up sandy beach). The ground in the water is coarse pebbles. It quickly becomes very deep. No recognizable sandbanks in front of it. The view of the coast, palm trees and mountains while swimming is varied. However, in the low season, the sandy beach was almost completely washed away by the sea, so you couldn't lie anywhere on the beach. No central gray water disposal for motorhomes at the exit or arrival possible. Only one water tap per cul-de-sac. In the evening you can hear the music near the disco. Volume but still ok. OK for a stopover, but less suitable for a longer stay, at least for us.

We asked for a reservation months before our visit. The answer was that this was not necessary as a place would always be found. Unfortunately, in spring 2015 there were actually only mini spaces left. The width of the individual seats is not stated in the brochure. We only found one pitch with a width... of less than 7 meters. With a caravan over 6 m long, the awning had to be pitched next to it. There is then very little space for the car. The access roads are very narrow. We no longer go there.

Pitches are ok. The bathing area, entertainment, disco, tennis, stores, etc. are mostly located in the entrance area, so it is quite a long walk from the rear of the campsite. The sea, on the other hand, is only a few meters away. The beach is often quite narrow at high tide. We felt very comfortable.

Regarding the rating, we were there in April 2013. The campsite was almost empty, only a few older campers were guests. The site has a designated swimming pool for the transitional season, the larger pools were full but really only recommended for the hardened swimmers. There is also a pub with live... football and a disco outside the complex. The live music played consistently in front of empty stands (they played well, but there were almost no guests). The staff were very friendly and helpful, the complex was always cleaned, gardened and maintained during our entire stay. There is no toilet paper in the toilet cubicles, it was always hanging in the corridor. It is to be highly commended that they put everything into operation and carried out their program, although there were almost no interested guests. (Miniclub with 1-2 children carried out without ifs and buts). Camingplatz is to be recommended

A very well-kept campsite. However, if you are in the last rows it is far too far to the entertainment, so that our children did not take advantage of the offer and annoyed us the whole vacation. Luckily we had a bike with us so that at least someone could get the bread rolls in the morning. The cleaning... agent used to clean the sanitary facilities smelled so pungent, like heating oil, that it gave me a headache. When I complained to reception, I was told that the boss wanted it that way. It annoyed my husband that he had to walk around with a green plastic wristband for the entire stay at these prices. I also didn't like the fact that you couldn't always use the whirlpools and sometimes had to leave the jacuzzi for no apparent reason. You were only allowed to use the swimming pool from 10:30 in the morning, so it was canceled for everyone who wanted to do a lap before breakfast. We felt quite harassed there.
