Camping in the ski area
The site is quite suitable for a one-night stopover. The site is located in the middle of a residential area, it consists of 2 parts and offers space for caravans, motorhomes and tents, but at the equivalent of €39 it is quite expensive for a caravan and 2 people. There are also some cabins to rent....
The sanitary building is clean, but far too small.
You can go on short hikes from the campsite and the village itself is also within walking distance. However, you are in a ski area that has not yet really discovered summer tourism.

A little far away from shopping facilities
Camping in the ski area - also great in summer
We drove to the campsite on the way home from our North Cape tour.
The site is in Geilo, a well-known ski resort and is probably busier in winter.
That's why the reception is probably not always manned in summer, but after calling the telephone number on file, you were greeted in a friendly manner within... a few minutes.
Free choice of pitches, sufficiently large pitches, fairly straight and well paved.
Sanitary area very clean and well maintained, but certainly too small when fully occupied.
Although in the immediate vicinity of houses, it is a bit far to the nearest store without a bike.
Beautiful hiking opportunities in the immediate vicinity of the campsite along a stream or to the Schibergen mountains.
More than okay for us as a transit site, a few days would be fine for us.
The price was relatively high, as everywhere in Norway.
