- Familie S.rujan 2019Dobre straneBeautiful surroundings, value for money ok. Gladly again in the off-season.Negativne straneVery sparse facilities, nothing for high demands. Shopping facilities far away.A journey into the past. The site is situated in a beautiful landscape in the immediate vicinity of a reservoir. It is well developed for tourism: public bathing area, restaurant, WC, kiosk, benches, bus stop. Paved footpaths, well-kept surroundings, all at no extra cost! - Now we enter the campsite and travel back in time a... few decades. The barrier is opened by hand and if you have a phobia of spiders or mice, you'd better turn around right away. Hot water for washing up is available by the hour and in the sanitary facilities only for the men and only at one washbasin. At least you can take a hot shower. You have to bring your own toilet paper. No newspapers, bread rolls for sale or anything. Cell phone network is dilapidated, and there's no WLAN at all. But the paths are floodlit at night, there is a playground and a meadow for tents. If you spend the night here, you will experience camping in the old days - you should know that BEFORE you arrive. We were looking for peace and seclusion and stayed for six nights despite everything. The site simply has character.Automatski prevedeno.

Clean and large with awning and terrace.sanitary facilities as already mentioned here several times are old but no matter what time you enter them - always clean. Great boss!... Always helpful and brought bread rolls to the tent. We also thought it was great that he asked if everything was ok - not pushy just really friendly. We would love to come backAutomatski prevedeno.
- Dominik P.srpanj 2017Dobre stranePeace, relaxation, nice camping community, great helpfulness among the campers, short distance to the bathing lakeNegativne straneThe sanitary facilities are old, but CLEANRustic nature campsiteWe are permanent campers at the site and appreciate the peace and relaxation we find here. The daily lunch break is from 12.00 noon to 2.00 pm, during which time vehicles are not allowed to drive; the radio and other equipment must be set to "tent volume" (understandable, isn't it?). Night-time quiet... applies from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m., also with a driving ban. It should be clear to everyone that you should be quieter in the evening/night, and it's no different in a rented apartment. In the interests of all guests at the campsite, compliance with the midday break/night rest is also checked occasionally, after all it is a place of peace, rest and relaxation and not a party mile. The tenant takes good care to keep everything in good shape and has already renewed/renovated or renovated a lot since he took over the site. The sanitary facilities are actually old, are cleaned daily and are CLEAN. Of course, there can be a "mishap", but this is rectified as soon as it becomes known. Bear in mind that the sanitary facilities are "public" so to speak (i.e. for everyone present on the pitch). The technical condition of the facilities is fine, everything works. Showers cost €0.20 per minute and the water comes out of the tap very hot. If you need coins, you can have them changed in the office. There is a room for washing dishes behind the large sanitary building, and there is also a washing machine and dryer in the building. There are several drinking water supply points throughout the site. There is a separate disposal station for gray water and the chemical toilets. There are several rental caravans available, as well as pitches for transit campers with caravans or motorhomes and a large meadow for tents. Electricity is available at every pitch, and tents can also be supplied with electricity if required. There is a second, small sanitary building (toilets) with a place to wash dishes at the tent meadow. Above the lake and campsite there is a moderately priced lakeside restaurant. Other good restaurants can be reached by car. The nearest shopping facilities are in Stadtlauringen, approx. 5-6 km away. To pick up on a recent review (quotes from the review in quotation marks): "Sanitary facilities as well as actually everything are run-down," => The facilities are not run-down, they are old, but clean and in decent condition for their age (well over 40 years). What 'actually everything' stands for is unfortunately not known. " It is a long walk to the lake itself." => unfortunately I don't know which route this guest took to the lake. If you leave the campsite and walk straight ahead, you come to the official path through a short stretch of forest that leads to the lake. The walk takes about 2-3 minutes from the campsite barrier if you walk at a leisurely pace, the path is signposted with a large sign 'ZUM SEE' (If you can read, you have a clear advantage...) "The groundsman is a cheek: rude, unfriendly." => The groundsman is friendly. If you have to be reminded (several times) to comply with the campsite rules (which, incidentally, every camper receives on arrival), the tone can understandably be a little more 'firm' in extreme cases, e.g. after (multiple) complaints from other campers. "Cars (except permanent guests) are NOT allowed to park on the site!" => this statement is simply wrong. If you come with a camper van, you can usually also stay with the camper van. Of course, not every camper can park on the tent meadow, for reasons of space, among others, this is not possible. However, there are two alternatives: parking spaces are available in the area of the barrier for a fee. If you want to park free of charge, you can park your vehicle in the large public parking lot above the campsite; this is about 50-60m from the campsite. The permanent campers have their own pitches on their plots. "Normal talking or quiet music in the evening: the aforementioned block warden threatens to throw you out, campfires are forbidden anyway." => you are guaranteed not to be thrown out for these reasons; open fires are prohibited due to the risk of forest fires. There are no fire pits for campfires anyway. Barbecues are allowed! 'Block warden' is a more than unfavorable term due to the meaning it has acquired in the past (Google helps) "You are not a paying customer and welcome guest here, but apparently a nuisance to the master." => paying customers are welcome guests in any business, but annoyances are not :) "Whoever pitches their tent on the next best meadow has more of it....." => correct, e.g. a complaint for the illegal pitching of a tent, with fines of 10€-500€ depending on the location :) "one of the worst campsites in Germany." => Be careful with such statements, after all there are over 2800 campsites in Germany....Automatski prevedeno.

- Peter H.srpanj 2017Bad and unfriendlyThe sanitary facilities and everything else are run-down, and it's a long walk to the lake itself. The groundsman is a cheek: rude, unfriendly. Cars (except permanent guests) are NOT even allowed to park on the site! Normal talking or quiet music in the evening: the aforementioned caretaker threatens... to throw you out, campfires are forbidden anyway. You are not a paying customer and welcome guest here, but apparently a nuisance for the man. If you pitch your tent on the next best meadow, you have more of it..... one of the worst campsites in Germany. The beautiful Ellertshäuser See deserved better.Automatski prevedeno.
