- Ralf N.September 2023Dobre straneThe site is located approx. 3 km from Saint Emilion, in the middle of the wine-growing area! Only vineyards in the surrounding area. The village is beautiful! We were given an exceptionally nice welcome at the campsite by a young lady who immediately explained everything. The campsite is situated on a small lake, which can also be navigated by pedal boat. Bistro, bar and bread service on site. The toilets had glasses and paper! They were cleaned at least twice a day. We had a nice pitch near the sanitary buildings. The site also has a pool. There is even a shuttle service to the village!Negativne straneSeveral garbage cans are simply missing on the premises. There are no coat hooks in the toilets, e.g. for a jacketVery close to Saint EmilionThe site is beautifully situated near the village. The sanitary buildings are fairly new and are also cleaned. The toilets and showers are large enough.Automatski prevedeno.
- Andrea K.May 2023Dobre straneVery nicely laid out with a pondNegativne straneCleanliness, noise at nightNot as expectedUnfortunately very disappointing for us! Our pitch was not very well maintained, once briefly over with a mower would be good!
We ordered pizza and baguette via app, both did not work, and we were suggested that we had done it wrong! We have already done this at other CP's, it works there, so?!
The cleanliness... leaves a lot to be desired, it is swept, sprayed, but that is not enough, especially not in the sanitary area next to the pool area, no hooks for towels etc.!
Then it is advertised that a 'security service' ensures nightly peace and quiet, that it does not necessarily have to be at 10pm in the heat, of course, but in 3 nights of 3 nights of noise, from 11:30pm to 4:00am, NO!!!!
The place is not illuminated or defective lamps and last but not least the friendliness, well?Automatski prevedeno. - Silke S.July 2022Dobre straneLarge pitches divided by hedges, beautifully situated with its own small lake. Many excursion possibilities,Negativne straneNoneNice place, not too big placeA beautifully laid out campsite that doesn't seem overcrowded even in high season. The evening entertainment is too loud for our taste, but bearable and ends at 11.00 pm at the latest
There are plenty of trees to provide shade.
Overall, it was a very pleasant stayAutomatski prevedeno. - Martin H.May 2022Dobre straneVery friendly check-in (also in English), everything very well maintained, clean sanitary facilities, very large pitches, approx. 15 min. by bike to the old town of St. Emilion. Good train connection to Bordeaux (31 min.).Negativne straneWe were only here for three nights....Beautiful camping in a beautiful (wine) region...Everything fits here: friendly staff, bread sales at the campsite, beautiful swimming area (especially suitable for small children), large pitches with hedges in between. Clean sanitary facilities, restaurant looks very appealing (but we didn't visit it). Nice cycling opportunities through the (wine) countryside, close to St. Emilion and Bordeaux (train 31 minutes). Visit the Cite de Vin - well worth it!Automatski prevedeno.
- Michael R.July 2016Dobre stranePure culinary delights! Quiet location. Well-managed campsite with excellent facilities and high recreational valueNegativne straneThe bottleneck 'checkout' in the store is unbearable and needs to be improved. This time it did not lead to a rating disadvantage for me ...Top location, very well managed campsite, pure natureSaint Emilion - wine connoisseurs immediately awaken their taste buds. Nestled in the most beautiful natural surroundings, Saint Emilion rises on a mountain, undamaged for centuries and offers visitors some of the best wines in France as well as culinary delights in the numerous restaurants. I didn't... notice any touristy places, we only found good to very good restaurants. The campsite 'Yelloh! Village Saint Emilion' was called 'Domaine de la Barbanne' until some time ago (I think about 3 years ago) and is still signposted as such everywhere around Saint Emilion. Only just before the last exit to the site is it labeled 'Yelloh! Village'. The approach from the south is extremely difficult and I do not recommend it. St. Emilion is unsuitable for crossing with a caravan (no matter how small) or with a motorhome (except camper vans). I therefore recommend approaching from the north via Montagne. On the road between Montagne and St. Emilion, look out for parking spaces on the left, which are blocked off with 2m poles. Shortly afterwards, turn left to the campsite and you will see the first sign with the correct campsite name 'Yelloh! Village Saint Emilion'. You will now be at the campsite in a minute. A very professional team awaits you, extremely friendly and you are informed about all the details of the campsite. I have experienced this much worse at many other Yelloh Villages. The pitches are mostly very large. There are comfort pitches opposite the lake with fresh and waste water. All pitches have electricity. Overall, the campsite can definitely be described as shady. The comfort pitch facing the lake, number 70, is suitable for vampires - the sun only shines here about 2 hours before sunset and only for about 30 minutes. Otherwise you have shade (not to say darkness) all day on this pitch. However, all the other pitches I looked at were fine. The sanitary facilities are state of the art, clean and you are greeted by the cleaning crew with a friendly 'Bonjour' at 7am. Friendliness and cleanliness are the two outstanding features of this campsite anyway. The leisure facilities on site are unusually high: lake with free fishing, heated pool, entertainment all day and into the night but NEVER intrusive, restaurant (ok), store with fresh bread, mini golf, boules, hiking, cycling, bike hire, golf course nearby, free bus transfer to St. Emilion (note: bus could commute much more often...), golf course nearby, St. Emilion as an absolute culinary highlight in terms of wine and food. Conclusion: One of the most pleasant campsites and areas on my four-week vacation tour this year and unusual for Yelloh-Village. A big compliment to the 'Yelloh Village Saint Emilion' team! This also has to be said: The restaurant is o.k. if not particularly good. The service is helpful but not well trained and there is a lack of assistance in the background. But the following point is clearly negative: The small camping store, the wine store and also the self-service terrace have a single central service point (cash desk) which is also the passage to the food area and where the waiters also receive their orders, and is therefore an absolute bottleneck. The food purchases are paid for there, the baguette is collected (handed out by the same person), the restaurant visitors pay at the same till, and someone fetches three lovingly prepared cappuccinos from the self-service area - you wait 30 minutes as I did. There is an urgent need for action here on the part of the otherwise good management.Automatski prevedeno.
- Gaby B.May 2016Dobre stranebeautiful location, great placeNegativne stranea little away from St. Emilionbeautiful camping in the vineyardsThe campsite is about 3 km from St. Emilion. There is a restaurant and a store on site with the essentials - including fresh baguettes. For larger motorhomes, there are also pitches with a paved area where you can park your motorhome and still have the grass "on your doorstep". These pitches also have... electricity, a water connection and are equipped with service water disposal. The staff are very friendly. There are lots of options for children and even in the pre-session there was children's entertainment.Automatski prevedeno.
- Andreas und Petra S.September 2014Any time againMedium-sized site, approx. 3 km from St. Emilion. Beautifully situated in the middle of the wine-growing region on a small lake. A free shuttle service is offered to visit the town. The pitches are on grass, some with an asphalt surface for heavy motorhomes, and are bordered by high hedges. Many large... trees provide plenty of shade. The use of pedal boats and canoes on the lake is free of charge. No free choice of pitch! Only electric barbecues are permitted on the pitch. Charcoal may only be used at the public barbecue areas. WLAN is available for a fee. In mid-September '14 we paid €18 for a motorhome with 2 people including electricity. The sockets are Schuko with the earthing pin slightly off-center, which does not always fit with German Schuko plugs.Automatski prevedeno.
