our pitch was right next to the bathing lake, actually beautiful, if there weren't so many permanent campers who puff themselves up as camping police, especially the gossiping women who think they have to watch everything out of boredom. sorry but that had to come... out. good advice: reserve a pitch away from these "ladies".
Otherwise the campsite is great,

We had a meeting that weekend with 20 caravans/mobiles for which the operators had reserved 2 complete rows for us. Thanks again for that. As already mentioned, the site is very cheap, bread roll service works perfectly,... sanitary facilities are clean. There is a pizza machine on site for catering, but unfortunately no more. Orders for bread rolls were taken immediately and were ready every morning in personal bags.
Unfortunately, there was a large group at the weekend, so the night's sleep was somewhat disturbed. The site is family-run and this is noticeable everywhere in a very positive way. Nevertheless, the campsite leaves me feeling ambivalent. On the one hand, there are quite large pitches with water connections and grassy areas, super nice operators and everything is spotlessly... clean. On the other hand, you have to put up with a few peculiarities. Hot water always costs money, 20 cents at the washbasin and in the sink, one euro for the shower. The advantage is that you always have hot water. You also always have to bring your own toilet paper. Once you've got used to this, there's nothing to stop you having a good time. The sanitary facilities are always clean, no matter how full the place is. Showers and toilets are located in one room. However, there are also washing cubicles and showers outside. The site in the middle of Ems-Land is clearly structured and clean. We were given our own room for the evenings. The operators were extremely nice and friendly. At the weekend there was a bread roll service if ordered... in advance, which was charged on departure. The big drawback in my eyes was the sanitary facilities. They were clean, but the showers are in a room directly opposite the toilets. When showering you can smell what the person opposite had for dinner the night before, not great. The noise was drowned out by NDR1 over the loudspeakers. There was no toilet paper in the individual toilets. Only a large emergency roll in the corridor. In my eyes a no-go and totally 80s. The showers cost 1.-, the running time was perfectly adequate, at least for me with a flat. I don't know what it's like for people with a mane. I never used the time. The scullery could do with an overhaul. Hot water costs €0.20 here too, and the quantity is a bit small. It doesn't have to be. If the operator were to charge €0.50 a day, it could be done without. Especially as the pitch is not expensive. All in all, a campsite run by nice people, well suited for children. I would spend a weekend here again, but not a vacation because of the sanis.Automatski prevedeno.

The place and the accommodation are absolutely great - the price-performance ratio is excellent. We took advantage of the bread roll service every morning. The fishing lake is very spacious and not... overcrowded. The swimming pond was well frequented in summer but never overcrowded. We have always enjoyed the events on offer. It is a pity that there are no private sanitary facilities. Quite busy in high season but still not overcrowded. A paradise for those seeking peace and quiet in the low season. Extremely friendly operators. Everything on the site is well maintained and there are some unusual extras. The park has an animal park with a large enclosure and small animals. There is also delicious "Greetsiel" ice cream. The bathing lake... is relatively small but serves its purpose. The highlight is the fishing lake, which is also used extensively. Most of the pitches are very sunny without much shade. We were in the area of the fishing lake. Dogs are tolerated there, but to be honest you have to say that of course you don't like to let your four-legged friends into the water where others are fishing. The site is ideal for cyclists. Papenburg and Rhede are relatively close by. We didn't like it that much. Our pitch was near the kiosk. It was very restless. The sanitary facilities were clean and well maintained, but no toilet paper! This point is a "no go" for us! We were also not informed of this on arrival. The toilets are right next to... the showers (toilets on the left of the room and showers on the right). Very unpleasant smells and noises. Very badly solved. Only one place to brush your teeth and again right next to the toilet. Outside we saw two unisex wash cubicles. There were only 3 places to wash up, which was too few for us and you have to expect waiting times, especially at peak times. Wouldn't like to complain any further now.
