Well, the good traffic connections are unfortunately not noiseless. Rather insignificant for campers, but can be a nuisance in a tent.Classic campsite also for tents without frillsA nice, small, Franconian place, "without any frills". Great for wandering around Franconia a bit, or for stopping off on the big south-north tour (e.g. Palermo / Hamburg, Bolzano / Duisburg... or vice versa).
The site belongs to the municipality and is managed in a Franconian-friendly manner by a couple... who also live on the site. Greetings to you! :-) We've been there several times and will be spending a few days there again in 2024. For non-Franconians, but still interested in culture, the proximity to Bamberg, wonderfully accessible by public transport, is ideal. This is also ideal for beer lovers.
The Franconian beers, where every bus stop has its own brewery, are a must. The S-Bahn or regional train stops in the immediate vicinity of the square.

The village offers shopping facilities as well as inns and beer gardens.
The train station is within walking distance and Bamberg is just a few minutes away by train.
The train... line on the other side of the lake is audible but not disturbing.
The only annoying thing is the couple of caretakers. It is not about a strict regiment but about extreme mood swings up to nasty insults. Unfortunately, the bad moods clearly outweigh the bad moods.

Great value for money and GsD not yet as elitist as some "glamping" sitesI am very impressed, especially with the service and friendliness!I discovered this place while looking for a lake to camp at. I quickly rented a permanent pitch and bought a caravan. The arrival after a very long drive was totally relaxed, even though it was outside office hours: I was welcomed in a very friendly and helpful manner, instructed and in no time at all... my caravan was perfectly aligned, thanks to the great help from the groundskeeper couple and nice "neighbors"! The permanent campers' pitches are idyllically quiet, very friendly and relaxed and you can get in touch immediately if you want to. The helpfulness is extremely positive, as are the courtesy, service and friendliness of the groundsman and groundswoman. This campsite is really a stroke of luck for me and I am already very happy that I will have my pitch there again for the season in the coming years. The leisure and sports facilities - apart from mountain climbing and water skiing - are really more than adequate, with something for every age group. Franconia has a lot to offer, especially the good gastronomy, the cellars (generally known as beer gardens), lots of culture, the wine route, beer route, etc. The shopping facilities in the town are within easy reach and the nearby district town of Bamberg (UNESCO World Heritage Site) is definitely worth a visit, you can't discover everything there is to see in one day. The advantage that the caravans and tents are not soiled by too many trees is also a disadvantage: you have to provide sufficient shade with parasols or awnings so that you can survive the hot days. Motorhomes, caravans and guests with tents also have almost free choice of pitches on a large meadow area with lake view, suitable for dogs. Dream tourist location in the upper Main valley. Shopping facilities and restaurants within walking... distance, small private brewery inns and shady beer cellars in the surrounding area. A dedicated family now manages the site and ensures a well-kept place for a pleasant stay. Kiosk with chilled drinks on offer, bread roll service at weekends as well as coffee and home-baked cakes. Standard sanitary facilities in clean condition, the site is highly recommended for a short break.Automatski prevedeno.

It offers many advantages, especially for groups, as the pitches for tents and caravans are not divided into plots and are quite spacious. There is a separate area for permanent campers. Lake Ebingen is very beautiful, but not... completely clean. Nevertheless, it is good for swimming. A little tip: take a rubber dinghy with you. There are parking spaces directly in front of the campsite. You can conveniently park your car on the site for €3. I can definitely recommend the campsite and will definitely be back myself.Automatski prevedeno.

Registration is lengthy and completely chaotic, but you can't look for a place without registering. The municipality probably no longer pays the groundsmen overtime, so the office hours are very short and the rush is correspondingly heavy. The sanitary... facilities can only be accessed with a key, for which a deposit is required. I have never experienced this before. The pitch that was thoughtfully allocated to us - namely at some distance from party guests - was then within earshot of the main road.
