We camped for three months and this was the most expensive campground we stayed at. Parking was a wee distance from the site.A mixed bagThe facilities here were excellent. I think there was a fridge and there was definitely somewhere they we could freeze icepaks. There was also a place to sit and eat which we really appreciated as we weren't able to travel with table and chairs. We were initially disappointed with this campground... because the site was so unwelcoming, especially given the high cost of staying there, but we really appreciated the facilities so that made us happier. I would probably try and find somewhere cheaper if I had to camp in the area again though.

We have already recommended the site to others and would like to mention the friendly staff and the always hot water for showers and washing up.

Great location, quiet & really idyllic. In 2 minutes you can walk to the river, which invites you to swim.
Very modern & clean sanitary facilities. There is even a covered kitchen for general use for the tent guests! We also really liked the large fridge,... which was available free of charge. WLAN works perfectly. We felt completely at home for the entire 10 days, which was not least due to the really friendly staff! As I write these lines, I still can't think of a single negative point of criticism! Friendly service.Negativne stranesee comment: small pitches (for classic family caravans) general condition of the campsite by no means 4-star Price/performance ratioPrice/performance is not right (pitches max 2-star)We were visiting at the end of Sept/beginning of Oct 2021. Reception, entrance and sanitary facilities were quite ok, we were also served promptly.
The bathroom was not heated in the fall, I didn't see anyone bathing there during the whole week. In addition, it is not very deep in most places, only in... a relatively small place probably about 1.20 m.
The pitches are very small. We have a classic family caravan with a central dinette, total length 7.80m. If you don't place it completely in a corner, the vehicle has no room on the pitch next to the caravan with awning!
In addition, the pitch area is by no means 4-star quality, max. 2-star (which wouldn't bother me if it weren't for the high price). The roads to the pitches are in very poor condition, the road drainage system is completely blocked, which leads to large puddles on the road. There is almost no grass (pitches 80% sand/gravel), and where there is, it is not mowed. The leaves on the trees were also not removed.
Price/performance ratio is therefore by no means right, or with a 20% membership discount probably about OK, (although I am not a TCS member to make an overpriced place "affordable", but actually that would be different)!
You also have to be aware that Gordevio is relatively far back in the Maggia Valley, so there is little sun on the course in the fall.Automatski prevedeno. - Sam J.August 2021Dobre straneLocation on the MaggiaNegativne straneVery narrow pitches Hot water is a matter of luckToo expensiveFor the price, you expect reasonable pitches (all very narrow) and a functioning hot water supply at all the relevant points. This is not a playground suitable for childrenOverwhelmed by the coronavirus situationThe proposed hygiene concept was clearly displayed, but no importance was attached to its implementation. It was only after I complained that staff were posted from time to time. However, this did little to change the compulsory wearing of masks by visitors to the campsite. I was also told that I could... keep order myself, which I did from time to time, although this was not part of my duties as a vacation guest.
