"Stopover 09_2021 - If you are coming from the south, the campsite is very easy to reach. There are lots of things to do within a radius of around 40 km. However, now in September, nothing to experience directly on site. There are some old houses in the village and of course access to the fjord. We set out on a short hike and were done after 2 1/2 hours. The sanitary facilities are a matter of personal preference. I would at least have liked a hook in the shower. Disposal was OK. Fresh water hose was on the floor, unfortunately a common problem. Overall, however, I am satisfied because we had a good night here.

"Nice, small CP - Friendly reception, clean sanitary facilities. Restaurant on site. Shopping facilities and nice little old town approx. 8 minutes' walk away. Starting point for hikes.

"Family campsite with play facilities for children and bathing area - The campsite is clean and well-organized. There are permanently allocated numbered pitches, which is probably rather untypical in Norway. Everything is available. There could just be more showers and toilets. There is a small playground with a trampoline and a bathing area with a sunbathing lawn. If that's not enough, you can go to the motor skills park in the immediate vicinity of the campsite (but it costs extra). There are other play facilities for children, such as pedal cars and climbing frames. There are several fjords in the surrounding area with boat trips, stave churches and plenty of nature. There is a petrol station and shopping facilities in the village.

"Popular and lively square - I received a very friendly welcome at reception in German, despite the hectic Pentecost period. The whole site is perfectly flat. You can enjoy the sun for a long time. The restaurant is a 3+, sanitary 2. Everything was tidy and clean, typically Norwegian and functional. Would love to come back again

"Great campsite - We, 2 adults and 3 children (4, 10 and 12 years old) stayed at this campsite for 5 nights in August with our own caravan. The access is easy and well signposted, the reception was always manned and very friendly and helpful. We were allowed to choose our own pitch. WiFi is free and worked great. The sanitary facilities were always clean, there are two wash houses, if one has just been cleaned you can also use the other. For children there are Kettcars to rent, there are different Kettcars, also for several people, which our children (and dad :-)) really liked. The playground is small, there is a large playground right next door, but we didn't test it, it costs an entrance fee. You can rent a boat directly from the campsite, but the owner wants a boat license for a boat with a motor, which we have never had in Norway, and then had to switch to rowing for fishing! You can make wonderful excursions from the campsite, we never got bored all day, there was plenty to see. Shopping facilities are only a few minutes away, you can also go on foot, refueling is also possible directly at the campsite. The campsite accepts ACSI, which saved us a lot of money. We felt very comfortable, can definitely recommend the campsite and will definitely be back!

"Good location, but otherwise well... - The location of the campsite is great, right on the fjord, the Auerlandsweg and the Laerdaltunnel are close by and Flam is also easily accessible. The pitches are parceled out and quite spacious, unfortunately due to the weather there is already some water on the meadows, which were also driven over by motorhomes. The sanitary facilities are mixed, the showers are scarce in number, there is not even a hook for jacket / towel, etc.. You will also look in vain for a splash-proof shelf. The playground is ok, the new nice big playground costs about 8€ extra per person per day.

Grandavegen 5 6887 Lærdal From east (Oslo / Fagernes / Gol) / southwest (Bergen): Take the E-16 to the roundabout Håbakken, 5 km before the village, the turn onto the highway. 5 against Laerdal. Take Hwy. 5 against Sogndal (not …into Lærdal). You pass the Esso station at 100 meters a roundabout, turn right, after 200 m new roundabout, turn left. You can find our driveway after 50 meters on the left. From the west / northwest (Sogndal / Årdal): Follow rv.5 through Fodnes tunnel. After 200 meters roundabout, turn right. You can find our driveway after 50 meters on the left.
