"Vacation at the lake - My wife and I stayed at the campsite from 01.- 11.09.24 with our dog. The rented pitch was large and beautifully situated. There is a nice path around the lake and a fenced area for dogs. You can also go on beautiful and extensive bike tours from the campsite, e.g. to Neuharlingersiel, Harlesiel or towards Friedeburg and Wiesmoor. We liked it very much. We will definitely come back again.

"Beautiful place with weaknesses - The relatively new campsite is well designed and in a really nice location. Overall, I enjoyed my two-week stay. The sanitary facilities were very good and always clean. There were three things I didn't like: 1. when it rained for about 2.5 hours, my pitch flooded, although it wasn't heavy rain, but light rain according to the weather app. It also took two days for the water to seep away. There is obviously no proper drainage. So you can't really offer it as a pitch. The electricity was cut off for several hours during the night because of the water. 2. there is a lack of catering facilities. I did not see a food truck mentioned on TV during the camping check. If you advertise this, then you should offer it at least occasionally or simply not advertise it. 3. the campsite is a bit out of the way. Some of the other attractive excursion destinations in East Frisia are very far away. Several times I had to drive 50 kilometers one way to get there.

"Super great campsite. we would love to come back ☺️ - A really very nice and well-kept, quiet campsite. It was definitely not the last time we were there. Centrally located, the town center of Wittmund is within walking distance. And you can quickly reach the popular vacation resorts of Neuharlingersiel, Bendersil, Esens, Aurich etc. by car.

"New, modern but an electricity rip-off - The new campsite is located on the outskirts of the village directly on the small Friesensee lake next to the public outdoor pool. Well signposted and easily accessible even for large vehicles. The nearest discount store is approx. 300 meters away, in the village there are bakeries, supermarkets and numerous restaurants. Cycle paths are well developed. Dog owners have plenty of room to run around and there is also a specially fenced-in dog beach. The pitches are partly paved with grass pavers and also have private baths on the pitches in an area directly on the lakeshore. The pitches are quite narrow, but there is a meadow right up to the shore. There are also unpaved, larger pitches on a large meadow. The pitches are not separated by hedges or anything similar. There are no trees to provide shade. There is a modern sanitary building and a playground that unfortunately cannot yet be used. There are no catering facilities. There are a few rental bungalows on the site. The camper van disposal is generous and well done. Motorhome pitches in front of the barrier very narrow and on pavement. The reception offers drinks for 3 euros (0.33l bottles) and online bread roll service. (85 cents for a normal bread roll). The prices are therefore overpriced, as is the electricity at 85 cents kw/h. Unfortunately, the private pools are ripped off. Of course you pay a high surcharge for the baths, which is clear. But then all electricity costs for hot water / showers / light pp. are charged extra! While showers and hot water are included in the sanitary building for all campers, the tenants of the private bathrooms are really ripped off. I have never experienced this billing behavior before and we get around a lot. For this reason, we will not visit this campsite again as we will not support such a method.

"Very well paved paths and pitches on originally boggy ground - The campsite served as a central hub for excursions to Jever, Aurich, Wilhelmshaven, Emden, Leer and Neuharlingersiel.

Ihr sucht eine Ferienunterkunft am See? Unsere modernen, vollausgestatteten Seelodges mit eigener Sonnenterrasse sowie unsere drei Ferienwohnungen bieten Platz für bis zu vier Personen und sind der perfekte Rückzugsort für Singles, Paare und Familien. Mit seiner zentralen Lage bietet unser Campingplatz den passenden Ausgangspunkt um Meeresluft zu schnuppern und die ostfriesische Halbinsel zu erkunden. Radelt mit dem Fahrrad entlang der Küste, entdeckt den Erholungsort Wittmund gleich bei uns um die Ecke, macht eine Shoppingtour durch „Ostfrieslands heimliche Hauptstadt“ Aurich oder plant einen Tagesausflug in das malerische Fischerdorf Greetsiel. In den Sommermonaten lockt das öffentliche Freizeit- und Erlebnisbad Isums direkt neben dem Campingpark unsere großen und kleinen Gäste zum Sprung ins Kühle nass. Wir finden: Ein Campingplatz mit Freibad und jeder Menge Rutschspaß gehört zu einem perfekten Sommerurlaub einfach dazu. Wer es gerne etwas rauer mag, besucht das platte Land auch für Herbst- und Wintercamping und lässt sich wie ein waschechter Ostfriese ordentlich durchpusten.
