From Feistritz you can go on beautiful bike tours on the Drau cycle path, but also hikes in the immediate vicinity (my recommendation: Bärental!)
There is a small playground and a pool for children, but unfortunately... it is not heated. If the nights are cold, the water is at the right temperature the next day.
Unfortunately, the pitches are not separated from each other, which meant that other guests practically walked under the awning.
All in all, the price-performance ratio is okay. Very good restaurant with a nice terrace, rather expensive. Supermarket is a 10-minute walk away.

We felt very comfortable right from the start. From the friendly welcome on our arrival to the pleasant peace and quiet (end of Aug. to beginning of Sept. 2020) to the clean and well-kept grounds. The whole area is one large lawn,... partly with shady spots, partly sunny. A wide range of activities are possible from here. Swimming in the site's own pool or in the nearby bathing lake near St. Johann (too far to walk, but easily accessible by bike etc.). Cycling on the Drau cycle path right next door, hiking in the surrounding area... The inn belonging to the campsite offers very good cuisine. The menu could do with a bit more reasonably priced dishes, but we were here almost at the end of the season, so perhaps it's different in the high season. However, there are other good inns and taverns in the surrounding area. The friendly and helpful owners are always on top of everything.Automatski prevedeno.

The concept of a large green area creates a park-like atmosphere, although the individual pitches are unfortunately quite small, which is not a problem when the site is not fully occupied.
The showers... were changed from free to 50ct per shower during the stay, electricity is included. The covered pool is great and welcome, as swimming in the Drau is unfortunately out of the question. Children love the playground.
The restaurant offers two menus: a "camper menu" with inexpensive dishes, pizza to take away and a very upmarket menu with excellent quality food.

The camp's own restaurant is of... a very high standard and offers both inexpensive daily specials and exclusive cuisine. The beautiful surroundings at the foot of the Karawanken mountains offer a wealth of sporting activities, which are also organized by the campsite management (cycling (Drau cycle path), hiking, mountain tours, excursions, etc.). Water tap is much too close to toilet disposal.Small but very special campsiteAfter the debacle with the campsite before (Rosental), we (2 adults + 2 children, 4 and 7 years old, in a caravan) went to this campsite just a few kilometers away. We were able to get a nice pitch near the playground and pool and even stayed for 7 days. I should point out here that the site is rather... small anyway and it's never far to the playground and pool. But from our pitch we could see our children in the playground and when we looked to the other side we could see the mountains, which was really nice. For whatever reason, 90% of the guests were (very nice) Dutch. The pool could be covered and was open from morning until dark. About every 2nd day there was an activity for children (and adults too): Magic show, pony rides, clown, folk music etc. There was a lot going on in the playground and the meadow in front of it until a little after dark - a paradise for children, but then it got quiet and stayed that way until the morning. The place had something special; somehow everything seemed to organize itself. We really liked it here. Billa and Penny in the village are easy to reach (by car) from the campsite; not a kilometer. However, you would have to cycle quite a bit uphill. Even so, we found it either unsuitable or uninteresting for cycling - at least for short tours with children. The Drau is a few 100m away, but dammed up and rather inaccessible. But there was a lot to explore in the surrounding area (then by car). We were well advised by the site owners! At the campsite itself there was bread and rolls in the morning - if ordered in advance - and the restaurant, which was praised by everyone. But somehow we didn't manage to try it out ourselves. Maybe next time, because we'll definitely be back. We liked the fact that there were a few apples and pear trees on the site, but the fallen fruit was left lying around for a long time, as was the idea of planting useful plants such as strawberries or raspberries around the sanitary building.Automatski prevedeno.

After it got too warm for us in Rovinj, we went back to the Juritz campsite and went hiking. Over the past four years, we've stayed at a wide variety of campsites in Carinthia. Friendly welcome by Juritz family, who go out of their way to make their guests comfortable. The restaurant serves culinary delights as well as affordable daily menus. Sandwich service works well. The pool is reasonably... sized and the water a pleasant temperature. (The sliding roof of the pool opens in good weather.) The area is perfect for beautiful walks in the mountains, organized by the campsite. Be sure to join us for the common meals that are held regularly, where food and drinks are free. 2 supermarkets within walking distance. We found a great place here, everything clean, a new (?) sanitary building with top equipment (toilets, showers, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers (!), sinks). The pitch area is spacious, as are the plots. We had a free choice... of pitches and there are plenty of power connections (CEE) (free of charge). The site is relatively flat, so that overnight stays in tents are also possible. There is a covered, large pool in the outdoor area. The staff were all VERY friendly and it seemed like a very well-run family business. We felt really comfortable, even though we couldn't stay here for that long (unfortunately). The price should also be mentioned, we used the spring package (up to 8 days, 21 euros/night, probably applies to max. 2 adults and up to 2 or 3 children). Electricity, showers and a token for the dishwasher for each day were included. I can't say anything about the restaurant as we catered for ourselves, but everything looked very high quality. Location: on the outskirts of Feistritz im Rosental, rural, very quiet, good starting point for hikes, bike tours etc..Automatski prevedeno.

For breakfast we were able to get fresh pastries from Mrs. Juritz and there was always a great daily menu to choose from.
