"great vacation in a large rented, clean tent - I have coeliac disease and therefore have to eat gluten-free. The host went to great lengths to work with me to find out what I could eat. And there was a lot! I even got a gluten-free pizza! Being taken so seriously with this intolerance is not a matter of course, thank you

"2* not 4* - by far the worst tcs experience - Do not stay here is you are expecting a 4* campsite. Reality is more 2* 1. Checkin staff not the friendliest and seem long overdue for some customer service training. 2. Can be very noisy, check if there is a festival on across the other side of the lake before you book otherwise you won’t be sleeping until 2am. 3. Bizarre- but also noise from air force jets, helicopters (early morning) and the local firing range! Non of this communicated in any of the site advertising. 4. Also advise not to go swimming in either of the lakes by reception due to a toxic blue algae- that would make you sick if you swim and unfortunately swallow any Water. Apparently this advice had been going on for over a month, kids were very disappointed not to go paddle boarding! Management tried to retract that this was the advice we were given. 5. Wi-Fi connection and mobile connection almost non existent at far end of the campsite at the small lake end. I was expecting to use internet on my 5g enabled iPhone on sunrise network - internet on 4 & 5g was a mere 1mb to total network drop off. WiFi barely usable also with constant network loss and painfully slow speeds. 6. Add to that a big part of the campsite is in the shadows of giant electricity pylons, the hum of cracking electricity might make some nervous! Overall a bit run down and nowhere close to any of the other tcs campsites we have stayed at - and generally a bit of an odd campsite. Also note that the nearby aliia bay surf camp do not offer any tcd discounts. For a better experience head up to the campsite at Crans Montana - lake swimming is toxic free and facilities and activities much better.

"Mr. - Thank you very much for the exceptional stay. Everything went perfectly. The value for money is excellent... the choice of mountain resorts is very wide.

"1 week camping Sion - We stayed at the campsite for a week as a family (4 people). The site is clean, the showers a bit small, but otherwise perfectly ok! The campsite store is very well laid out, i.e. only has the essentials, could certainly expand more! Pool is ok, there were times when you could even swim before the children arrived. It is otherwise well maintained and clean. Restaurant very nice, the food very fine, but too expensive for families. We often just got ice cream and ate pizza once. The location is very nice, you can go jogging, cycling, swimming in the lake, or just linger in the park. The staff is very friendly and even speak German! :) We felt very comfortable despite the noise of military flights and the nearby concert stage! I would have liked a little more peace and quiet. On the whole, however, everything was good, would give 4 out of 5 stars. Best regards

"Vacation before Easter - We were probably a little early in the year. The weather was mixed, the temperature was rather low, especially in the morning, very fresh. The water was turned off in the outdoor areas, washing up was rather difficult in the sanitary facilities. The location is good, the space is generous and the staff are very friendly.

"Place rating - The campsite is generally in good order. Reception very friendly, but short opening hours. Too bad that the grocery store is closed most of the time.

Profil

The family-oriented 4* TCS Camping Sion – a true oasis for sun-seekers and those looking for relaxation – is located at the entrance to the magnificent Valais mountain valleys. Here you can expect plenty of sunshine, the camp's own natural …swimming lake and a diverse entertainment programme. It is not uncommon for people passing through to stay here longer than planned, enchanted by the easy lifestyle with southern charm and the impressive grandeur of the Valais mountains. Nearby, the spectacular surfers paradise ‘Alaïa Bay’, the first wave pool of its kind in continental Europe, has surfing enthusiasts flocking to Sion. After a day of surfing, you can get together in the chill-out lounge in the large communal tent at the surf camp on the campsite, which is lovingly furnished with glamping tents. This is where you can finish off the evenings together and philosophise about the perfect wave and this very special attitude to life over a cold beer.
