As we arrived spontaneously, we first had to give in to the occupied sign and drove on to the pitch at the station, which was also full. I called anyway and tried my luck, and lo and behold! We were allowed to come, something had become free. I was so pleased.
The reception at the site... was very friendly and service-oriented, they brought brochures, a WiFi password and a city map with them.

The small place is quiet but centrally located near the old town and the harbors of Lübbenau and the spectacular landscape of the Spreewald. In the hotel 100 meters away you can get bread rolls in the morning and end the day there in... the beer garden in the evening. The site operators are very friendly and helpful, everything is kept clean at all times and the sanitary facilities are as good as new. In addition to traditional boat trips, Lübbenau and the Spreewald also offer great sights, canoe and kayak rental, a varied network of cycle paths and, with the train station, the opportunity to get to the city center of Berlin within an hour. Spreewaldhafen is also only 500 meters away. The place is small, the pitch size is sufficient. The infrastructure is good. The food in the hotel in front of the place is very good and here you can order the rolls and pick them up in the morning. The sanitary facilities are very clean. - Albert K.August 2016I felt like I was being taken for a ride!I sent a reservation request by email on July 20, 2016 - three motorhomes, for the period August 12 - 15, 2016. Answer - "we cannot accept a reservation for the requested period". OK, no reservation. Then arrived at the Dammstraße motorhome park on August 12, 2016 - no three pitches, although pitches... were free. When I asked why we couldn't stand on the free pitches, we were curtly told that these pitches were reserved. In response to your reservation request, we clearly informed you that we could not accept any reservations for the requested period as we were full. If you then arrive anyway and find that there are supposedly free places, this has nothing to do with the actual occupancy, as reserved... places are sometimes only occupied in the evening, for example. This can only be seen on our occupancy plan. We do not make excuses, as you imply. Therefore, your assessment does not indicate any areas for improvement on our part, nor does it increase our motivation and mood. Why did you "feel like you were being taken for a ride" (your words)?
