When we arrived, 2 vehicles had already got stuck and we were number 3 on our pitch. Luckily we had a neighbor who pulled us out again with his car. The tenant's only concern was his lawn. No help... or support.
The great new sanitary facilities are unheated and dingy, there is only cold water at the washbasins and the only electric hand dryer is faulty.

Very bad access to the place, in places very unkempt the place and the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities leaves much to be desired.O.K. as a stopover.The access is a bit difficult.
Unfortunately, the reception is not exactly friendly. The pitches are good sized, fairly level and with electricity.
The sanitary facilities seem unkempt and if something is rotting away (mold, cobwebs...) it can't be down to the campers. Clean toilets and showers are.... The whole place looks like it was not finished, something was started and not finished. The small supermarket has probably been closed for some time. There is a bread roll service and simple, warm meals to take away or eat on site. Playground and mini golf as well as a small swimming pool. Shopping facilities 600 meters away. Good excursion possibilities by bike (Neckar cycle path) or on foot (hiking trails). Flat, family-friendly cycling possible.... Excursions by bike and train can be easily combined, 20 minutes to Heidelberg by S-Bahn. Beautiful place with a great castle complex, but quite dead. Quiet despite nearby road (you get used to the motorcycle noise), for dogs nearby forest with hiking trail and near stream. No good WiFi reception, only at reception. No waste separation, which is strange these days. Wash houses older, but ok, it's often down to the users and not the owners if it's unsightly... the location with outdoor seating is appropriate.Automatski prevedeno.

H.May 2020Dobre straneLarge pitches, surrounded by greenery, all activities and excursion destinations in the Odenwald are within easy reach, relaxing peace and quiet (due to the dead spot and the non-functioning internet)Negativne straneIt is difficult to plan excursions on site due to the radio blackout and the non-functioning internetIdyll in the dead zoneWe (a family of five) were camping for the first time and visited the campsite around Ascension Day. We were all very satisfied. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful. Our comfort pitch (2nd of 3 categories) was very spacious and beautifully situated by the stream. If you don't like the sound... of the stream, you should choose a different pitch...we found it very pleasant. The sanitary facilities were good, hot water was included in the price and at least after the daily cleaning times the sanitary facilities were also very clean. In the morning there is a bread roll service, otherwise you can also eat in the very nice restaurant/beer garden. Although it is stated that there is WiFi, it does not work (which is actually a no-go). As the campsite is located in a dead zone, everyone has to know whether they can handle it... Personally, it didn't bother us and we really enjoyed the peace and quiet. The existing playground seemed to me to be in need of a major overhaul and was probably aimed more at smaller children...but our little ones (6 and 7 years) liked it. It was also a shame that the mini golf course was so neglected... Sweeping the course once a day would be enough. A nice 20-minute walk through the forest by the stream takes you to Hirschhorn am Neckar. In general, the campsite is very well located for excursions into the Odenwald and along the Neckar. As camping newbies, we certainly lack the comparison.... But all in all, we really enjoyed our time at the campsite and we will certainly be back at some point...Automatski prevedeno.

The guide of the ANWB makes believe better, but the campsite is old and dilapidated. There is no heated swimming pool like the ANWB guide says. There is a swimming pool, but with ice cold water. Our youngest of 1.5 years came out blue.... The playground has equipment from before the war and is falling apart. The plumbing is old, dirty and little is cleaned. The guide of the ANWB says there is animation. During our stay, the animation did not show up for a week. In short: the information from the ANWB is absolutely not correct. In the restaurant you can eat fine, but is very pricey. Are you passing through, then you can fine a night here, but if you want to camp here with a young family then we (father and mother of 3 young children) really advise against this campsite.Automatski prevedeno.

The playground is not nice and the sandpit is just a hole without sand. The sanitary facilities are outdated and were very dirty. Even after the daily cleaning it was no better. W-Lan is unfortunately only available to a limited extent at... reception. The self-service store is closed and the restaurant is not recommendable. The operators are unfriendly and unhelpful. Absolutely dog-friendly, which attracts many campers with dogs. Many dog lovers meet in one corner of the site. Naturally, the surrounding area is a paradise for hikers. A feeder road leads past the site. Unfortunately, it... is also the motorcyclists who think they are using the road to the racecourse. The site itself is a bit outdated, leading to a collection of caravan bodies in some corners. Why these are not removed remains a mystery. The WLAN is partly available with a good network, but that doesn't help either, as the Internet is almost unavailable. No, you can't advertise with that, completely unusable. Even if the food in the restaurant is supposed to be good, you have to get it first. After three reminders for drinks, we left exactly 1 hour after ordering without receiving them. The closed swimming pool rounded off our visit to the campsite. Now to the positive: You notice a certain spirit of optimism, the entrance area seems to have been overhauled and the sanitary facilities are up to date, presumably renovated over the winter period. Conclusion: The site is fine, you can definitely camp well. But there is clearly room for improvement.Automatski prevedeno.

Sanitary clean but a bit outdated. Taps in the toilet did not work. In the shower, the push button had to be operated every second. In one toilet the paper was not refilled for 3 days. Only one sanitary was... open (ok in low season) but why does it have to be the one furthest away from the tourist pitches? Water in wash cubicles only lukewarm. Shower cubicles relatively cramped. Restaurant on site: You can eat, but you don't necessarily have to. Bread roll service only available for 20 minutes. ... Individually, nothing particularly dramatic, but overall you have to say: you get more for your money at other campsites. On the plus side, there is definitely the location: well suited for hikes in the Odenwald or Neckar valley.Automatski prevedeno.
